Ottawa is currently getting spanked by the Rangers 4-0 ... make that 4-1 as the Sens just scored to break the shutout with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd period. Looks like the Rangers will tie the series at 2-2 going back to Ottawa for game 5.

 

After Derrick Brassard tied the game against his former team with less than two minutes remaining, Kyle Turris collected his own rebound and fired the game-winner past Henrik Lundqvist in overtime.

The Caps staived off elimination with a much needed at home when OV broke out of his shell with a beautiful end to ender but head back to Pittsburgh down 3-2.

 

Edmonton was quick out of the gates but have stalled since taking the first 2 in Anaheim as the Ducks have won 3 straight. Game 6 goes tonight in Edmonton with a do or die for the Oil.

St. Louis prolonged their series with a third period goal to take game 5.

Leon Draisaitl cemented his reputation as a certified Duck killer, tearing the roof off Rogers Place with two goals in the first seven minutes helping the Edmonton Oilers force Game 7 with a 7-1, blowout victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Preds eliminate Blues, reach first West Final
Ryan Johansen scored the game-winning goal 3:15 into the third period, and the Nashville Predators advanced to their first Western Conference final in franchise history Sunday by beating the St. Louis Blues 3-1 to take the series in six games.

The Predators will play the winner of the Edmonton/Anaheim game Tuesday.

 

Ottawa can eliminate the Rangers Tuesday if the stars align LOL. The Sens lead the series 3-2.

Pittsburgh can also send the Caps packing tomorrow with a win leading that series 3-2 as well.

Capitals open the scoring with their season on the line tonight



The Washington Capitals lead the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0 in the opening period of Game 6 thanks to a T.J. Oshie power-play goal. The Caps need a win to stay alive in this second-round Eastern Conference series.

 

I question why the Nashville Predators (8-2)are ranked #2 in the power ranking behind the Pittsburgh Penguins (7-3) since the Preds sit after winning their series in 6 while the Pens are still trying to advance. Pittsburgh has a .929 save percentage while Pekka Rinne’s .951 save percentage is the best in playoff history among goalies who have played at least eight games. But he isn’t a one-man show. Eight Predators have scored game-winning goals in eight postseason victories.

Edmonton and Ottawa are 3rd and 4th respectively ...

 

Doesn't really matter at this point who wins the Cup since the remaining teams are made up of almost 75 % Canadian players and a few European with the odd American thrown in there amongst them ... BUT it would be nice to see it come home for once.

Edmonton would be as good a place as any and you will never hear a Flyers fan say that twice LOL.
