As for your opinion on it, I agree 100%.

In the United States, NO woman who is raped and taken to an emergency room is denied treatment. The charge is complete and utter bullshit on its face.

In the emergency room, they test for the presence of sperm in your vaginal tract. And if they find it, they can administer drugs to prevent zygogenesis. They can also check to see if you've conceived, in which case they can administer drugs to force a miscarriage.

So what the bloody FUCK is this about "treatment?" What the fuck are we talking about here? Free abortions, three months later? Is that what all this is about? Is this "huge scandal" really about buyers' remorse three months after Cheri the Cheerleader pulls the train at the frat party?

What about trauma counselling, cognitive therapy or EMDR to treat the reactive depression, PTSD and other psychological consequences of the rape.

This is indeed a messy thread but healthcare insurance in the US seems to be about covering as little as possible for the highest premium possible................so not insuring a condition that stems from being a victim of a sexual assault seems wrong to me!

Perhaps the Catholic church could insure the victims since they have caused enough rape trauma themselves!
