Extremely high crime rates. Extremely high levels of illegal immigration . Extremely high levels of drug abuse . Extremely high levels of homelessness. Extremely high Taxes. And it's probably the bluest state in the country.

Or do you think these problems are a coincidence?

This has been going on for some time now.

    The blue state depression

People are leaving the Hillary-supporting states in droves

When I say the blue states are in a depression, I don’t mean the collective funk they are in because they lost the election to Donald Trump.

I’m talking about an economic depression in the blue states that went for Hillary. Here is an amazing statistic. Of the 10 blue states that Hillary Clinton won by the largest percentage margins — California, Massachusetts, Vermont, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Illinois, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut — every single one of them lost domestic migration (excluding immigration) over the last 10 years (2004-14). Nearly 2.75 million more Americans left California and New York than entered these states.

They are the loser states. They are all progressive. High taxes rates. High welfare benefits. Heavy regulation. Environmental extremism. Super minimum wages. Most outlaw energy drilling. The whole left-wing playbook is on display in the Hillary states. And people are leaving in droves. Day after day, they are being bled to death. So much for liberalism creating a worker’s paradise.

Now let’s look at the 10 states that had the largest percentage vote for Donald Trump. Everyone of them — Wyoming, West Virginia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Dakota, and Idaho — was a net population gainer.

This is part and parcel of one of the greatest internal migration waves in American history as blue states especially in the northeast are getting clobbered by their low tax, smaller government rivals in the south, southeast and mountain regions.

I spent three months in Southern California at the end of 2016 .

It almost made me cry because California used to be the most amazing place in the world .

Everywhere I went I saw zombie like drug addicts, prostitutes and homeless people .

As for the latter people told me that's just the way it is and they even are seen in Beverly Hills .

On the fourth day that I was there my rental car was stolen at noon right in front of my motel room .

When the police arrived they asked me a very simple question and that was why did you come here in the first place ?

    It's a powerful and good question .

Rixer should be here at some point explaining all the virtues of California....

But there are pockets ---big ones of bad areas....
One of the biggest is the LA basin....

I spent 3 years there in the early 70's and loved it but even then some areas white folks did not need to go.
In those 3 years I moved every 6 to 12 months and got a feel for all the cultures....
Hollywood---The Valley---Laurel canyon, West Hollywood----Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach

These years if you dont have a 150,000 a year job or at least a million bucks life there would be a grind.

All of the beaches are beautiful but once you get about two or 3 miles from the beach you enter into a very unpleasant world .

To live in the good California requires genuine wealth .

If you are white and not wealthy you are immediately a target for criminals . As I said my rental car was stolen within five days of arriving right in the middle of the day .

Perhaps if you can get north of San Francisco or east of the San Gabriel or Santa Ana mountains. It's not so bad .

I have heard some good things about Bakersfield but it has a reputation for racism . And of course we know that is the absolute pinnacle of evil in today's culture of political correctness .

California by some estimates is the fifth largest economy in the world so they can afford to pay for this subculture of scum that has invested the state .

We can talk about walls and so forth but between native scum and illegal alien scum they are already there . It's wealth is a rich food source for bacterial growth .

When I was a kid we had rats under our house . My parents built a rat wall underground to prevent further rats but it was already too late .

So I know of what I speak

Bakersfield. LOL You don't know shit about California.:stop::D

I feel sorry for anyone who can't find a wonderful life in California. It literally has something for everybody and if I didn't find that to be true I would move out. Instead, we let the losers move to other states. Yes, it's expensive to live here but I bet my property taxes are lower than most of you guys in other states. We have Prop 13 that regulates property taxes. It doesn't take a freight train full of fuel to heat my house either as the weather is very desirable out here.

    Also weed is legal.:)

No Luck involved. I bought it and paid it off over the years with hard work that was easlily found in the great state of California. If you can't earn a living here with all the high dollar wage earners with hundred dollar bills
falling out of their pockets you should move to Texas.;)

All these liberals moving to conservative states bring their liberalism with them. Then try to turn that state into what they left.

Don't blame California for your lack of searching out opportunities. Hell, even an enterprising window washer can make $100,000.

The first homeless person I ever saw was when I went to California.
I didn't care for the weather much. Foggy and damp. I was only in a small part of California but that was enough.
Drugs were everywhere and that was many years ago when drugs were not that common.
I have been at an airport in California since then but get out as soon as a plane can get off the ground.

Want to see what true liberalism looks like?
    Go to San Francisco.
20 years ago it was a beautiful city, a real gem, wonderful to visit but expensive to even visit.
Shooter was there last year. Literally, shit and trash on the sidewalks and in the gutters downtown, fisherman's wharf a haven of homeless beggars aggressively "begging" for money to "buy food", traffic even worse than it was 20 years ago (Shooter didn't think that possible) and it's still too damn expensive to visit.

I'll be going to San Francisco very soon on a day trip. We'll take the ferry (no bad jokes please) from Vallejo to Fisherman's Wharf, get off and cruise around, have a wonderful seafood lunch and return back by the ferry.

    Life is grand.

    1. msman
That was where I first went to when I was in California. Some people wanted to buy drugs and Fisherman's Wharf was the best and easiest place to do so. When I left California I went to Washington D.C. Now that was a sewer. People sleeping on the streets. I thought they were dead at first.

San Francisco has always been a place for odd people since I can remember. It's a place to "people watch" among other things. You see it all. It's as far from the norm as Harlem is to the state of New York. To base your opinion on that is misguided.

California is the most diverse state in the union. If you can't find what you want here, you're not going to find it anywhere.

      Rixer, May 12, 2017

You are right. I only saw a small part of California. I am basing my opinion on such a small part.
I can't say I didn't enjoy my time there but just never felt the urge to return.
People will usually base their opinion of any state on a very small part of the state.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma and many people ask me how could I stand the flat dry land. I live in the south east corner. It was wooded mountains, lakes, rivers, and streams.
Same thing for Texas. The eastern side is completely different than the western side. Sometimes people only know a small part of the state.

I have not been to Bakersfield I'm just telling you what someone told me .

Before my last three-month trip to California I had lived in LA County orange county and San Diego County but I spent most of my time in orange county specifically around Anaheim so I know orange county the best . I also spent some time up in San Francisco and had to leave because the cost-of-living is among the very highest in the country .

On my last trip I had my rental car stolen at noon right in front of my motel room. That was on the fourth full day that I was there . I then had some people from a couple doors down, tell me they would tell me where the car was if I gave them $50 . I had no choice but to pay them because the car rental company would've charged me a lot more . Before this happened I had to call the police to report the stolen car. Then I had to go to the car and wait for the police to come and dust it for fingerprints. I was traveling with two other girls and because it was about 100° outside they were wearing short shorts and halter tops and I watched them get felt up by local Mexicans who felt that this kind of behavior was appropriate .

When the policeman arrived he turned to them and said you're being awfully friendly with these people aren't you and implied that they were working girls forcing them to prove that they were not and involving me as a character witness . The policeman did this before he even began to deal with the issue of the car .

In the 100 or so days that I was there on this last visit I was robbed twice simply walking down the street . I do everything by credit card so I don't lose any money but it was still a pain and was frightening .

One night I walked outside and saw a girl in the room next to mine huddled in a little ball because she couldn't get back into her room . I went to the manager to see if I could do something to help her and he told me to stay out of it because if I didn't things could get very bad for me .
I later found out that she was part of the ring of people that was stealing bicycles and they were hiding it in the room .

I managed to befriend a few homeless people while I was there and if you say that there is anything good about that life then you clearly don't know shit about what homelessness is like . People driving by and taunting them and throwing eggs at them and one even tried to shoot one of them with a BB gun.

In fact where I was I could walk just a few blocks and count at least a dozen homeless people .

I saw more drugged out zombies than I have ever seen any place else in my life . I saw a man screaming at a wall and then saw him Punch it violently. Until the bricks made his hands bleed .

This was not south-central LA this was the city of Anaheim California . Happiest place on earth? my ass.

On my way back to LAX an uber driver told me that every time he tried to meet a woman on match.com or such sites more times than not it was a woman who tried to charge him for sex .

Over those hundred days I kept moving from place to place trying to find something safe .

It was always the same .

In addition Southern California is completely infested with entitlement minded Mexicans .

On all three occasions where I was a victim of crime I was victimized by Mexican men.

The beaches are indeed beautiful but the rent was far beyond my means .

I have over 50 relatives who used to live in California and nearly all of them have now moved to other states.

They are not losers they are simply people who don't want to subject their children to these kinds of living conditions .

I'm not exactly sure what your fascination with pot is but it comes up in nearly every post . This is interesting to me because pot is said not to be an addictive drug. I have only done it a couple of timeS because it's just not my thing .

I've been all over Europe and I have found pot to be quite prevalent there but it doesn't seem to act as a gateway drug as it does here .

Sociologically I find that interesting .

I'm glad that you have found California to be a pleasant experience . Do you think that you would still think that to be the case if you did not regularly smoke ?

Oh Jesus, that was pretty low. :stop:

Anyway, I don't believe your story. I can make up any shit I want and it won't make it true. I don't know any woman who gets felt up by Mexicans out here in their daily travels. I call bullshit.

Cars get stolen from motels in every state.

I've ran into people from out of state all my life who diss California. Yet what they have pales in what California has to offer.

If you don't like it, stay out, no problem.

We're having a great time without you.;)
