Alison

Laying next to Emily, Alison didn't want to get up just yet. Although she knew they needed to get going. As Emily stood up and started to walk to the bathroom, Alison watched her ass sway back and forth, and it reminded her of the first time she saw Emily on the beach. Once she heard the water running, she got up and went into the bathroom herself.

"You don't mind a little company now do you?" Alison asked with a little grin. She was welcomed with a smile and a kiss, that didn't last as long as Ali had hoped for.

That was alright, they did need to get a move on, and she knew Emily must be worried about her former employer, the head of "the family" as Emily called them.

Alison noticed Emily's smile had disappeared, but Ali just shrugged it off as she just as worried. They were now going to be running for their lives, but somehow that really didn't scare Alison as much as she thought it should have.

After the shower they got dressed, since Emily didn't have any of her clothes, Ali gave her an outfit to have. Even though Emily was a couple of inches taller than she was, Ali had some bigger fitting clothes so it didn't look so bad.

"Once we are out of the city we can stop at a store and get you some more outfits. Okay?"

They then walked out of the apartment and to the rental car that Alison had picked up earlier. Alison unlocking the doors opened the driver's side and then saw Emily not opening hers, but instead had this look of fear and Ali noticing tears welling up in Emily's eyes.

"Em, everything is going to be alright, come get into the car and we will talk some more if you want, but we mustn't stand out here in broad daylight."

 

Emily

“OK,” Emily shook her head to clear it and got into the car. “Zephyrhills here we come!” She forced a smile.

They set off, and Emily tried to relax. Now they wanted to be inconspicuous it was a bit unnerving how even in a car she and Alison together attracted so many looks, but as long as it wasn’t The Family looking it didn’t really matter. You couldn’t tell though, who it was that was looking…

They stopped at a cash machine so she could try her cards, but they were all rejected. She threw them in a bin – another bit of her old life gone. Somehow she and Ali would have to work out how to make some money.

Actually the whole thing about what to do next was huge. This place Zephyrhills was just for a few days, and it was still in Florida. In fact never mind Florida probably the whole country was unsafe now.

She turned to Ali, who looked so beautiful concentrating on her driving.

“Ali,” she started, “what do you think about getting out of the States? I think I have to, really, now. We could go to…I don’t know…England? South America? What’s Chile like? Or New Zealand even? What do you think?

“I have to get a new passport too, mine’s still in my apartment obviously. You’ve got yours, at least? You have got one?”

God, there was so much to rebuild. So much to learn, after her easy, pampered life. Well they’d have to get on the internet at Ali’s friend’s and see about everything. Flights, embassies, clothes, money... it was going to be tough.

Alison

"Yes, I have my passport. I haven't given any thought of leaving the country though, but why don't we take it one day at a time." Alison wasn't too sure about going that extreme and leaving the country, but understood what Emily was saying.

"Well hey when we get over alligator alley and into Naples, why don't we stop and get something to eat. Maybe do a little shopping for some more outfits for you." Alison tried to stay positive, they did have the money her friend had wired to her.

"You know its been awhile since I have been on road trip. My sisters and I use to play all these road trip games, wherever we would go. Did you ever do that when you were growing up?"

As they continued and gotten into Naples, Alison followed the signs to this little cafe that she had heard of that was vegetarian friendly. A little place where you can order, pay, then leave if you like and no one would look at you twice for doing so, they both decided since it was slow there that afternoon they grabbed a table to enjoy their food.

"Alright, when we get to Zephyrhills, my friend is good with getting things done in a sort amount of time, but we should be okay for a few days, right? She can help us with finding an embassy for you to get another passport, but we will probably have to earn our keep." Ali stopped for a second to give Emily a little grin.

"You said you like animals, well Jessie owns a huge dairy farm so she will put us to work. Who knows she might offer us a job if we want to save up for a little while. She is always hiring farm hands to help with all the cattle. I don't know how quickly you would get your temporary passport, but it could take a few days or maybe a couple of weeks, and even harder if they got a report that you had been killed."

"We don't have to talk about it right now, just some things to think about. Come on let's go shopping."

 

Emily

“Wow that’s great Ali,” Emily smiled at her new girlfriend as she made to start on her nut salad. Girlfriends simply did not come more gorgeous than Alison. And so loyal; so thoughtful; totally on her side, even if she wasn’t yet ready to leave the States.

In spite of the emergency Emily’s pussy gave a little tingle at the thought of this girl being hers. The memory of their quickie that morning came back to her and gave her a glow.

She couldn’t believe not having a smartphone though. No Internet. She hadn’t liked to say anything but it was a pity Ali hadn’t kept the smartphone she’d bought and just changed the sim…well, anyway, people used to travel without internet access didn’t they? She’d just have to find out about passports when they arrived in Zephyrhills on this farm.

At least there might be a job! With animals! At Vets College she’d specialised more in small animals and wildlife than livestock, but she’d still been OK with them. Or even if it was just being a farm hand that would be OK. They could save up, somewhere out of the way…

“Road trip games? No, what are they? You can’t do a road tip in New Zealand but we do travel. Everyone has to go to England, you know, see the world. Backpack; do South America or Europe or the States. Then most of us go back, but not all of us. Quite a few of us go right round the world, like I was up until…” she petered out, her mind confused suddenly.

“Anyway some clothes would be great. I need some undies and more jeans and a jacket. Pullover. Socks. Then a chemists? Can we? Toothbrush, hairbrush, tweezers, emery boards, shampoo, gel, creams, tampons, makeup…my God Ali I need everything! Are you OK for money? Really? Well we'll just get basic stuff. Thanks! You're amazing Ali!”

They ate in silence for a while, fuelling up. Then they stood and went to pay.

“Anyway, clothes. Cmon then, are you going to dress me?” Emily grinned and nudged Ali with her hip. “You need a few things? Are we going to share a changing room?”

 

I'm loving the story so far!

Hi GG and HCB, It is great to see two great writers such like yourselves collaborate on a great story such as this one.

I found Love and Death in Miami to be a exciting story to read so far. I love the visual references that helps readers like myself have better idea of what the descriptions in the story are referring to.

I love how the characters Alison and Emily each shared some similarities and had some differences about each of them. It had me thinking....How they're the same?....What is different about them? I like that the both of y'all are feeding the reader little bits and pieces about each of the female characters. I'm loving how the bond is growing between the two.

I was even more excited about the twists and turns in this story, as well as the action and danger that was lurking around the corner.

In my opinion, I had seen that this story presented a challenge for the both of you and y'all seem to try to outperform each other. The story is forcing both of you to perform your best.

So hats off to both GG and HCB for writing this wondering story so far and I can't wait for the other parts to be posted.
