    Ok so you admit the computers are not really secure. And the "public" isn't even allowed in the offices let alone the computer rooms are they? And wasn't it authorized personell who stole the information on the CIA's inner workings wasn't it? Aren't they looking for a mole who had the highest level of security clearance?

    You're the expert on this so you tell me.

    I am 65 years-old and I not only remember Y2K we had a Radio Shack "Trash 80" at the time and on 01/01/2000 all it would do is turn on. It would not load and operate a single program and everything we had on it was lost forever. And there might have been an update somewhere that I missed that would have prevented that but that was my personal Y2K experience.But that doesn't have anything to do with the simple fact that computers and systems crash everyday and lose data and information. And as well all know backing them up creates even more ways for them to be hacked.

    Well then in that case there is no way Sally Yates could have the White Council view the evidence they had on Mike Flynn at the White House is there? Glad you finally admired that yourself.

    That is why they still use microfilm and special hard drive back up copies although that might not be the correct term for them.

    But to more specifically answer your question storing all the paper work and microfilm is actually a huge problem for the government which is one reason why they are constantly building on to the facilities they have and even store miles worth of record in secure underground facilities.

    Why yes I certainly do remember that. Do you remember Clinton had to print everyone of those emails out on paper and send all 50,000+ copies of them to the State Department so save? Which certainly proves my point doesn't it? Glad you brought that up.

    From what I have seen and read about 90% of what Wikileaks have published has been authentic. With recent exceptions being some of the emails from the DNC and Podesta. And the hack or Marcon just before the French election which is reported to contain fakes and forgeries.

    PS I also wanted to add that just from reading your posts on this forum you claim to have been in the military, worked some place in the government that required a security clearance, worked in a hospital for 20 years, and now a power plant. My my that is a very impressive and unbelievable resume.

    I agree. They are still looking for the leaks. Some of them have left a paper trail. We do not hear very much about those.
    I am far from being an expert. I know how to turn mine off and on. I do have friends who are experts.

    I don't even know what a Trash 80 is. I had a computer but don't remember even what brand. I knew the computers we had at work didn't even blink. The control computers were not connected to the internet. You are about the same age as I am.

    PEDS are allowed in the safe rooms in the U.S. She could have loaded what she had on a laptop and hand carried it there. Could have taken a recording of a phone call on a tape recorder.

    Storage is a problem. That is why they are going to computers. Some parts of the government are going totally paperless.

    No, Clinton gave her lawyers her computer and let them pick and choose what to send. That is probably why you think there were only 50,000 emails. Several months worth are still missing along with several of her personal phones. By the way, giving them to her lawyer was against the law.

    Why would you think WikiLeaks has been authentic except for the emails from the DNC and Podesta? Do you remember the emails that said Hillary was given the debate questions in advance? Everyone said they were fake. Have you noticed the woman who sent them has now confessed?

      I think it was named a TRS 80, maybe stood for Tandy Radio Shack, but we all called it a trash 80.

      Then came the Commodore 64. We thought we died and went to heaven. But that's from memory
      and may be incorrect.

    Ok so once again you admit intelligence agencies still use paper. Thanks.

    And if you actually bothered to watch some news or read it on he intenet you woild know that the person they are looking for who delivered the top secret information from the CIA to Wikileaks was a mole that had to have one of the highest security clearances to be able to access the information. And he could very well already be in Russia.

    A "Trash 80" was I believe the first computer Radio Shack made.

    But once again this tangent has nothing to do with computers and computer systems crashing all the time which is why government agencies still use paper and microfilm.

    You keep directly contradicting yourself on this point. Over on the CIA thread you said Yates would not have had to hand carry anything and they could do it all over computers. And over here you are saying the opposite. And contradictions can never be true can they? So which is it?

    But definitely not the FBI, DOJ, or intelligence community which is what I have been saying all along.

    I am not even going to address this false narrative tangent. The fact remains that Clinton sent actually 55,000 pages of emails to the State Department to same.

    And I wold futher point out that when government agencies respond to FIA requests those are also sent in paper form so they can be redacted. And a copy of that is saved by the agency.

    Both the DNC and Podesta said some of their emails were altered and some they could no even find on their servers. And no I definitely do not remember Donna Brazil or anyone else ever saying that the emails released where she gave Clinton some of the questions that might be asked during the debate were faked. But if you say they did post proof of that right here.

    And you sure are selective about what you respond to. One thing I have noticed you are very consistent about is ignoring anything that proves you wrong.

      Run and ask your handlers to provide examples of hacked DNC e Mails released by WikiLeaks that have been altered or changed. A DNC e mail, or a Podesta e mail, or a Clinton e mail, or a Yates e mail will do.

      If you can post specific examples (one will do) then we can discuss the rest of your slanted view of computer security and reliability in government.

    Everyone who has ever been featured on Wikileaks has claimed for the press that docs were altered or faked.

    But no one-- NO ONE-- has EVER proven it. Not once.

    Wikileaks has been challenged many times for libel. Wikileaks has NEVER been shown to have altered or fabricated a single word.

    Podesta and Brazile are full of shit.

    Wikileaks is the most factual and authoritative window we have, into the real inner workings of our government.

    That was not what you said @msman. You said Everyone said they were fake. And I asked you for proof of that statement which of course you won't and can't provide because once again it is another one of your totally false statements.

    And now you are just trying to duck and dodge your way out of it by changing your story.

    Although I do admit Donna Brazil not only admitted what she did but did actually say it was the worst day of her life and something she will always regret doing it.

    First Trump fires Comey. Then the very next day he invites both the Russian ambassador and Foreign Minister into the Oval Office because Putin asked him to during their phone call. Which elevated the Russians to the highest level ever. And then they blocked the US press from attending and only allowed the Russian press in the meeting. Which was not only a slap in the face to our own press but also caused both current and former intelligence people to freak out because Trump invited Russian spies into the Oval Office where they could take pictures of what is supposed to be a secure room and plant bugs.

    And then within minutes after the meeting was over the Russian press had all their propaganda including pictures splashed all of over their state run media bragging about how Trump had elevated them to such a high level and that it proves Russia is better and Trump is their friend.

    And so how does the White House react?

    ‘They tricked us!’: White House ‘furious’ Russia posted Trump photos on official government accounts

    Hands down the biggest train wreck of incompetent clowns that have ever plagued the White House.

    Wow.
    Now Trump is letting Russian spies into the Oval office to plant bugs and photograph a secure room!
    The rascal!

    Wait. The oval office is one of the most photographed rooms in the white house. Why would Trump have to specifically invite Russian spies in there to photograph it?

    Why, hell, one can even get blueprints of the entire white house, INCLUDING the oval office, right off of the internet!

    And as for bugs? Well, maybe the Russians could, cause, you know, the Oval office has in fact been "bugged" since 1971. Remember Watergate?

    Of course, the Russian spy would have to actually sneak the bug past the Secret Service, who are particular about screening visitors, then plant the damn thing, then figure out how to get the signal past the TOP SECRET surveillance counter measures the secret service utilizes, and finally, figure out how to keep the damn bug from being discovered during the daily electronic sweeps of not only the oval office, but the ENTIRE FUCKING WHITE HOUSE.

    1. xxxaddict76
      Per President Dipshit he himself bugged the White House because of his paranoia. So it looks President Dipshit wiretapped himself.

      Now you'll have to put a source out there before Shooter can accept your statement.
      And, keep in mind, every President since at least Nixon has "bugged" the oval office.

    And this was BEFORE Trump fired Comey.

    American voters, who gave President Donald Trump a slight approval bump after the missile strike in Syria, today give him a near-record negative 36 - 58 percent job approval rating, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today. Critical are big losses among white voters with no college degree, white men and independent voters.

    Today's job approval rating compares to a negative 40 - 56 percent approval rating in an April 19 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University and a negative 35 - 57 percent score April 4, his lowest approval rating since he became president.

    The president is losing support among independent voters and groups which are important parts of his base. Approval ratings are:
    • Negative 29 - 63 percent among independent voters, down from a negative 38 - 56 percent April 19;
    • A split among white voters with no college degree, as 47 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove, compared to a 57 - 38 percent approval April 19;
    • White men go from a 53 - 41 percent approval April 19 to a split today with 48 percent approving and 46 percent disapproving.
    American voters' opinions of several of Trump's personal qualities are down:
    • 61 - 33 percent that he is not honest, compared to 58 - 37 percent April 19;
    • 56 - 41 percent that he does not have good leadership skills, little change;
    • 59 - 38 percent that he does not care about average Americans, compared to 57 - 42 percent April 19;
    • 66 - 29 percent that he is not level-headed, compared to 63 - 33 percent last month;
    • 62 - 35 percent that he is a strong person, little change;
    • 56 - 41 percent that he is intelligent, compared to 58 - 38 percent;
    • 64 - 32 percent that he does not share their values, compared to 61 - 35 percent.
    "There is no way to spin or sugarcoat these sagging numbers," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

    "The erosion of white men, white voters without college degrees and independent voters, the declaration by voters that President Donald Trump's first 100 days were mainly a failure and deepening concerns about Trump's honesty, intelligence and level headedness are red flags that the administration simply can't brush away," Malloy added.

    American voters disapprove 52 - 40 percent of the way Trump is handling the economy. His grades on handling other issues are:
    • 44 percent approve of the way he is handling U.S. policy toward North Korea and 48 percent disapprove;
    • Disapprove 59 - 36 percent of the way he is handling foreign policy;
    • 45 percent approve of the way he is handling terrorism and 48 percent disapprove;
    • Disapprove 62 - 35 percent of the way he is handling immigration.
    Trump and the Media

    American voters disapprove 58 - 37 percent of the way the news media covers Trump. Voters disapprove 65 - 31 percent of the way Trump talks about the media. And voters trust the media more than Trump 57 - 31 percent to tell the truth about important issues.

    Trump's first 100 days in office have been "mainly a failure," 58 percent of voters say, while 38 percent say they have been "mainly a success."

    By a 54 - 38 percent margin, American voters want the Democratic Party to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives. This is the widest margin ever measured for this question in a Quinnipiac University poll, exceeding a 5 percentage point margin for Republicans in 2013.

    If Democrats had won control of the U.S. Senate in the 2016 elections, the country would be in a better place than it is now, 41 percent of voters say, while 27 percent say it would be in a worse place and 30 percent say it would be the same.

    American voters dislike Democrats less than they dislike Republicans:
    • Voters disapprove 71 - 22 percent of the way Republicans in Congress do their job;
    • Voters disapprove 58 - 34 percent of the way Democrats in Congress are doing their job.
    From May 4 - 9, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,078 voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points. Live interviewers call landlines and cell phones.

    The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D., conducts public opinion surveys in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado and the nation as a public service and for research.

    A controversial mining project in Alaska’s Bristol Bay soon could receive a green light after the Environmental Protection Agency on Friday reached a settlement agreement with a small Canadian company that has been seeking to apply for permission to build what could be the world’s largest gold and copper mine.

    The project has been stuck in legal limbo since the EPA decision to block the mine, even before the company had submitted its permit applications. The EPA ruling came on the heels of a study that concluded that large-scale mining in the Bristol Bay watershed posed significant risk to salmon and adversely could affect Alaska Natives in the region whose culture is built around salmon.

    Stop the press briefings, the Press isn't giving an honest assessment of the briefings to begin with.

    As for the Manufactured Trump/Russia election involvements, I predict this story will remain for the entirety of Trumps term...still, with no factual basis of the story, almost a year of investigations around this story and still no proof.

    Trump's plans could double US GDP growth by 2018

    President-elect Donald Trump's policies have the potential to trigger a new age in U.S. economic growth that could serve as a global template, according to a Deutsche Bank forecast.

    Gross domestic product growth would be double its current level under an agenda that cuts regulations across a broad swath of critical sectors, enacts tax reform that slashes personal and corporate taxes, and calls for at least $1 trillion in improvements for bridges, roads and other public projects.

    "This policy mix has the potential of reigniting productivity growth and raising U.S. growth potential," David Folkerts-Landau, chief economist at Deutsche Bank, said in a report for clients. "While Trump introduces higher uncertainty, this is better than the near certainty of the continuation of a mediocre status quo."

    In raw numbers, that would push 2017 growth to 2.4 percent and 2018 up to 3.6 percent. By way of comparison, the economy has grown an average of about 1.6 percent a year under President Barack Obama, the worst recovery since the Great Depression. Obama is the first president since Herbert Hoover not to see at least 3 percent growth for a calendar year.
