The most likely suspects are the ones who get the most worked up by the idea of socks. People who are the most threatened by others doing exactly what they are doing.

That's pretty common human behavior. Projection and evasion are especially effective methods of avoiding personal responsibility. No I don't do that but James does. You know comments like that . It's pretty childish but it works disturbingly well . When these people are enabled by other members no one has benefited . And there is a great deal of enabling that happens on here because people can form artificial relationships which to them are superior to the lack of relationships in their real lives . But even I admit that it's a step up from make-believe friends that people commonly have in childhood and even more sadly into adolescence and adulthood .

Other likely suspects are the ones who are the quickest to resort to personal attacks especially those who are the quickest to resort to profanity . There are certainly a large number of people on here who fit that description . It might not be their fault because Tourette's medication is not always effective assuming that there is an organic cause. For the others switching from identity to identity might serve as an ersatz method of behavior therapy .

Other possibilities include people who may have been unsuccessful in presenting a postulate as one personality so they try to create another personality to either present it again with slightly different wording or to present an opposite point of view.

In either of those cases it's a search for validation .

Other suspects are people who are very threatened by people who ignore them .

I can only understand people like this academically but I have learned that there are many people like this. These are the people who view being ignored not as a neutral event in their lives but an active attack on their need for approval. How dare you ignore me ? Do you think you're better than me ? These are the haunting thoughts that inhabit their head.

Also the people who get most worked up by socks are the ones who are most resistant to solutions . Clearly everyone who comes on here has to come from a specific address . If multiple members come from that specific address would it not make sense to view their identity as suspect? Surely such a filtering process that takes this into account would be effective at filtering out multiple identities .

The very people who are the most worked up about socks are the ones who appear to be the most resistant to such a solution . The reasons for this are obvious because they wouldn't be able to be a sock themselves .

I was about to make a list of the people who are most likely to have multiple identities but I have done that in separate posts and to repeat it here would be redundant .

Now I have presented a method for removing what many claim is a major problem on here. I have presented a method of identification and and I have suggested a filtering process.

I feel that these are constructive ideas .

You can adopt them or come up with your own solutions or you can simply continue to bitch .
