  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

I found that, for building muscle tone and muscle-to-weight ratio, rowing was excellent. Exercises ever major muscle group - stomach, back, arms, legs. If you do it 'for real' so to speak, make sure you do the stuff with the boats with sliding seats - stationary seats suck. Rowing machines have the same effect, they're just less fulfilling - you're not going anywhere dammit! I used to love rowing. Then I had to give it up, I ran out of time. Next on the agenda is rock-climbing. I'm 6'3" but I'm skinny - wiry as fuck. So hopefully sit-ups+press-ups each night, coupled with rock climbing, will put a bit of bulk on. I should eat more red meat, but I'm lazy. I hate cooking in student halls - the kitchen is so depressing.

If you are taking up rock climbing then you don't want to bulk up too much. Extra weight to drag up that rock face! And when you start climbing avoid the E numbers. They're dangerous!

This is true. I doubt I'll ever get to the E's - plus what I've seen of them, they look to fucking sketchy to be that much fun. Smear-climbing - no thank you. That said, it could be the most ridiculous adrenaline rush!

I can't bulk up that much - I don't have the frame for it. I'll just get more strangth and stamina without ending up with shoulders like an ox. I'd better not, anyway! My tailor-made PureGoffic™ greatcoat wouldn't fit me anymore!

I was never any good with heights, which kind of rstricted my career as a climber. I used to go to an indoor wall a couple of times a week (back before I had kids) and just work out bouldering problems (mainly because I could do them 3 feet off the ground, not 30 feet!). I loved the physical and mental challenge, but the heights kind of freaked me out. I've still got a pair of old rock boots in the bottom of my wardrobe, though. Maybe one day I'll give it another go.

Don't forget that you can burn a lot of calories between the sheets, on the counter or behind the garage! Especially if it's hot outside. ;)

It might not be totaly diet related. This link is related to a practice in Canada but i think you might find it interesting. A buddy of mine was in a similar situation and had dealt with it all his life. He got this procedure and he is so happy now. Goes to the beach etc.

He keeps saying he has " Manboobs" .

This is excess adipose tissue around the chest area in men and it is a condition not because some men are overweight.

At 5' 10" and 190lbs he is not really overweight. Just excess adipose tissue around the chest.

As i said it is a condition and if you read the whole page you would see that it is a condition and excersise may not be effective.

Zerbie, would you say you are obese or overly fat or did you start noticing the whole excess fat around the chest area after puberty??

or it could be caused by excess FAT tissue, you don't have to be fat to have a high body fat percentage

At 5' 10" 190 lbs you are not obese but your BMI is around 28 which puts you into the overweight category (25-29.9). The differences in frame and muscle mass can provide enough extra fatty tissue to give you man boobs.

While you probably don't need to loose much weight you should consider strength training to work on building a better muscle mass.

Work on upper body strength. If you can't afford equipment there is always push ups and chin ups. Grab a couple of gallons of water and curl them. The solution is exercise/calorie balance to achieve and maintain his goal.

The whole discussion of fat calories vs. protein or carb calories really breaks down to simple math. If you burn 2000 calories a day and consume 2500 a day you will gain about a pound every 10 days. There is different impact on blood sugar levels and how the calories are used on a candy bar vs. an equivalent salad with grilled chicken.

Our society has developed too many easy ways to consume absolute crap and our taste buds have adjusted to it. I haven't had any type of soda in years and whenever I take a drink of one I can barely swallow it. It is just a lifestyle adjustment and after time you get a whole different impression on what tastes good.

First a disclaimer: I am totally unqualified to give fitness advice, but I am also quite obsessive. So when I got back into working out a few years ago, I did a LOT of research. I discovered my buddies and I were really screwing up when we were younger. :( Anyway...

If you are weightlifting to build muscle mass, I think you should go with .8 to .9 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Then, if protein is 30% of your caloric intake (see previous post), you should be able to back into your daily calorie total.

That is a good bit more protein than the FDA (or whoever it is) recommends. I can't remember what it is, but I am sure it is under .5 grams per pound.

You mean that really is her age? Then, I totally agree with that! And that's really impressive considering we like to fry everything possible down here. (Whoever discovers a way to fry green beans will be a millionaire;) )

I came across the Piggit pics thread and said there was no way she was that old.

I think running is the best excersize for weight loss, if you body can stand the constant impact & stress to knees, back, ankles, etc.
