I'm all for the metric system. It's actually much easier and makes a lot more sense. But, just this one track and field event, just this one, for tradition sake, make it one mile. That's all I'm saying.

As for a sporting event kind of race, I would agree that Nascar is one of the worst. Running relay races are dumb as well, you'd have to wait for the team mate to make their lap, then pray that they (Or you) don't drop the baton as it's being passed over.
