So im working on a story about two sister that both like the same boy and the boy like them back. But i cant think if a way to start off the story.

Some point of their back ground

-He was their babysitter when they was young.
-They went to school with each other.
-Stayed at each others house before.
-They are like family.

THATS SOME STUFF ABOUT THEM CAN ANY ONE HELP ME OUT IN HOW TO START THIS OFF.

 

"They went to school with each other"... who? If you're talking about sisters who aren't terribly far apart in age, that would be pretty obvious. If you're talking about the sisters and the "boy" attending school together, how likely is it that he is old enough to "babysit" for them if he attends the same school?

You're providing fairly minor details- I suggest you put more work into your plot.

How and where you start the story will depend on what you expect to have happen- the plot should "grow" from a logical place or event.

You mention words like "young" and "boy", so you might want to check the site rules and make sure your story meets the appropriate age requirements. Good luck.

 

In addition to what aesopstails said above...please make sure that if you're going to take the time to write and then post a story that it is worth of being read. What do I mean?

Grammar. Spelling. Punctuation. They are free, so don't be afraid to use them properly. You don't buy a book from a bookstore and find it littered with mistakes like the ones above. Granted, you were writing a post and not a story, but still, if the above is indicative of what your story is going to be like, you're going to disappoint some.

Take pride in your work. It is, after all, a reflection of you and your capabilities.

 

How about he the guy who mows there lawn during the summer. He's a shy kid but good looking

 

well it sounds like u have the makings for a good story its not a great idea because its hard to weave it all together and it flow like a good story should first off if he was their baby sitter he would typically be older by a couple years first off second if they were several years apart it would make them going to the same school hard and it work well u could change ur story to that he was a kid next door almost like and older brother looked out for them was a year older and he would babysit sometimes but mostly just keeping an eye on them to make sure everything is ok so u could put them in 8th 9th or 10 grade those are probably the best age groups for this story if u want the truth this story unless u work hard and spend lots of time making it work and flow will suck so i suggest tweaking the details and spending many hours working on it getting more advice from writers who are very talented

 

i hope my criticism helps and i hope u will take it to heart most people who write stories here dont do it extremely well but the ones who do spends hours working on it revising tweaking brainstorming and having fun with it u have the makings for a great long term series but there is a problem ur ideas must flow if they dont ur story will crash and burn i wish u the best of luck and will look forward to reading it

you could start it out like how they met if it was in like the third grade whether he just moved in or something and build the story as their relationship grows but u must be careful to not spend too much time developing ur characters or it will be boring but u also dont want weak characters so spend some time working on building the characters and their background to make a dynamite story but make sure u spice it up and make it interesting so they will keep reading then u may work up every builder knows to build something great u must have a good foundation thats what u need a solid firm foundation to build up and make something amazing

 

ok my bad what u could do is do background like that then work ur way up and honestly their are hundreds of stories of underage that have not been removed because the are so popular i wish u the bets of luck

 

Incorrect.

Staff has limited time, they do what they can. If an underage story is pointed out, it gets removed. If they see one, it gets removed. Also, the author gets warned, and if he/she continues to post after the warning, the ban hammer comes down like a ton of bricks.

 

still hundred are out there and some very well known but not removed because people like them so much and wont report it

 

So, when you say you're "working" on the story and you don't even have the beginning of it, what exactly are you working on?

I'm going to make a pledge to report at least 50 stories per day, no, make it 100 stories per day. I'm going to thin out the entire "young" category and then I'll work on others next.
