its interesting the thread title suggests we'll see posts about Democratic hopefuls.
But what we see almost exclusively is posts about trump and deplorables.
No matter, Shooter doubts anyone much bothers to read them anyway.

But here's a post about a despicable who might have trouble getting reelected.
Ohio human trafficking bust 'Operation Ohio Knows' nets 161 arrests (usatoday.com)
Largest human trafficking sting in Ohio history nets 161, including city councilman
    Dean Narciso
    The Columbus Dispatch
COLUMBUS, Ohio – A firefighter, college professor and a Cleveland-area city councilman were among 161 people arrested in a sex sting operation last week, described as the state's largest focused on human trafficking.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, law enforcement officials from multiple counties, social service providers and former human trafficking victims met in the Ohio Statehouse on Monday to talk about the initiative.
Dubbed "Operation Ohio Knows," the weeklong sting was intended to create a deterrent for those who seek sex for pay or profit, Yost said.
"We want to send a message to everybody in the country: Don't buy sex in Ohio," he said.
    'Operation Ohio Knows'
Law enforcement fanned out across the state, communicating with hundreds of men seeking sex. For every arrest made, officers contacted up to eight "johns" whose actions didn't meet the elements of any crime, said Chief Deputy Rick Minerd of the Franklin County sheriff's office.
Three of the perpetrators were willing to pay to have sex with people they thought were minors. Ten minors reported missing were recovered during a simultaneous operation carried out by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Fifty-one women, would-be victims, were provided assistance by social service advocates. It was unclear how many of the women were charged.
Most of those arrested were charged with engaging in prostitution, a first-degree misdemeanor. Other charges related to drugs and firearms.
A change in state law passed in the spring requires those convicted to undergo human trafficking education.
"We cannot arrest our way out of human trafficking," Yost said, noting that arrests are nevertheless important as a deterrence. "If there are no buyers, there will be no trafficking."
He wants people to know that it's not a victimless crime.
"When you are the buyer, you have no idea who you're dealing with," he said. "The pimp, the trafficker, doesn't show up and sit in the corner watching you. The survivor doesn't tell you, 'I don't want to do this, but if I don't, I'm going to be beat' or 'He's going to withhold my drugs.'

The City Councilman is Mark Jessie, a despicable.
Mark Jessie for Elyria Council Ward 3 | LorainCounty.com Election Candidate Information

Now, to be clear, Mr. Jessie has plead not guilty and certainly deserves his day in court before being labeled a sex trafficker.
    Right?
And the fact that he happens to be a despicable isn't really an issue.
    Right?

    So the whole point is, when one of our politicians is scooped up in these raids or finds their reputation dragged through the mud by the media over some sexual thing we need to be very careful and keep in mind two things;
    1) Until convicted they are to be considered INNOCENT until proven guilty. That can be a hard concept for some people to grasp, especially for folks who have lived under a more, shall we say, judgmental legal system. No matter. In America, it's INNOCENT until proven guilty.
    2) Political party is pretty much a non issue. See, both despicables and deplorables can get caught up in this nasty business, and we can certainly villainize them for it, but not based on their politics. Cause, as far as Shooter can tell, none of the mainstream political parties much tolerates sexual misconduct more than the others.

We can all agree on this, right?
    Don't you agree,@stumbler and @anon_de_plume and @thinskin and @Bron Zeage ?

That Gaetz, and Trump and Kavanaugh deserve the same INNOCENT until proven guilty consideration that Mr. Jessie deserves?

So then, Hilary isn't a murderer and Bill isn't a rapist?

Apply for own standards to your own, first, then I might take you up on this...

Also, why are we no longer allowed to discuss Trump? Are you trying to hide something? Bury thing under a mountain of deflection?

Shooter agrees with bron; we need to hold miscreants accountable for their actions and our public officials to a higher standard than us common minions. And political party is irrelevant.

And thinskin, Kavanaugh was vetted many times before his supreme court nomination. Curious that until the despicables decided to fight his supreme court nomination Dr. Ford had no allegations to make. In Shooters opinion Dr. Ford was as much a victim of political thuggery as Kavanaugh.

Hey anon, if you've read Shooter's posts you know that he's cut Hilary and Bill a lot of slack compared to others, and for damn sure Shooter has been a lot more fair than you've been with Trump and for that matter any deplorables. You ought to get down off that high moral ground before you fall.

You can discuss Trump all you want. It's just laughable that you can't move on from Trump and onto the biden/harris debacle.
What are you and despicables trying to hide with biden?
    You know, current affairs, right?

Presumably George Floyd was entitled to the same innocent until proven guilty treatment? Or shall we go back and examine your history on that particular subject?

You are welcome to do that. To save you the trouble, Shooter said from the beginning that it looked like murder, Floyds history was irrelevant, and let justice run its course.
If you think otherwise, have at it.

Mr. Floyd was not a registered Republican and was not a candidate for elected office. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a luxury he could not afford. Floyd had to presumed guilty, so the man who murdered him could be presumed innocent.

But not worth (again) proving you're wrong, so enjoy the delusion and the anger.

Common knowledge is, if you are arrested by the police and you don't have anything to say that would benefit you, the smart thing is keep your mouth shut, be processed and wait for your day in court.

This works no matter what color you are.....

A person probably will avoid that if they cooperate after being told they are under arrest... George Floyd choose to fight a battle that for all practical purposes he could not win.

Floyd was old enough and had been arrested before, so he was aware that he was in no position to resist and be successful.

Yes, Derek Chauvin tried to say that when he was presumed innocent, but unfortunately for Officer Chauvin, he kept his knee on Floyd's neck for 8 minutes after Floyd lost the fight.

It's what we used to call "showboating". Chauvin knew Floyd. He had a crew of rookies he wanted to impress and an audience to witness his power. Chauvin's showboat sank, taking all aboard with it.

Nikki Haley, in a shift, says 2024 candidacy not dependent on whether Trump runs
    Dylan Stableford and Jon Ward
    Wed, October 6, 2021, 1:13 PM·4 min read
    In this article:

Nikki Haley changed her tune this week on a possible 2024 presidential bid, saying she will make a decision to run that is not dependent on whether former President Donald Trump has decided to seek another term himself.

Showing just how delicately Republican presidential hopefuls have to dance in the shadow of Trump, the former U.N. ambassador told the Wall Street Journal that the ex-president is a friend whom she’d consult before launching her own White House bid. But she also said she disagrees with him that the 2020 election was stolen.

“There was fraud in the election, but I don’t think that the numbers were so big that it swayed the vote in the wrong direction,” Haley said in an interview published by the Journal on Tuesday.

Haley was sharply critical of Trump after the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, which sought to overturn the results of the election, but she has since softened her tone.

“His actions since Election Day will be judged harshly by history,” Haley said in a speech to the Republican National Committee on Jan. 7, the day after a violent mob of Trump supporters — spurred on by the then president’s conspiracy theories — stormed the U.S. Capitol. “It’s deeply disappointing.”

“He went down a path he shouldn’t have," she added in an interview with Politico. “We shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”

In April, however, Haley appeared ready to let a Trump presidency happen again, telling the Associated Press that she wouldn’t run for president in 2024 if he did.

“I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it,” she said at the time.

In her interview with the Journal, Haley, a former governor of South Carolina, gave herself more room to launch her own bid for the presidency, regardless of what Trump does.

“In the beginning of 2023, should I decide that there’s a place for me, should I decide that there’s a reason to move, I would pick up the phone and meet with the president,” she said. “I would talk to him and see what his plans are. I would tell him about my plans. We would work on it together.”

She also made clear that Trump is welcome in the GOP, whether he runs or not.

“He has a strong legacy from his administration,” Haley said. “He has the ability to get strong people elected, and he has the ability to move the ball, and I hope that he continues to do that. We need him in the Republican Party. I don’t want us to go back to the days before Trump.”

Haley isn’t the only possible Republican presidential contender walking a fine line when it comes to Trump, who remains popular among GOP voters despite being a lightning rod of controversy among the broader electorate.

On Monday, former Vice President Mike Pence, who was a target of vitriol and violent rhetoric during the Jan. 6 riot, dismissed the media’s continued focus on the attack.

“I know the media wants to distract from the Biden administration’s failed agenda by focusing on one day in January,” Pence told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “They want to use that one day to try and demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again and supported our administration in 2016 and 2020.”

Trump, in an attempt to bolster his baseless assertions that the election was stolen, had falsely claimed that Pence could stop the constitutionally mandated electoral vote certification. Some of the Trump supporters who breached the Capitol could even be heard chanting, “Hang Mike Pence!” Trump himself was highly critical of his own vice president at the time.

Yet now, just like Haley, Pence has tried to position himself as a friend of Trump's, saying the two parted ways “amicably” and “have talked a number of times since we both left office.”

“You can’t spend almost five years in a political foxhole with somebody without developing a strong relationship,” he said.

Well, Nikki Haley is someone Shooter could back for president.
She's got government experience cause she was a governor.
She's got international relations experience cause she was an ambassador.
    She's well spoken.
    She's intelligent.
    And, she's conservative.
So yeah, shooter could support Haley for president.
You know, as long as Candace Owens refuses to accept the nomination.

Shooter thinks its time for a woman to have a seat on the throne.
Can't do much worse that the men have done.

The most hopeful thing for Democrats in 2022, because let's face it the Democrats face fierce odds of being able to hang onto the House and Senate, is that we are not running against Republicans anymore. Ask any Democrat. Republicans were always way better at getting organized, enthused, and getting out the vote. Democrats have always been like trying to heard of cats.

But there is no Republican party anymore. All that's left are treasonous conservative/Republican Trump cult followers. While the reality is Trump is and always has been literally and clinically mentally ill. Which is why the Republican party is being run by mentally ill conspiracy theorists.

The reality is though that while what used to be the Republican party grovel and worship at Trump's feet they are also paralyzed. They can't get organized because they are always waiting for Trump's next insane command. And the clock is really ticking now but they don't even know which way to turn.

That's a big advantage for us Democrats.

And another one is Trump endorsed candidates were not vetted prior to his endorsement. But you can bet your ass they are getting vetted now. And they are more like reading police reports.

'Dooms him to the trash bin of history': Heartland newspaper bashes Trump's attempted coup in scathing editorial

    Tom Boggioni
    October 09, 2021

    Fox News screencap

Reflecting on new reports that Donald Trump was going to extraordinary lengths to undermine the 2020 presidential election results, the editorial board of the highly influential St. Louis Post-Dispatch slammed both the former president and his die-hard supporters.

With the editor's setting the stage by reporting, "The report makes clear that a handful of top administration officials heroically averted this attempted coup by threatening mass resignations if Trump carried out his scheme," they suggested, "As more and more of these details emerge, Republicans who continue to support Trump's false and toxic claims of electoral victory should think hard about how history will view him — and them."

According to the editorial, "The interim report by the Senate Judiciary Committee shows how Trump's Jan. 6 incitement of a mob of his supporters to attack the Capitol was only his most publicly visible attempt to overturn an election he clearly lost. In the days prior, Trump was maneuvering behind the scenes, trying to weaponize his Justice Department to validate his already-disproven claims of election fraud."

They then drew a parallel to Watergate which eventually brought down the presidency of fellow Republican Richard Nixon, saying Trump's attempt to subvert democracy is miles worse and that he and his enablers should forever live in infamy.

"No rational American today would defend Nixon's actions — and he was merely trying to get away with covering up an illegal wiretap, an objectively less damnable offense than trying to overturn a valid national election,"
they charged. "With every new revelation, Trump's attempted coup against democracy further dooms him to the trash bin of history. Those who still don't understand that might well find themselves joining him there."

You can read the whole piece here.

Trump warns GOP his supporters 'will not be voting' unless they make 'Election Fraud of 2020' their top priority

    Brad Reed
    October 13, 2021

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday put out yet another statement complaining about his loss in the 2020 presidential election -- and his time he issued a threat against the Republican Party.

"If we don't solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in '22 or '24," Trump said. "It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do."

Earlier on Wednesday, Trump threw a fit over a judge in Georgia ruling against his supporters' attempts to audit absentee ballots in the state.

"Here we go again," Trump complained. "After a long wait, a judge in Georgia refuses to let us look at the ballots, which I have little doubt are terrible. This whole situation is a disgrace to our Country."

Shortly after this, Trump proclaimed that the 2020 election should "have been overturned many months ago."

Now Trump is upping the ante by seemingly threatening Republicans that he will tell his supporters to stay home unless they made the 2020 race their top priority.

    Read the statement below.
