I have not attended a football game or even watched one on television in its entirety since high school. My sense of things is that those who pay tickets to watch professional games tend to be on the right politically. If they begin to boycott the games the owners might fire players who show disrespect for the American flag. I hope that happens.

At any rate, blacks in the United States have no legitimate complaints to make against whites. They are better off in the United States than in any black run country in the world. Whites would be better off if they left. They would be lost if all the whites left. Nowhere in the world is there evidence that blacks can run a thriving civilization on their own.

Trump Faces Ethics Complaint After Call for Firing Protesting Players

 

What a frivolous complaint! But it's the same old usual bullshit that I've come to always expect from liberals. Did Trump say that team owners should fire the sons of bitches because they're Democrats? Nope. Team owners should fire the sons of bitches because they're sons of bitches.

 

This is actually quite redundant. I have already said employers can fire employees for protesting on company time. In fact courts have ruled employers can fire employees for things as minor as wearing a campaign button. And no one is disputing the owners right to fire players if they want to for protesting at the start of a game. But what you seem to be deliberately ignoring is even when it was just Colin Kaepernick was the only player protesting the National Football League already said they would not stop such protests. Almost all team owners have also spoken out in support for their players rights to protest because after it is one of our constitutional rights. Absolutely fundamental.

But while both athletes and Trump have constitutional rights the President does not have the right to try and influence a private entity's employment decisions for his own partisan political gain like Trump did in calling for players to be fired and the NFL to be boycotted. In fact that is actually against the law.

18 U.S. Code § 227 - Wrongfully influencing a private entity’s employment decisions by a Member of Congress or an officer or employee of the legislative or executive branch

(a) Whoever, being a covered government person, with the intent to influence, solely on the basis of partisan political affiliation, an employment decision or employment practice of any private entity—

takes or withholds, or offers or threatens to take or withhold, an official act, or
(2)
influences, or offers or threatens to influence, the official act of another,
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than 15 years, or both, and may be disqualified from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.
(b) In this section, the term “covered government person” means—
(1)
a Senator or Representative in, or a Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress;
(2)
an employee of either House of Congress; or
(3)
the President, Vice President, an employee of the United States Postal Service or the Postal Regulatory Commission, or any other executive branch employee (as such term is defined under section 2105 of title 5, United States Code).

That actually sounds more like babbling than facts to me. And I make no sense of it at all.

What are the actual facts is our flag and our national anthem are simply abstract symbols. They only symbolize the tangible things like our constitution and First Amendment right to protest. And even Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia understood that.

So police should be able to continue to kill usually unarmed blacks and other minorities with impunity just as long as its not too many of them and no one should be allowed to protest that? Is that what you are saying?

Because you might think that's Ok but a lot of black people, other minorities and myself really disagree and think that should be opposed and protested.

We really do not believe that the police should be allowed to be judge jury and executioner. And I think we have a very valid point.

It is actually accomplishing a very great deal and thanks to Trump he has vaulted the issues of police brutality, racial injustice, racism, and the constitutional right to protest to the national stage like never before. He has done what in just a few days what BLM and Colin Kaepernick could not accomplish in a couple years of protesting.

Trump's racist and insane attacks has the vast majority of the country talking about these issues and the vast majority of the country thinks Trump is completely wrong and trying to tear the nation apart.

And the obvious reality is if no one opposes and protests police brutality. racial injustice, and racism its damn sure nothing is going to change. It has always taken protest to bring change to our nation and it is one of our longest traditions going clear back the the very beginning of our founding.

I think this is simply a clear example of cultural blindness. The NFL, NFL teams, and individual NFL players contributing to and being involved with their own communities is way too fucking long of a list to try and post here. I don't see how you can even ask this. They are involved in countless youth programs, food programs, education programs, aid and relief programs. And in fact as just one example the NFL and NFL players have just raised millions of dollars for Hurricane relief.

I think it tells a great deal about your personal perspective that you are not aware of just how many ways NFL players give back to their communities and try to address the problems they are facing.

And certainly any corporation has the right to drop anyone for any reason or no reason at all. I have never disputed that once. That is there right just as it is the players right to protest if they want to.

But this also kind of reminds me of something Trump said today when he pointed out not all NFL players joined the protest yesterday.

Which is true. Except before he shot off his hateful, insane racist mouth there were only a handful of NFL players protesting. And yesterday there were hundreds of them including whole fucking teams.
