With poverty spreading in the westnern world we are moving from a nanny state right past welfare stae to a Police state in mos ciities. There are bound to be repurcussions. First the extreme lone gunmen come crawling out of the woodwork. Then the organized crime rises to the surface bolder than the Prohibition 30s. Then the peasants revolt in larger numbers. I haven't heard anymore reports of law enforcement officers being shot in the past few days but I wonder how many of you might have seen the video of the shootout in the Detroit Police Station.

We don't see that a lot in this country although it does happen. But this is a rather dramatic attack on the police in what appears to be a suicide by police attack.

Several years ago we had some real problems with the police on a nearby Native American Reservation. And not the least of which was the BIA staffed the police stations with policemen from other tribes and other reservations thinking any local police could not be counted to enforce the laws when it came to their family members or friends.

The problem with that is some of those tribes had been enemies for a few thousand years and the police officers who had both the authority and the man power and weapons became increasingly abusive.

Then one night a car with four or five guys pulled up to the police station and just started shooting. They didn't really hit any of the officers but they laid down such heavy gunfire they had them helplessly pinned down in their own station for several minutes.

All of them ended up going to prison but it was such a clear message that the people out there had had enough that they really did go through the entire reservation law enforcement apparatus and make some pretty drastic changes that I think have worked so far.

We never got into love ins and Peace marches out here. But we did have a local police department that would introduce you to the "Welcoming committee" if they arrested you and that was especially true if you had long hair or had ever stood up to them.

But the opposition began to grow and so one night they called out the volunteer fire department. They started out using water hoses but it turned into one huge brawl. Then they tried a volunteer police department.

Well two successful lawsuits later they had three problems. One was they couldn't call the fire department for backup, they had no volunteer police anymore to back them up, and consequently when a bar fight started and someone called them they could not even get out of their cars.

And I mean literally. The police showed up and so many people hated them it would rain beer bottles and glasses and rocks and bricks on them. They'd get the whole department down there eventually and still could not get out of their cars.

Now that was a law enforcement problem since most people didn't even know what they had been called for and someone could be getting killed in the bar and no one even gave a shit about that.

 

PS I should ad ...........

.......... that the old town cop I grew up around was over 60, had a bum foot and hardly ever carried his gun because it hurt his hip.

But he could talk people who had already pulled a gun on him into putting the gun down, and getting in the front seat of the car with him, and taking a 50 mile ride to jail with no handcuffs.

His experience had taught him you could talk a long time with amount of breath it takes to fight a man.

I've met one singular cop in my lifetime that I would even classify as a fellow human. That isn't to say that all of them are worthless, just the vast majority. Every day i hear dozens more stories of how they abuse their powerand experience it firsthand pretty often.
As a matter of fact, I've witnessed cops do shit that I could kill another civilian for and not only be acquitted but congratulated. People are getting sick of seeing many of the most dangerous fucks society has produced given the power to do whatever they want. Seriously, ever hear of a cop getting arrested for misconduct? You're among the minority.
When you put the criminals in power and say here's a gun go fuck up anyone you, personally, don't approve of; the innocent people get hurt. When you treat the innocent as criminals, they begin to behave as such.
Cops do some terrible shit. Google police brutality. The former innocents have apparently taken a leaf from Napoleon's book. In order to defeat an enemy known for committing atrocities, one must basically prove, as humans have to all other species on earth, that they are meaner, crazier, and willing to sacrifice their souls for supremacy.
Maybe one day we'll have good cops all over. Until then, those that deserve death will continue to receive it.

 

Pretty harsh, but from my own personal experience I would have to agree. All of us ought to be worried about people who have a complete personality change once they have someone rendered helpless and their abusiveness comes out.

That is not a good human.

I have an acquaintance who is a ten-year veteran officer with a small township police department. (For those of you who do not live in small-town America, a township is a government body encompassing a town center and outlying rural and residential areas.) Two years ago, he was involved in a fire-fight with a young man who had abducted his girlfriend after murdering her parents.

The officer in question was not injured in the incident, although two of his fellow officers were. The suspect was killed. Investigation of the incident and civilian eyewitness statements revealed that no officer discharged his weapon until the suspect had fired over a dozen rounds at them and innocent bystanders, and even then, several warning shots were fired by the officers which were clearly NOT intended to hit the suspect. The fatal shot was fired as the suspect charged one officer who had already taken two rounds into his bulletproof vest and one each in his thigh and arm.

These officers' reluctance to fire on the suspect could, conceivably, have contributed to the injuries they suffered. None of these men had ever discharged their weapons at a human prior to this incident. The officers were shooting in self-defense at a man who had already murdered two people in their sleep and who was firing at them with two unregistered, stolen weapons, while endangering the lives of other citizens.

To me, that is not police brutality.

A further bit of information. The gunman had been in and out of juvenile correction facilities several times during his youth, and was out on bail after having been charged with assault with a deadly weapon (another stolen gun) during a home invasion and robbery. His identity was known to the officers that night, as all of them had arrested this man at times in prior years.

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to run around loose.

And, by the way, the gunman was a WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant).

Not surprising, statistically speaking, most of the really sick fucks are.

And while that particular incident is not an example of police brutality, I urge you to do some research. There are some very disturbing state laws designed to protect the...how shall I put it...less than ethical? no...ah I know: pathological officers out there.

Ohio has some of the worst I believe...

St. Petersburg Florida went decades without a police shooting and has no had three officers killed in the past month.

The last officer shot this last week was killed by a 16 year-old kid.
