I can't get enough of you

 

New male bestie only sees new female bestie as a sister. She's the one who has a thing for him, though. My broken heart is due to feeling totally unwanted and unappreciated by him. He doesn't know how much I'm hurting because he already has a lot on his plate at the moment, what with baby mama drama and all, and I refuse to add to it by being all dramatic and shit. It's best I just keep to my bed for a while and shut everything out.

Tell him that you will give him some space until there I less drama, but also let him know that if he needs to vent that you are there for him. I have always tried to be a good listener for my real life and internet friends.

 

We had a heart-to-heart over the weekend and while nothing was actually solved, now that we know where the other is coming from, it makes thing easier to deal with. I told him that communication in any relationship (romantic or otherwise) is mandatory. Otherwise assumptions arise, which leads to drama and hurt feelings. I said that I'm a big girl and will deal with whatever he has on his mind...just don't hold shit in anymore. I take his distancing very personally, whether or not it directly has somefin to do with me. If something is bothering him, he should feel comfortable enough to fill me in so I know how to handle the situation on my end. This weekend was very therapeutic for our relationship. I'm sad that it's over...I'm so afraid that being away this week will end up taking things back to where it was before we had our talk. (He works very early in the morning at his main job and works late into the evening with his side jobs, so me staying the night during the week is a bit rough on him.) Especially considering he is going to pick up his kids for a few weeks (or for good, if they tell him that they want to live with him full time). I love his kids, don't get me wrong, but I'm sure you parents out there know that once kids enter the picture, one's social life tends to disappear. I don't want what him and I have to fizzle out, but at the same time, I know living with him is what's best for those girls (the mother is no good, even the girls see that..they love her because she's their mom, but they're pretty much raising themselves at this point). Anyhoo...I'll end this novel of a response because I don't wish to get myself upset again. I've already taken to the bed once more...I don't want the weepies to start up again.

 

I was trying on a friend's shirt yesterday. And before anyone makes the comment, yes, you do see the nip nips. After working in the heat with my newest male bestie (actual yard work, nothing dirty...pervs lol ;-D) I needed to shower again and throw my underthings into my female friend's wash. We were going to meet up with the male bestie later that evening at the casino and I wanted to look good for him.

 

I'm glad that you had your heart to heart and that it was therapeutic. I wish that my sister in law and I lived closer. She is the one person in this world that I can tell anything and everything to without the fear of being judged. From the sound of it you have met his kids and they are accepting of you. Even though you are not biologically their mother maybe you can be more helpful then their real mother is. I'm not sure how old they are but there is always issues that only women understand.

 

You look sexy in your friends top. I am all to familiar with a lot of yard work. The other day I spent 4 hours in the hot sun doing yard work and I still did not finish it all.

Yeah I've met the kids and they like me. They're incredibly well-behaved and have an amazing sense of humor. The oldest (who is 11 I think...not sure) has a very dry sense of humor. The last time the kids were visiting, we were over by the river after supper one night. It was fairly muddy and I kept sliding around a bit. I said "I hope I don't fall" and without missing a beat, with a dead-pan look on her face, the oldest one quietly said, "If you do, I'll laugh." I looked at their dad and said "I like this kid" lol. The youngest (who is 7 or 8...not sure on that one either) is a little spitfire. She's just like her daddy. It's amazing that those two are so well behaved considering the way their mother is. I was very impressed and immediately fell in love with them because of that. They are great kids. I hope to spend time with them when he picks them up this weekend.

**Please note, I still don't want children of my own. Being a mother is not in the cards for me. However, I love spending time with children who are well-behaved and will let my maternal instincts kick in when left in charge for even so much as a few minutes.**

Well, folks, this is the last week of my 20s. Next Monday I will officially be an adult (notice I said "officially", not "legally"...two different meanings there; just thought I'd throw that out there before some smartass chimed in with "You're an official adult at age 18 blah blah blah" lol). I'm not at all looking forward to saying that I'm 30 (or anything older than that), but I know I can't stop the clock. Luckily for me, I've always looked younger than I really am, so it's not too terribly bad. What really gets me down, though, is that I thought I'd be so much further in life than I am right now. That's what I get for making plans, eh? Lol. Anyhoo, I'm hoping that the next 10 years don't go by so quickly and are filled with more good times than bad. Keep your fingers crossed, my friends!

 

So many of my younger friends made such a big deal about turning 30. They thought that 30 meant that they were so old. Just wait until you turn 40.
