Just when I think that I'm finally getting out of my funk, something happens to shove me right back down into the pit of despair. My newest male bestie came by earlier long enough to tell me that he is being sent away for another 2-week training mission (this time as a teacher), starting either late tonight or early tomorrow morning. I wasn't even given a goodbye love-making session...just a few hugs and a few pecks. I managed to hold back the tears until he walked down the stairs of my building, but once my apartment door closed, it was like Niagara Falls on my face. I don't even want to be awake right now...I want to just sleep through reality for a while until something good finally happens. *sigh*

All I do is post random shit about my craptastic life. Most of my posts involve me complaining about something lol. I'd say that y'all's support of me far exceeds what I've given out.

I'm not nearly as much of an emotional mess as yesterday, but I'm still incredibly sad and lonely.

 

your sad that your guy friend is going away for 2 week or something but hes in the military right you shouldn't be sad if your relationship was ment to be he will miss u as much as u miss him and u should be proud of him for serving our country he doesent want u to be all butt hurt that he has to go for a while its not permanent nor is life just my 2cents

 

I am perfectly aware of all of that, but that doesn't make the hurt go away any less. I can't just not be sad that I didn't get to have one last night before he left. He knew about his departure an entire day before he told me about it (and he was leaving the day after that). How do you think that makes ME feel? Rotten, that's how.

On a happier note, I'm FINALLY down a pant size. Only took nearly 8 freaking months lol.

I never said it WAS all about me. All I'm saying is that if I meant as much to him as everyone seems to think I do, then he should have told me a lot sooner than he did. I was the very last person he told about it, and that hurts.

 

Can you Skype or facetime with him? A female friend of mine has a bf in the military. She does a lot of Facetime with him and he is gone for months at a time. Allso congrats on losing the pants size.

 

He doesn't have either program, nor does he have the time to use them. He barely has time to sleep while away at training. I"m lucky to get more than an occasional "Goodnight" text from him lol.

 

I'm in much better spirits today. Finally seeing the results of my weight-loss journey has had me on cloud 9 all day. And wearing my new tank top has helped a smidge. It's such a happy color!

 

It's good to see the smile back on your face. Yellow does look like a happy color for you.

 

Now I know why some parents will paint their kids' rooms yellow instead of a gender-specific color. It keeps kids happier lol.
