We progressive/liberal/Democrats are very hopeful that Trump will hit the campaign trail and start holding rallies again. But I sincerely doubt that is going to happen. His first public rally since he's been out of office turned into a viral laughingstock. And every interview he's given is worse than the last one and he shows he is more and more detached from reality. I think Trump is slipping too fast both mentally and physically to actually hold any rallies. And if he does they will be a windfall for progressive/liberal./Democrats.

Trump rallies will provide ‘a sense of comfort’ for his supporters: Conservative describes it as a ‘balm’

Donald Trump's upcoming rallies will serve as a "balm" for his supporters who are disappointed he decisively lost the 2020 presidential election and was subsequently banned by social media for inciting violence by pushing his "Big Lie" about election fraud.

"Donald Trump has scheduled the first stop on his long-promised revenge tour against Republicans who spurned him during his quest to overturn the 2020 election outcome and subsequent impeachment," CNN reported Tuesday. "According to a person familiar with the planning, the former President will host his first campaign-style rally in Cleveland on June 26 to support Max Miller, a former Trump administration official and campaign aide who is challenging incumbent GOP Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. The rally marks Trump's first public appearance on behalf of an insurgent Republican candidate -- something party leaders have been dreading from the moment Trump vowed to target GOP incumbents who either voted to impeach him or rejected his false claims of a stolen election."

Matt Schlapp, the head of the American Conservative Union which hosts the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), was interviewed on Newsmax about Trump's tour.

"His travel is coinciding with these different congressional races," Schlapp noted, mentioning there is "buzz" Trump may try to be Speaker of the House of Representatives if the GOP wins in the midterms.

"These rallies are going to be a real balm for — a real sense of comfort for 75 million Americans who feel canceled, who feel he's been canceled," he explained.

"So I feel like these rallies are going to have a tremendous injection of positive energy into our politics," he said, even though Trump rallies culminated in the January 6th insurrection.

Trump rails against Mike Pence in new interview: 'You would have a different president right now'

Former President Donald Trump on Monday said that he is still "disappointed" with former Vice President Mike Pence for certifying President Joe Biden's win in the 2020 election.

During an interview on Real America's Voice, host David Brody pointed out that Trump's followers are "never going to forgive" Pence.

"What's your take on Mike Pence and what's the relationship like?" Brody asked the former president.

"Well, I've always liked Mike and I'm very disappointed that he didn't send it back to the legislatures when you have more votes than you have voters in some cases, and when you have the kind of things that were known then," Trump said.

"I was disappointed that he didn't send it back," he continued. "I felt that he had the right to send it back. He should have sent it back. That's my opinion."

Trump added: "I think you may have found that you would have had a different president right now had he sent them back."

I can't believe the favor Trump did for us progressive/liberal/Democrats here. Mike Pence was the biggest threat we faced and could be for years. But now Trump has politically assassinated him.

Trump's 'months-long tantrum' about Mike Pence is crippling the former veep's political future: MSNBC analyst

    Tom Boggioni
    June 22, 2021

With an eye on making a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, former vice president Mike Pence made a high-profile speech last week at the Faith & Freedom conference in South Carolina along with other GOP presidential hopefuls.

Unfortunately for Pence, his speech drew more attention after he was booed and called a "traitor" by supporters of ex-president Donald Trump who are reportedly still furious that Pence did not intercede and stop the certification of President Joe Biden's election win in 2020.

According to MSNBC political analyst Steve Benen, Pence has a rocky road ahead of him, not only because of the right-wing fury over the post-election proceedings that led to the Capitol insurrection but also because of Trump's recent comments about Pence that are keeping the anger alive.

In a recent interview, Trump attacked Pence, telling conservative host David Brody that he is still "disappointed" with Pence.

"I've always liked Mike and I'm very disappointed that he didn't send it back to the legislatures when you have more votes than you have voters in some cases, and when you have the kind of things that were known then," Trump explained before adding, "I think you may have found that you would have had a different president right now had he sent them back."

As Benen notes, Trump's unhappiness with Pence will likely continue to cast a cloud over the former vice president's political aspirations.

Noting that Trump is wrong about what Pence could have done during the certification process, Benen claimed the ex-president is continuing to poison the well for his former running mate.

"Tis isn't just a story about Trump being confused about governmental details he ought to understand. The greater significance is that this months-long tantrum from the former president is likely to carry consequences for Pence for the indefinite future," the MSNBC analyst wrote. "The right-wing outrage toward Pence was rooted in ridiculous lies -- ones that literally put the former vice president in harm's way on Jan. 6 -- but Trump appears determined to keep as many people confused as possible, for as long as possible."

Benen went on to point out that Trump -- still obsessing over his re-election failure -- will continue to spread the blame with Pence as a target.

"As Pence eyes another national candidacy in 2024, this mind-numbing drama is unlikely to end anytime soon," he predicted.

I think democrats are finally waking up to what a Biden presidency means....and they dont like it

Biden's approval rating plummets in Iowa: poll

Vice President Harris faced similar numbers

President Biden's approval rating among voters in the state of Iowa has plummeted in recent months.

More Iowans disapprove of the job Biden is doing than approve – Biden has a 43% approval rating and 52% disapproval rating, according to a recent Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa poll. Five percent of people polled said they are not sure whether they approve or disapprove.

Vice President Harris faced similar numbers. Fifty percent expressed disapproval of Harris' job performance compared to 42% who approved.

This was actually funny to watch. Trump is just a straight up racist. And he constantly depended on the Ivory Tower princeling Kushner to solve all problems even though he had no clue and can only see things through his very privileged and protected rich conservative/Republican white privilege.

Trump seethed at Jared Kushner after his plan to win over Black voters flopped: 'They all hate me!'

Jared Kushner and Donald Trump (Photo: White House)

Last summer, as protests against the murder of George Floyd erupted around the country, former President Donald Trump was seething that Black voters didn't support him even though he'd followed son-in-law Jared Kushner's advice in an attempt to win them over.

In a new excerpt published in Politico of a forthcoming book by veteran Wall Street Journal reporter Mike Bender, it's revealed that Trump was angry that he went along with Kushner's plan to sign criminal justice reform legislation, particularly since he built his brand in 2016 as being the candidate of "law and order."

Even worse, in Trump's eyes, was the fact that Black voters were not going to reward him for signing the First Step Act in 2018.

"I've done all this stuff for the Blacks -- it's always Jared telling me to do this," Trump said, according to the book. "And they all f*cking hate me, and none of them are going to vote for me."

Bender's book -- titled "Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost" -- goes on sale starting August 10th.

Yeah, trump is clearly a racist.
Look at how he conspired to hold minorities down, why they've never had such a robust job market or seen such gains in their income, but never the less, trump clearly is a racist.

Wendy Davis, others sue law enforcement and Trump supporters over 'Trump Train' harassing Biden bus in Texas

    Kate Mcgee, The Texas Tribue
    June 24, 2021

Former state Sen. Wendy Davis and others who were traveling on a campaign bus for President Joe Biden last fall when it was surrounded and followed by former President Donald Trump's supporters on a Texas highway have filed multiple lawsuits over the events that transpired that day. The suits target people who were allegedly following and harassing the bus, as well as local law enforcement for not helping after assistance was requested, according to those on the bus.

The lawsuit filed in federal court Thursday against at least seven members of the so-called "Trump Train," who followed the bus, claims the group violated the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 and Texas law by organizing a "politically-motivated conspiracy to disrupt the campaign and intimidate its supporters."

The Klan Act prevents groups from joining together to obstruct free and fair federal elections by intimidating and injuring voters, or denying them the ability to engage in political speech.

The second lawsuit was filed against law enforcement who "turned a blind eye to the attack — despite pleas for help — and failed to provide the bus a police escort," according to Protect Democracy, the group of lawyers representing the plaintiffs. The second lawsuit was filed against Chase Stapp, the head of San Marcos' director of public safety, and the San Marcos City Marshal's Department.

The lawsuit against the Trump supporters claims the defendants violated that law when they followed the bus, yelling death threats and streaming their activities on social media and "bragging about their aggressive driving."

The plaintiffs in both suits include Davis, David Gins, a then-campaign staffer who now serves as deputy director for operations for Vice President Kamala Harris, Eric Cervini, another campaign volunteer, and the bus driver, Timothy Holloway. The lawsuit also states that the plaintiffs continue to suffer psychological and emotional injury from the event. The bus driver, Holloway, has been unable to drive a bus following the experience.

"Not knowing whether the police would show up to help us was terrifying," said Holloway in a press conference Thursday afternoon.

They are asking for compensatory, and punitive damages and for legal fees to be covered in both lawsuits.

"What Defendants cannot do under the law is use force, intimidation, or threats against those with whom they disagree politically. Yet that is precisely what Defendants did by conspiring to use their vehicles as weapons to interfere with the constitutional rights of those who supported the Biden-Harris Campaign," the lawsuit reads. "The Constitution's guarantee of free speech, association, and assembly is empty if those rights cannot be freely exercised. And where groups are permitted to terrorize those with whom they disagree into forgoing their constitutional rights, the functioning of our democracy demands accountability."

The individuals named in the lawsuit could not immediately be reached for comment. The city of San Marcos declined to comment due to pending litigation.

The confrontation, captured on video in late October, made national news in the days leading up to the 2020 presidential election. It featured at least one minor collision and led to Texas Democrats canceling three scheduled campaign events in Central Texas, citing "safety concerns." The plaintiffs argue the forced cancellation due to these intimidation tactics also infringed on their First Amendment rights. The FBI continues to investigate the incident, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation.

A group of Trump supporters, who documented their progress on social media, had followed the group throughout the Texas campaign. On Oct. 30, a social media user using the hashtag #TrumpTrainTexas posted on Twitter, "Trolling is FUN." The user called for other Trump supporters to "escort the Biden [bus] coming through San Antonio."

Once they left San Antonio, dozens of trucks with Trump and American flags surrounded the bus, shouting and honking at it, and tried to slow it down. The campaign canceled an event in San Marcos and continued on to an event in Austin. But plaintiffs said they struggled to get police to respond as they continued north on Interstate 35.

Many of the defendants who are named in the filing were linked by their social media posts of the incident in which their license plate numbers are visible. According to the filing, the defendants include Steve and Randi Ceh, who were apparent leaders of the Trump Train in New Braunfels, and their daughter, Hannah. The filing states that Hannah posted several videos that showed her license plate number. Eliazar Cisneros, who appeared to participate in the Alamo City Trump Train, also posted videos with his license plate visible, the filing states. The filing also said according to social media posts, Steve and Randi Ceh were also pictured at the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

In an interview with the Tribune in January after the insurrection, Davis said she saw a direct link between the two events. She also she didn't think law enforcement had taken the situation on I-35 seriously enough. She said in San Antonio, police responded to a request for assistance, pushing the trucks with Trump flags back. But once they left San Antonio, the caravan once again surrounded the bus. Davis said they called 911 again in San Marcos but they could not get an officer to respond.

"They just kept saying, 'Where are you now? Where are you now,'" Davis said in January. "We kept giving them landmark after landmark, mile marker after mile marker. … Never were we able to get anyone to come out. It was unbelievable."

A San Marcos spokesperson said in October that police received a call from the Biden campaign bus requesting a police escort but due to traffic weren't able to catch up to the bus before it exited the city.

According to the filing, the San Marcos Police Department told the plaintiffs, "they would not respond unless the Biden-Harris Campaign was 'reporting a crime,' explaining: 'we can't help you.'" the filing reads. "Despite being told the bus was driving through San Marcos, and despite the fact that Plaintiffs had already tried calling 911, an officer from the San Marcos City Marshal's Department made similar excuses, saying: 'we don't know if the bus is in our jurisdiction' and 'call 911 if there's a problem.'"

Lisa Prewitt, a former San Marcos council member who was running for a county commissioner seat at the time, also told the Tribune in the days after the skirmish she had flagged the event to local law enforcement 24 hours in advance and mentioned safety concerns. Prewitt said she had called Stapp, and alerted him the bus was 30 minutes away from the event location in San Marcos and was being followed by 50 or more vehicles with Trump flags.

"I let [Stapp] know what was going on and [asked] if we were going to be receiving San Marcos [Police Department] backup, and I was reassured once again that would happen," she said in October. "We never did see any law enforcement from the county nor the city show up to assist the Biden bus."

Last year, Stapp denied that Prewitt specifically requested a police escort or mentioned the ""Trump Train" was causing issues, but did not respond to follow up questions at the time.

"With the exception of the two phone calls to me from Ms. Prewitt, at no time did anyone from the campaign request assistance from the San Marcos Police Department in advance of the event so that the request could be evaluated and prepared for," Stapp said in a statement to the Tribune last year.

The incident garnered praise from Republican lawmakers at the time. Trump tweeted a video of the Trump supporters following the Biden bus saying, "I LOVE TEXAS!" and claimed inaccurately that the supporters were "protecting" the bus.

I can't post the video because Trump used kids as props. But it is hilarious to watch Trump flop in front of an already small crowd that started walking out on him. Very hopeful for us progressive/liberal/Democrats because treasonous conservative/Republicans have put all their eggs in the Trump basket case.

Trump's Ohio rage rally speech was a flop with some of his fans -- and MSNBC has the video to prove it

    Tom Boggioni
    June 29, 2021

In a closing segment on Monday night, MSNBC host Brian Williams put to rest any thought that Donald Trump's coming-out rally in Ohio -- also known as the start of his "revenge tour" -- was anything near to a rousing success.

Sharing coverage from the New York Times that the former president's speech "fell flat" with attendees, Williams quoted the Times, reading: " Mr. Trump's speech — low-key, digressive and nearly 90 minutes long — fell flat at times with an otherwise adoring audience. Scores of people left early as he bounced from topic to topic — immigration, Israel, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's protective mask. 'Do you miss me?' Mr. Trump asked in one of his biggest applause lines. 'They miss me,' he declared," the MSNBC host then pointed out if you didn't believe what NYT reported, there was video.

"You may say 'sure, what do you expect from the radical leftwing mainstream media?'" the host explained. "And you'd be right except there is video."

After sharing a long clip of Trump fans leaving the Ohio fairgrounds with Trump's voice droning on the background, Williams added, "You can still hear his voice in the background there as the president relitigated his loss in Arizona. As you saw, people's thoughts turned to 'where did we park?'"

Democrats Get Some Really Bad News as Normal Americans Wake Up
    By Bonchie | Jun 28, 2021 4:01 PM ET

Are Joe Biden and the Democrats in trouble heading into the next election? While it’s early, new data seems to suggest they are losing ground in ways that could lead to a red wave.

Alternate headline – The Honeymoon Is Over.

In addition to the Harvard/Harris poll reported on by Jeff Charles earlier today, there’s this from Axios.

Zoom out: The Democratic messaging group Future Majority in May released a deck identifying areas where Republicans hold an advantage:

    • Of the issues polled, “defunding the police,” “open borders” and “reparations for slavery” were by far the biggest turnoffs for both independents and voters in general.
    • Republicans bested Democrats on jobs and the economy, gun rights, and “keeping you and your family safe.”
    • The poll, Future Majority wrote in its report on the findings, “shows voters, especially Independents, believe Democrats overspend.”
Yeah, I’m thinking Future Majority may want to look into a name change. Their polling from swing districts is bad news all the way around. As an aside, now we know exactly why Jen Psaki was gaslighting everyone today by claiming it’s Republicans who want to defund the police.

Meanwhile, on issues like illegal immigration and reparations (among other “social justice” crusades), there is no coming back for Democrats. They’ve gone all-in and there’s no stuffing the genie back in the bottle. If they crack down on illegal border crossings, they’ll lose their left flank. If they continue the status quo, they lose the suburban center that previously killed Republicans in 2018. Further, the pushing of racial essentialism and critical race theory is turning off a lot of people who see it as divisive pseudo-science.

Republicans are also most trusted on bread and butter issues like the economy and crime, which are things that more often than not decide elections. Again, I don’t see how the Democrats rebound on that front either. You don’t just turn around the massive violent crime spikes we are seeing in a year, and we all know how they feel about the Second Amendment. You certainly don’t snap your fingers and fix an economy that you’ve thoroughly knee-capped, causing inflation that is hitting the middle class hard. Besides, Biden and safe Democrats are not going to shift to the center to save a bunch of moderate Democrats in the house.

It’s really early, but this is data that is bad enough that it can’t be ignored, especially when it’s coming from Democrat sources. Nancy Pelosi has to know she and her party are in trouble, but because her coalition is so scattered and fragile, it’s going to be nearly impossible for her to change course, and that’s assuming that’s even possible at this point.

Of course, Republicans could screw all this up, whether it’s by folding to Democrats on policy or focusing on issues that don’t move the needle such as making everything about the 2020 election. If the GOP is going to win in 2022, they have to remain laser-focused on the issues that win elections. The time to worry about investigations and other issues like that is after retaking power because if they don’t, they won’t be able to move on any of that stuff anyway.

Trump warned that his rallies are only making his legal problems worse

    Tom Boggioni

Appearing on MSNBC with host Lindsey Reiser, conservative campaign strategist Susan Del Percio watched a clip of Donald Trump from Saturday night talking about the indictments filed against his company, and explained to the host that almost every time the ex-president speaks he incriminates himself further.

During his rant on Saturday night in Sarasota, Trump all but admitted that he is avoiding paying taxes -- a central part of the Manhattan DA's investigation of the Trump Organization -- and Del Percio smirked that the ex-president can't seem to keep his mouth shut as further criminal indictments loom.

"Time will continue to wear away at Donald Trump," Del Persio explained. "These legal problems may also force him to eventually have to stop these rallies because the more he opens up his mouth, the more incriminating -- the more often he incriminates himself."

She then elaborated, "For example, last night, it's about fringe benefits. Did you notice he didn't say 'oh, there are charges against my company are false'? He just didn't like what he was being charged with -- so we'll see."
