No. Love of country and supporting the current Oval Office occupant are completely different issues. Now, if you were an Antifa member (a group that has absolutely NOTHING to do with being anti-fascist), or even a supporter of their actions, like their supposedly planned "wars on America" next month, I'd be inclined to believe you were unpatriotic/unAmerican.

 

I didn’t support Obama and I consider myself to be American and patriotic. I don’t think supporting a person makes you American.

A person can be patriotic and support anyone they desire. As long as they respect out country.
You do not have to agree with the president. It doesn't matter who you voted for.
If you care about our country and the people who have worked to keep it the country we love you are patriotic.
Even if you are a dumb fuck and Hillary lover you can still be patriotic. Just not any intelligent one.

 

I love my country, but that does not obligate me to ignore things which violate the supposed spirit upon which the nation was based. Don't expect me to stand, hand over heart and say, "...one nation, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all," and then stand silently when someone's freedom is infringed, or does not receive justice.

Fortunately for me, I have great advantages in our current system. It would be difficult for someone to infringe on my freedom, or force me to suffer an injustice. I don't have to worry about someone trying to purge me from a voter role or the possibility I might get shot by a nervous policeman who feared for his life. In fact, policemen are extra courteous to me. I'm not sure why, but I suspect it's because there could be consequences for being rude. There's way for him to tell who I might know. Fucking with me, just because he has a small amount of power at the moment, is just not worth the risk.

I have no patience for people who think standing for the National Anthem at a football game means you respect the flag. It means nothing of the sort. All you've done is stood up when everyone else did.

It takes real balls to stand up, or sometimes kneel, when you don't have a crowd to support you. That's true bravery and freedom in the land of the free and the home and the brave. That's true love of country, being willing to stand out and be ostracized when your country is wrong.

No. Misguided, uninformed, irresponsible, disrespectful, willfully ignorant, bigoted and occasionally hateful, yes.
But deplorable? Certainly not.

 

So babygirl, are you paying attention to how much we Trump supporters are attacking the non-supporters?

 

Only the ones who lean to the left! I fucking hate leftists! All of 'em! They never get off their talking points and are completely incapable of actual discussion! Plus, if you look at leftist groups like ANTIFA and BLM, its proven that they are unamerican and unpatriotic.

The ones who are in the center or in the right who don't like Trump are either bushie/mccain conservatives pushing their idea of "principals" (ie: Bill Kristol, David French, Charles Krauthammer) and feel the need to suck up to the liberals. They're not unamerican or unpatriotic. They're just silly.

Libertarians that don't like Trump are the best. You can actually talk to them about policy while smoking a joint.

 

You assume much when you say police respect you for who you might know.
Shooter can tell you few cops would give one fart who you are, or who you know, when they have reason to contact you.
You see, cops first and last are not lackeys for anyone.

And standing for the flag?
Yes.
To show respect for the flag and all that it stands for.
Doesn't mean Shooter doesn't have issues about America.
We have fools like the dog who wear their racism like a proud banner, and pretty it up with "scientific facts" that in the end is just another justification to be a racist.
Another reason to hate and divide us.
We have robbers in Congress.
A government that doesn't take care of our business.
And lies to us when the truth would serve better.

But, Shooter still loves his country and doesn't want to ever harm her.
Shooter wants to make it better.

Those who disrespect the flag to make a political statement need to expect blow back from patriots.
The football players are, every one of them, part of the 1%.
They have a unique platform to effect change.
They have the smarts, the contacts, the resources and the time to effect real change.
And they, more than anyone else, understand that sitting on one's ass will not ever change a fucking thing.
So one can only ask "Why are they doing this?"
Shooter thinks the answer is two fold;

First, cause its easy. Easier than actually doing something. All it does is let them say "I am offended".
And second, for the publicity.
And that takes no courage at all.

Shooter would respect them if they got up off their knees and actually did something.
