This could go on and on,, Age of Consent is set by the state she lives in.. Don't count on anyone, even her, giving consent if she is under that age. Legally she can't give consent.. Her parents can sign for her to get married during set minor age.
In the case of a minor who wanted to do a playboy centerfold some years back it did work.. In this case the parents and a lawyer went to the Judge and ask that her Minority be taken away.. This was granted. But it turns out that she and her parents had lied even then about her true age.
But then there is the case of Tracy Lords and all the trouble she caused the porn industry..She was 15, something about that age 15, I have her movies but would not think of posting anything from them..

what you get by with or charged with has more to do with who is proesocuting the case, than the true law..

 

Ok as far as, Does it make a difference if the adult is male/female? my answer is no. Sex with a minor, is sex with a minor.

If the minor passes them selves off as a adult, then no charges should come from it.

If the adults knows they are a minor, and does it anyway, then yes...no matter if the minor initiates the sex act, they should know better.

Now if the minor is passing them selves off as adults, and later changes their mind...that sucks for the adult.

Purely, from a legal standpoint, this also involves everything non-related to sex, persons under the age of 18 cannot consent to anything, in a legal matter. A 17 year old, if they do consent to you, it is not legally binding, and since they are not 18, what they say or do can not be used in any legal way.

 

I do think the age of consent in the U.S. should be lower. 15 or 16 would be an appropriate age I think. I believe that a lot of the problems we have with teen sex, sex predators, and other issues stems from the fact that sex is such a taboo in this country. You can watch people kill each other on TV but heaven forbid you see breasts or a penis. If sex wasn't such a taboo, if we were more open about it as a society I truely believe we would have a lot less sex crimes. There will always be sexual predators but if sex were no longer a taboo there would be less.

 

Laws are different in each state. For example, 16 is legal sex age in Mississippi.

we are going to need more details about that, i dont know of any place in the US at least where 19 is illegal, unless it was not consentual.
