As some may or may not know, I am The Author of the Vengeance series as well as various other stories. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to make the series more of a story, instead of fuck episode upon fuck episode (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I have already begun to add some non-sexual scenes with the characters by themselves and together, exploring the characters more. Adding some filler, but trying to make it meaningful, filler with a purpose. Also some transitions between stories.

Any other suggestions would be nice. Or if you just want to comment on the series in general, that's cool too.

Are they posted under Alexander instead of The Author? That's the only Vengeance series I found. Let me know. I'll give a few of them a read if that's the right series.

I actually have the opposite problem. I'm working on a series called Ancient Adventures. It has become a story involving sex instead of a story ABOUT sex. Perhaps you'd like to give it a read. Maybe it'll give you some ideas. I found that taking the time to set up back story limited the adult content until about the 3rd or 4th chapter.

However, having a good story to back up my sexual situations has provided me with a small but VERY devoted following on here. Perhaps you'll be able to find that happy medium that satisfies those looking for porn as well as those looking for a good plot.

And might I also suggest looking at Kimi's (Kimiko's) stories...there's a REASON she's a favorite on here. The Teenager's Revenge series gives a pretty good balance of both plot and good sex. I've read a few of the other stories but Teen's Revenge is a great plot/sex combo.

Personally, I believe that one really GOOD sex scene, with an appropriate, extended build-up, is the equivalent of lots of quick-and-dirty fucks.

 

there is the concept used in literature....know as a plot. lol. perhaps start with one of those, but like most porn dont make it too complicated or drawn out or people (mostly us males) will fast forward (or in the case of stories) speedread, get to the porn and then use pause and repeat.

Maybe have a complex story, with something like the dvd equivalent of "cumshot recap" at the end...lol

 

After Reading...

I've only read through Ch 1and 2....I do have a life offline.

While they were interesting reads I did feel like they were "quick, dirty, fuck" scenes. You're so far along in the series I don't see HOW you're going to manage to start adding plot and character detail without losing your fanbase. There seem to be two types of readers on here. The ones who like those stories that just get right to it....and the ones who want a good story too. I think you'll lose a lot of your readers if you start trying to develop a storyline now. Perhaps you could begin a new series and try to apply it there.

If you're hell bent on adding "depth" to this series perhaps you could begin writing "flashbacks". As I said, I only read ch. 1& 2 so I don't know if you've already applied that effect. But this would allow you to add back story to what situations drove the narrator to get his vengeance (as you are fairly vague about that). And as a means of providing the "erotic" twist that fans so crave you could include daydreams of what he wants to do to them as they crush his spirit and treat him like crap.

Just a thought...As you can see from my posts I tend to be long-winded so it's not in my nature to just jump into the sex scenes (although some chapters of my series do jump right in). I intentionally set out to write a story that was, in fact, a story. Even so, I find myself avoiding in depth descriptions of the environments in an effort to limit the superfulous detail.

I started with main characters that were young (eight and 3) and simply had them witness sexual events (in a fairly vague manner...lost a lot of readers with the boring first chapter). Then I aged them and began to involve them in sexual situations. This gave me time to develop the characters and give them a back story that made my readers care what happened to them.

A little clarification

My reasons for adding more depth are mainly my own, to make it a bit more of a readable story than porn in words.

If you've the time and patience to get that far, the characters do start to develop and I've taken to exploring them a bit more in the most recent stories.

I've basically been taking every chapter and putting them all in one word doc, the reading through, adding bits and clarifying, more for myself than anything else.

 

I would like to see what you do in the future. So I'll keep watching for you.
