No one life is any more important than the next when it comes to tragedy but I wanted to post this article about a love story gone terribly wrong in the latest attack.

She moved to Europe to be with her fiancé. Saturday night in London, she died in his arms

    Twitter
Christine Archibald of British Columbia was a Canadian victim of the attack on London Bridge, her family has confirmed.

A Canadian woman who was one of the victims in a horrific killing spree in London on Saturday night is being remembered as a loving daughter and sister who believed everyone deserved respect.

Christine (Chrissy) Archibald, 30, of Castlegar B.C., southeast of Kelowna, was with her fiancé in London when she was attacked by three terrorists who initially used a van to mow down pedestrians on London Bridge.

Archibald was one of the victims struck by the van, and the first victim of the ambush to be identified. The couple had reportedly just left a restaurant and were walking on London Bridge, with Archibald a bit behind her fiancé, Tyler Ferguson, when he heard tires screech and looked back as the attack unfolded.

The three terrorists got out of the vehicle, went down a set of stairs and stabbed people in several restaurants in Borough Market. The three men were later shot dead by London police.

According to family friends Eileen and Patrick Audet, Archibald worked in a shelter for the homeless in Calgary, where she lived before moving to Holland to be with Ferguson, a Canadian accountant.

Archibald died in his arms after the attack, according to a CBC report.

In a Facebook post Sunday, Ferguson's brother Mark decried the violence and mourned the loss of the woman who would have been his sister-in-law.

"I can't even believe this is real! My brother and his fiancé were on London Bridge last night. She was one of the victims struck by the van. They tried everything but weren't able to save her. His life, and all those close to her have been changed forever," he said.

Adding that his heart goes out to Archibald's family, Mark wrote: "These senseless acts of terror" must stop.

Ferguson's sister Cassie posted on Facebook: "Hearing his painful sobs on the phone while he's alone trying to deal with this tears me apart. I have no words."

Archibald's parents issued a statement through the government in Ottawa: "She had room in her heart for everyone and believed strongly that every person was to be valued and respected ... She would have had no understanding of the callous cruelty that caused her death. Please honor her by making your community a better place. Volunteer your time and labor or donate to a homeless shelter. Tell them Chrissy sent you."

A neighbour said the family is well respected in the community, and Archibald's parents, retired teachers, are active in their local Catholic church, where the father, Greg, plays guitar.

Archibald attended the church with her two sisters and parents when she was younger. The three daughters at one time were all involved in Highland dancing, the neighbour recalled.

Archibald was a graduate of Mount Royal University in Calgary, where she received a diploma in social work in 2015.

"Our deepest condolences go to her family and loved ones, as well as to members of our community who are grieving her loss," the university said Sunday.

Kathy Christiansen, executive director at Alpha House, the shelter in Calgary where Archibald was a social worker for five years before leaving for Europe in February, issued a statement Sunday night saying: "Chrissy was a bright light to many, and her generosity, kind spirit and huge heart for her work in responding to issues of addictions and homelessness at the centre inspired us all."

Borrowing a line from the family's statement of remembrance, a hash tag was created on Twitter Sunday called #tellthemChrissysentyou to urge donations to homeless shelters in her memory.

"We grieve with the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and wish all those injured a speedy and full recovery," Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said, "We believe we are experiencing a new trend in the threat we face" as "terrorism breeds terrorism" and attackers copy one another. She said five credible plots have been disrupted since March.

"It is time to say, enough is enough," she said.

Forty-eight people, including two police officers, were treated at hospitals. Twenty-one remained in critical condition Sunday. Among the wounded were German, French, Spanish and Australian citizens, officials said.

Although none of the assailants in Saturday's attack were identified, counterterrorism police conducted a raid Sunday in Barking, in East London, in connection with the assault and arrested 12, seven women and five men between the ages of 19 and 60. Searches there continued, police said, suggesting that they had identified at least one assailant.

Daesh, also known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was carried out by "a detachment of Islamic State fighters."

But analysts said the terrorist group considers anyone whose actions were inspired by the group to essentially be a member.

"This is how ISIS decentralizes its terrorism," said Laith Alkhouri, a director at Flashpoint, a business risk intelligence company in New York that tracks militant and cyber threats. "As of now, there's no indication that ISIS orchestrated or directed these attacks."

On Sunday, May's Conservative Party and the opposition Labour Party announced they were suspending campaigning for parliamentary elections — less than a full day in the case of Labour — out of respect for the victims. However, the right-wing, populist, U.K. Independence Party continued with scheduled campaign events.

May said the election would go ahead Thursday as planned.

The prime minister led an emergency meeting of her security cabinet on Sunday. In a statement afterward, she said the government would intensify its counterterrorism efforts to deal with Islamist radicalism at home and to try to restrict "the safe spaces it needs to breed," both on the Internet and in British communities.

May has been pressing for a tougher line against Islamist extremism for some time. By stating that police and security measures were insufficient, she was announcing a new effort, if re-elected, to break down what she considers to be essentially self-segregated communities and to be less delicate of their sensitivities.

Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn criticized the prime minister.

"You cannot protect the public on the cheap," Corbyn said in a speech. "The police and security services must get the resources they need, not 20,000 police cuts. Theresa May was warned by the Police Federation, but she accused them of 'crying wolf.' "

And there are lots more terrorist attacks happening in the US but they are never called terrorist attacks and no one wants to talk about them. Just like the two men killed and another one injured in Portland Oregon when they tried to interrupt the anti-Muslim rant of a White Supremacist against two young girls on a train one of which happened to be Muslim. No one is calling that a t3errorist attack and the anti-Muslim Trump supporters here sure don't want to talk about it. But if the tables were turned and the attacker was Muslim TERRORIST ATTACK would be screaming across every TV screen and there would be a half dozen threads about it on the GD front page.

Our deepest sympathy to all of those affected by yet another act of aggression from those that wish to instill fear into the masses and one way to fight back is to rise up and go about your lives while being diligent and aware of your environment and show them that you will not be broken . Leave the rest to those that are tasked with wiping these cowards off of the map and it may be no comfort however when an attack occurs it sets off a chain reaction here that causes movement and when they stick their heads out of their hole we are there to ventilate the heads of those smug bastards that think they have won as they take credit for senseless slaughter around the globe .
For every civilian life they take we return the favor by taking 10 of theirs !

Who the fuck needs terrorists when you have to worry about the average person on the street in the USA ???

Here are a couple more horrific tragedy's in the last day or so ...

Pennsylvania mother kills children, sets home ablaze
STRASBURG, Pa. — Authorities say autopsies have confirmed that a Pennsylvania mother shot her two young children and then herself before the bodies were found in their burning home.

Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, the Lancaster County coroner, ruled the deaths of 40-year-old Carola Arnau and her two children a murder-suicide after autopsies Wednesday morning.

He says Arnau shot her 10-year-old daughter multiple times in the head and her 4-year-old son multiple times in the body.

Emergency responders called to the Strasburg home at about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday found the bodies in their beds in a bedroom. The family dog was also found dead. Officials said the fire was deliberately set.

District Attorney Craig Stedman told reporters Tuesday that the “only small comfort” was that the children appeared to have been shot in their sleep.

Child's remains found in Illinois garage; death possibly linked to sex trafficker
ST. LOUIS — Police in Illinois believe the remains of a child found in the garage of a vacant home had been there four years and are investigating the death as a homicide.

Police found the remains after a woman in Las Vegas contacted police Monday night and told officers her husband had killed their then-6-year-old daughter in Illinois years earlier and hid the body in the garage of a home in Centreville, near St. Louis. She also said he had forced her into sex trafficking over the past two years and had abused two other children.

Las Vegas police shared the tip with Centreville police, who found the small decomposed body wrapped in two blankets inside the detached garage of a dilapidated and vacant home in the impoverished town of about 6,000 residents.

Authorities suspect the child was killed in nearby Belleville in 2013, and police there have taken over the investigation. Belleville police said in a statement that a team of officers was sent to Las Vegas to co-ordinate the investigation. They did not respond to additional requests for comment.

The woman’s husband, Jason Quate, 34, is jailed in Las Vegas on charges of sex trafficking and living off the earnings of a prostitute. No charges have been filed yet in the girl’s death. An autopsy is expected to take place later this week, St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said.

The girl’s mother contacted police from a woman’s shelter, where she said she had gone to seek refuge from her husband. She said Quate killed the child during a “physical altercation,” Las Vegas police Lt. Raymond Spencer said in a video statement.

Spencer said officers were told the woman’s remaining children, who are in their early teens, were never allowed outside, even to attend school. He described them as pale and lacking socialization skills, and said officers observed signs of abuse. Both children were taken into protective custody.

“It was very disturbing when you saw the children,” Spencer said.

It wasn’t clear whether Quate or his family had any connection to the home in Centreville. Neighbors told the Belleville News-Democrat that the small house with boarded-up windows has been vacant for more than two years.

Property records show the home was last sold for $25,500 in 2005. The man listed as its owner, Marcus Acoff, declined comment when reached by The Associated Press, saying he did not want to interfere in the investigation.

    Yeah.

    Dead children. Sucks.

I wonder how many children die everyday in the terrorists' home countries.

    And are tortured/mutilated.

    And enslaved.

    And raped.

Whatever the point is of the dead kids, I've missed it.

Former Muslim Hardliner Speaks the Truth That Liberals Won’t
    Posted On 06 Jun 2017

In remarks which will no doubt be shot down by the PC Police, Maajid Nawaz, a former extremist with the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir, said on his London radio program this weekend that British Muslims needed to wake up to the realities of their own religious beliefs. When a caller asked if Islam really had anything to do with terrorist atrocities like the one seen on London Bridge Saturday night, Nawaz gave an answer that would have probably been called racist and Islamophobic if it came out of the mouth of a white Christian host.

“When the prophet Mohammed said: ‘I have been ordered to fight the people until they declare there is no god but God and Muhammad is his messenger’, that’s clearly got something to do with violence doesn’t it?” Nawaz asked.

The caller, unwilling to commit, said he would have to see the context of the verse before making any determination as to the meaning.

Nawaz conceded the point. “Ok, so let’s agree that context is important,” he said. “Interpretation is important, but let’s not pretend it’s got nothing to do with violence because making the argument that we need context acknowledges that we’re having a discussion about violence and placing violence in its context within Islam. That’s different to saying violence has got nothing to do with Islam.

“Why this is so important,” he continued, “is because when listeners hear Muslims like yourself say it’s got nothing to do with it, they think that you’re trying to shirk responsibility and sidestep the very important task that faces all of us to challenge extremism within our mosques and our communities. […] It sounds like you’re making excuses so as to not go about doing the work that all of us have to do, which is to challenge extremism.”

Yes, it does. But it’s actually worse than that. It sounds like Muslims place higher importance on protecting the good name of their religion than on ridding Islam of the very forces that are turning it into a vehicle for terror. And that’s the mindset that has to stop if they are to start attracting any goodwill from skeptical Americans who are ready to shut the doors to anyone with a beard or a veil.

You can call it racism and Islamophobia all day long, but you don’t see anyone calling for a Hindu ban. You don’t see anyone calling for a Sikh ban. You don’t see anyone saying we’ve got to stop Buddhists from infiltrating the culture. This is specific to Islam, and there’s a REASON it’s specific to Islam. Ignoring reality is only going to make things worse.

The point is that it takes a special kind of person to kill not only children but their own children and these people are more monster than human being with no regard for life whatsoever and they rise far above what the average killer is. By definition that puts them into the company of terrorists and not just killers.
It pains me to take the life of a child but until you have seen a 12 year old wearing a suicide vest where it necessitates us having to make a very difficult decision , I do it for the good of others and not for self satisfaction so therein lies the difference between what I am tasked to do and what they do willingly with no consideration that these children did anything wrong other than simply being born into a monsters life. People that willingly kill children are terrorists plain and simple and they walk the streets among you . Are you getting the point yet or do you just not want to see it ?

This moonbat may not agree with the current CIC however that does not prevent me from carrying out me duties in defending your right to be an asshole in calling me down . Have you ever served and done what you are told or are you one of those people that just needs to berate those that are not in agreement with their political beliefs ?
I will close by once again offering our best wishes to the victims families .

That is what they always do. Attempt to preach. To show us that the victims of Moslem barbarity are no better than the barbarians themselves.

We have incontrovertible evidence that Moslems are medieval savages who at best sympathsize with the goals of Islamist terrorists (if perhaps they cringe at the terrorists' methods), and at worst are terrorists themselves.

And faced with that evidence, the western apologists for this savagery trot out domestic gun violence statistics and dead children in an attempt to establish moral equivalence.

If someone is wearing a suicide vest, then I'd be thinking it's them or me. Definitely not murder, but self defense. Glad to hear that you're ok after the servicemen were killed this weekend. My condolences to our servicemen and women.

You and Undeniable appear to be ripping Shooter undeservedly.

(And maybe even me. I can't tell.)

Shooter isn't mocking dead children, and neither am I. We are pointing out that examples of domestic gun violence and domestic deaths of children are being brought up by the left to establish moral equivalence. That is, that we have no right to criticize Moslem terrorists and Islam from whence they come, because we and our society are equally corrupt.

You guys seem to be off on something else. Not sure what. Of course we get your point that servicemen are dying and that killing children in service of one's country is shitty but necessary work.

Yes, sure, agreed. And the murders of servicemen by the Taliban this weekend suck bigtime.

But that isn't what Shooter is talking about, and it's certainly nothing to do with the point I was making.
