I agree. Starting up a "whiny Lifetime special" thread about feeling good and playing fair is exactly the way your friends and compadres would handle it.

It wouldn't take a day to read their stories. It's all the same amount of padding and fanciful renderings that other writers share. Except telling how soft or bright or wonderful something is in a thousand words is much more impressive than bluntly stating it in a few sentences.

Pulitzer Prizes are being handed out left and right.

When are you lot going to realise that this sort of behaviour happens the world over...Anyone who posts a story where it can be read, and voted on, by his peers. But they then start bitching and whining because they have recieved some negative responses, then they deserve to be called naive and stupid..

If someone does not like a story that you have wrote, they have every right to express their feelings. Whether by leaving a comment or by voting negative, this is their right. Just the same as it was you exericising your right to write and post the story..

If you writers cannot accept the negative reaction from other people, it maybe better for you not to post your story at all...

In fact; if you do some research, you will find that there were German concentration/death camps in Bad Ischl and Ebensee. A lot of the people who were worked to death in these camps were Austrian...
