Really depends on situation. 50 here next week. Wife, older, health issues, unable at best of times. Have begun looking outside for some form of satisfaction. There is action out there. Seems to be plenty of older folk always looking for something.

I think sex has always been great. I think you appreciate sex more when you don’t get to have it as often. Doesn’t mean I still wouldn’t like to have it often. I did hope to be having lots of sex in my 40s. I love sex in my 40s! Just as much as I loved it in my 20s. Lol

 

I think @MarieJames hit the nail on the head about having the right partner. My 40's are long gone and my sex drive is as high as it always was. Being in the 'mature' age group, my mind has opened exponentially leading to being more open sexually. I try to keep myself in decent shape physically and my pertinent organ works well! Unfortunately for me, I don't have the partner I need to explore all the pleasures that good sex can deliver. This forum is a much-needed outlet for me. A discreet FWB is not out of the question.

 

As I got older I became aware of more options and feelings.
Yes, sex is better after 40 but changes in your own self makes the difference.
