Basically it doesn't allow for innocent characters.

Things happen all the time that surprise us so if you don't like these stupid limits where no one has any sexual experience or knowledge prior to turning eighteen and writing stories based on that crap is more than you can be bothered with then protest away.

I read lots of historical romances and there are any number of girls in these well under 18 who get pregnant so it's not as if this is pedophile country or uncharted waters; its being written about now.

 

The one problem is the assumption that the person who can change things wants to or even knows people don't like the rule.

It's possible that the rule was strongly urged by legal counsel and implemented by management under orders.

 

I was a moderator then, but I know about as much as you do. We were told nothing other than it was the owner's decision. He pays the bills, so he calls the shots. An explanation would be nice, but don't hold your breath waiting for one.

I can understand the aversion to "Molestation stories" Stories like "plane crash", "Aftermath", et al. weren't about that. They were about situations. mostly I think I might have wandered into I'm just going to write as much horrible perverted shit as I want into Plane Crash.... but aftermath was kinda sweet. And although I didn't specifically age the character in aftermath, (you had to do some fundamental math to work out her age.) But I had to have an innocent character to make the whole thing believable... That was what a CAW 6 entry?

And that's just scratching the surface. With that said, there are sites that allow such stories and they are fairly easy to find. However, I try to keep my sexually aware characters over 18 anyhow.

Though I wouldn't really count that, or incest for that matter, as neither happens.

WSF, There is no assumption; we know the individual concerned wants the status quo to remain at present. What I am saying is that this can change, for one thing even if he goes to his grave embracing the R18 ruling who ever takes over can decide.

There is no reason to give up hope.

 

Age is just a number when all your characters are forest creatures.

 

Unless the owner is in ill health I suspect the site will die before him.
