  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

I thought that the administrator wasn't the one making the rules and that she just take orders from the owner of the site.

But the moderators are not "Gods" they aren't perfect, as everyone else they can misunderstand things/make mistakes.

I wish I would of had read your story to have a little more understanding of the issue. While I was reading the posts on this thread, I couldn't understand why will a story of an 18 year old sexually unsophisticated person wouldn't be acceptable here, but then I read this post of yours and it became more clear. You say that you thought that you gave more than enough context cues to make it clear she was old enough for sex, like what? Did she just graduated college? Was she in medical school? Umm? Have you ever heard of child prodigies?

You didn't specified the character's age, and the character was sexually naive, so I guess you left it open for interpretation, perhaps that's the real issue here?

But this site is also available in countries where the age of concent is 18, perhaps the owner wants to make sure that his site doesn't violate any laws.

Really? Well, you've certainly solved that mystery for me, because I was under the impression that they (me included in there, since I was referencing me as part of those CAW victories) WERE GODS. Golly gee, thanks, gosh I don't know how to thank you enough for your brilliant insight into all of this.

By the way, are you first cousin to the administrator, or second cousin?

We were informed that there is no way an 18 year old character, physically fully developed, out of high school, would have not questions regarding sexuality. The scenario was not realistic in the case of a fictional character in a fictional short story. Therefore, the author was obviously writing about an underage fictional character. It was argued that there are instances in this country were religion comes into play, along with the lack of formal sex education.. It was argued that in some eastern cultures, 18 year olds definitely would not have sexual knowledge.

We just want all writers to be perfectly clear on this. Forty year old virgins, ex nuns and priests, etc, will probably be scenarios that are not considered realistic in your works of fiction. The story in question was reviewed, approved, and allowed to be published by the moderators who were working on that side of the site at that time. Moderators used to be in place there for the purpose of removing underage stories.

Please be careful when writing fiction.

So what happens with Embracing Autism Gleefully? Glee is an 18 year old virgin. His "Holy Smokes, Batman" comment drives home the fact that he's not had experience with much in the sexual realm. Does that story violate policy? Will it get pulled? I'm getting ready to post it under my name this morning. Will I get a temporary ban for doing so? Will it void the win and instead have it go to the second place finisher? Should I stop constructing the next CAW?

So many unanswered questions, oh my!

And by the way, on a second note, how is it possible that on a writing forum we do NOT have the ability to create superscript? :banghead:

You mentioned that it was read by moderators and written BY a moderator as if that fact would make everything ok, as if they were exempt of making a mistake. I was just pointing out that they can be wrong at times, I'm sorry if the way that I said it didn't sound right.

    You're welcome. :rolleyes::)

Oh! I'm sorry, since you mentioned that it was read by at least 3 moderators and you currently aren't one it didn't occur to me that you was including yourself among those 3, thanks for clarifying that, it certainly changes things. . . not.

The owner of the site makes the rules, we are on his "house" if he likes things a certain way, that's the way it should go, if we don't like it/don't agree with it, we can just leave, is that simple.

I can't answer you that. . . anonymity, remember?

Obviously we can be wrong. This thread proves it.

I'm tempted to limit my future writings here to stories about Viagra, arthritis, gray pubes, menopause, and wrinkled cleavage. At this point, that seems safest.

Of course, no characters would have dementia. People in nursing homes wear diapers, and some cuddle dolls. We can't have that.

Hey! I don't take Viagra young lady!

Yes, you guys can be wrong, the removing of the story proves it.

Don't get discourage, try to look at all this in a positive way, keep writing, challenge yourself. :)

Maybe you can add the age of the character next time (I read the whole thread, first it's being imply that the character in the story in question was 18 or older, but then you confessed that you failed to mention the girls age) No wonder people reacted the way they had. . .

If I were to write a story, I would first ask the administrator about the rules, because some comments on this thread to me sound sarcastic, so I don't know what to believe.

A moderator didn't remove the story. It was pulled by the forum administrator.

Yes, I did fail to mention the character's age, relying on context cues, since I don't like to give a list of statistics for my characters. The issue was realism. It's apparently not believable that an eighteen year old girl wouldn't know a lot about sex.

Some of the comments on this thread are very sarcastic.

We're waiting for a clarification on the rules.

...you know, maybe I'm just about as sharp as a bowling ball but I still don't entirely understand. This could not possibly be a ban on virginity stories, and yet everyone seems to keep suggesting that it's just that. Perhaps it's merely an inscrutable whim.

No, that doesn't prove that. It proves that the Administrator of the site can pull any story she wants, regardless of the opinions of the other staff. Staff that actually have writing experience.

The reason I'm giving you a hard time is that you're the only one here who seems to approve of what the Administrator did, so it makes it look very much like either you are her, using a sock account, or that you are friends with her, and she's giving you direction, since she's not commented directly herself.

That sounds quite condescending, but perhaps you didn't mean it that way.

Being that English isn't your first language (my assumption is that Portuguese is your first language), you are probably not fluent in English sarcasm. Many of the comments here are laden with sarcasm. Why? It's the frustration boiling over. You are perhaps not aware of the various age-related fiascos surrounding this whole issue, which date back well over a year. If you were aware, you'd come to understand some of the frustration and perhaps see a different point of view. You're dealing with a very experienced writer here in Wantsomefun. He's not some punk kid who can't put together a paragraph without it being littered with mistakes. He's one of the best writers on this site. You don't get a million plus reads on a story unless you've written something well, because negative votes will cause your story to sink too far down to get further reads. Beyond that, that story was entered in and won a CAW. WON. That means it was scrutinized by a) other Moderators, b) other experienced writers (I myself have been professionally published a couple of hundred times), and c) readers, some of whom are quite intelligent and provide outstanding reviews. If all of these readers, the million plus, the site Moderators, the experienced writers, did not find that the story violated site policy, what do you think the chances are that the Administrator is simply wrong?

The Administrator is an ex-porn star. Do you really think that an ex-porn star is the best person to determine whether or not an 18 year old COULD be sexually naive? I don't think so. I think it is a stretch, at best, and having had first hand experience with the Administrator and some of the decisions that she made, of which I will NOT go into in a public forum, I can categorically state that the answer to that question is NO. When you have ALL of the site Mods stating that the story is fine as-is and then you go and pull the story anyway, it quite clearly shows that you do not value the opinions of these EXPERIENCED writers.

You are missing the point. Adding in the age would do nothing. It's not a question of stated age in the story. It's a question of whether or not an 18 year old can be sexually naive. The Administrator's position is that she cannot be naive. Not that every 18 year old is naive. That not a single 18 year old on the planet can be naive, because if just one could be naive, then the story would be acceptable, because that's what we're dealing with here...plausibility. That's why I feel that she, especially, isn't the right person to decide this issue. You don't get to be a porn star by being sexually naive, so, her background and most likely teenage years (this is pure speculation on my part) might make it impossible for her to understand how an 18 year old might have questions about her body, about sex, etc.

It's comments like the one above that really, really make it seem like you are being prompted by the Administrator because they are so wrong, in so many ways.

    1. The administrator doesn't have time to respond to dozens and dozens of PMs each day. That's why rules are posted. Or, in this site's case, that's why rules are NOT posted. They are here, not over in Sex Stories. Regardless, as an author, you're not looking for more censorship, you're looking for less, especially since you're not getting paid for your work but are doing it because you like to write.

    2. It's not the job of the administrator to moderate stories...that's why the site has MODERATORS. It's their job. But when their authority is so blatantly disregarded, it makes it very difficult to even bother.

You've rarely ever made posts in this section of the forum. I find it odd that you'd chime in on this one particular issue. Perhaps it is coincidence, but I'm not sure that I'm that naive.

This is as clear as mud. It sounds like the site would reject a story such as "The 40 Year Old Virgin" because the main character was too naive.

It seems with each clarification of the rules makes things worse, and it now seems that the administrator can pull any story for any reason.

Sorry for the delay in posting Horse my hands are still sore from thr clapping.
Superb post.It really is like being in London in 1944 for the writers with the Doodle bugs coming over and no idea if the next one had your number on it.

You guys might like to have a look (for comparative purposes only)at a recent story by mrcomfy entitled Seduced by my friends wife and daughter.

Britney (yes the daughter) is 16 and gives our lucky protagonist a blow job.

I thought it was water tight over there on ages but possibly not.

Writing experience is not the only thing that matters, understanding of the rules is also important.

You're not giving me a hard time, you don't agree with what I said, and that's ok. I don't have to agree with everyone because I am my own person, I have my own opinions and I'm not afraid of expressing them, even if they differ from everyone else's.

I certainly didn't meant it that way, on the contrary, I was hoping I could help lift his spirits at least a little.

I may not be good at delivering sarcasm in English, but I know when people are being sarcastic (I'm not saying that you're being sarcastic on this reply).

I'm not arguing wantsomefun's ability to write a great story. A story can be well written, people can love it, but it may also be breaking the rules of the site.

They had this discussion behind close doors, so how do I know that what they're saying here is accurate? On this thread the mods were implying that the character in question was 18 years old or older, till then I was wondering why would a story of an 18 years old or older sexually naive person wouldn't be acceptable here, I was more sympathetic with the comments made here (despite the sarcasm), but then the author confessed that he actually failed to mentioned how old was the character in the story, this is why I think that the only and real issue here is failing to mention how old a sexually inexperienced person is.

Even the mods that had participated on this thread so far were sarcastic about the issue, so how do you expect me to believe them? The obvious thing will be to ask her directly just to be sure.

Well, so far I haven't had a problem with getting a response the times that I had contacted her. So I guess that if I were to write a story and I ask her about the rules, I would get a response.

I get the frustration, but haven't the mods mentioned time and time again that the administrator isn't the one making the rules, and that she just take orders from the site owner?

You aren't getting paid to write and you do it because you like to write, well I'm sorry but you aren't paying to use the site either. I had seen some members mention that they had found other sites were they can post their stories, I guess others can do the same.

As I said before about the owner of the site: His "house" his rules, we have to follow them or we just go to another "house" OR you can build your own.

You're right, I rarely post here, I think that this is the third or fourth time that I commented on a thread in this section of the forum. One of the threads that I commented on was a story that was removed perhaps because the author wanted it remove. I even remember your post after mine were you mentioned that you basically agreed with everything I said.... See sometimes we agree, sometimes we disagree, but we can always agree to disagree.
