That sure is the way it looks to me. Unlike the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans I actually watch Trump. In fact I watch Trump as closely as I would watch a rattlesnake. I often even mute the sound so I can concentrate on how his face looks and his body language. And he has been looking worse and worse when he does his traits outside the courthouse. Of course he's still just babbling incoherently like a happy little brook and spouting lies. But he's not only low energy his usual hand gestures are out of sync.

Mary Trump: My uncle is 'dissolving before our eyes' and he'd be ruined by a night in jail

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 15: Former U.S. President Donald Trump appears ahead of the start of jury selection at Manhattan Criminal Court on April 15, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jeenah Moon-Pool/Getty Images)

Filmmaker and entrepreneur Andy Ostroy began his latest "The Back Room" podcast by mocking Donald Trump's rants in the Manhattan court hallways during the break in his criminal trial.

During his podcast, Ostroy predicted that "I think this man is going to totally lose his f--king mind by the end of this trial" on the grounds that Trump still has "four to six weeks left that he has to sit through it in court and basically be told, 'Shut up and sit down!'"

Co-producer Matty Rosenberg cut in to point out, "The elephant in the room is that he falls asleep and farts all the time."

But it was Dr. Mary Trump, a psychologist and the ex-president's niece, who stepped in to dispel some assumptions about the former presisdent and his risk of jail due to gag order violations.

Prosecutors have 14 examples of Trump's violations of the gag order, which demands he not attack witnesses or members of the jury.

The assumption has been that Trump wants to be thrown in jail for violating the gag order because he'll be able to raise more money for his campaign off of it.

As Manhattan District Attorney prosecutor Chris Conroy explained last week, "We are not yet seeking an incarceratory penalty" on the grounds that "the defendant seems to be angling for that."

Read Also: The agony of the gasbag

Reacting to this last statement, Dr. Trump said she has a hard time wrapping her head around anyone being afraid "of this pathetic, weak, person who can't even keep his eyes own at his own criminal trial."

She called it "demoralizing" to watch the Manhattan District Attorney's office stand before Justice Juan Merchan and claim they were not asking for jail time because "we know that's what Donald Trump is angling for."

"Who cares what he's angling for!?" she exclaimed. "And by the way, you seriously think — yes he's angling for the martyrdom — you seriously think that guy you know 'Mr Hair Product' and bronzer wants to be in a jail cell overnight without any of his products and without his cell phone? Imagine what he's going to look like in the morning!"

Dr. Trump said that just being in court for three hours a day is leading to her uncle "dissolving before our eyes."

Trump snoozes during bombshell testimony from Stormy Daniels’ ex-lawyer

Donald Trump dozed off in his hush money trial again on Tuesday at a crucial part of the hearing, MSNBC reporters said.

Lawyer Keith Davidson took the stand to talk about his previous representation of adult film star Stormy Daniels and Playboy playmate Karen McDougal — two people central to the case. Davidson was involved in the deal to sell their stories about sexual relationships with Trump to the National Enquirer.

"Karen McDougal — also a client," posted former prosecutor Harry Litman on X. "Represented her in 2016 regarding rights and responsibilities re personal interaction w/ Donald Trump.

    "Trump asleep."

A similar report from MSNBC's Katy Tur cited a "little bit of color," before revealing Trump "doesn’t appear to be awake.”

Tur added, "Trump occasionally looks around and closes his eyes again. It appears he is going in and out of sleep, according to the reporters who are inside the room watching. I'm not clear about whether the jury is seeing him do this. We are waiting on a confirmation of whether the jurors are paying attention to Donald Trump or paying attention to the witness stand."

Trump has fallen asleep in court several times previously, with his lawyers being forced to nudge him awake on at least one occasion.

The latest nap came as Davidson described his relationship with former National Enquirer editor-in-chief Dylan Howard.

As Law360's Stewart Bishop explained, "In a 2016 message exchange, Davidson tells Howard, 'I have a blockbuster Trump story.'"

Howard responded, "I will get you more than anyone for it. You know why."

Trump has denied charges that he arranged payment to Daniels to silence her about a sexual relationship.

Trump ridiculed for having 'complete meltdown' over malfunctioning rally teleprompter

    Matthew Chapman
    May 1, 2024 7:53PM ET

Former President Donald Trump held multiple rallies on Wednesday, as he struggled to make use of the time he had as his criminal trial in Manhattan rages on. But it seemed he couldn't quite catch a break, because at his rally in Freeland, Michigan, his teleprompter was blown towards the crowd by the wind, rendering the former president unable to see it — and causing him to go off the rails and become unintelligible at times.

Trump's inability to hold himself together prompted intense mockery on social media, with many people sharing clips and some observers noting Trump was trying to make a big deal out of President Joe Biden's own use of a teleprompter, including at his previous rally in Wisconsin on the same day.

"Trump’s speech completely derails as his teleprompter malfunctions, causing him to go on an unintelligible rant about the word 'folks,'" said the Biden campaign account Biden-Harris HQ.

ALSO READ: Revealed: What government officials privately shared about Trump not disclosing finances

"Trump had two rallies today," wrote self-identified "political junkie" Peter Heinlein, a conservative veteran. "Rally 1- 'Isn't it nice to have a president who doesn't need a teleprompter?' Rally 2- Stops speech to adjust teleprompter, says his had gone 'gonzo'.... proving he needs a teleprompter. These clips were within hours of each other. He is a joke."

"Trump likes to pretend that he doesn't need a teleprompter," wrote the liberal PAC Meidas Touch. "But when he struggled with his teleprompter today, he had a complete meltdown on stage."

The incident is not a one off. The former president has had a number of speaking difficulties at his rallies in recent months, in addition to strange flubs like his apparent belief at times that he is running against former President Barack Obama rather than Biden, and confusing former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Trump has insisted these missteps were on purpose.

Trump slurs words and struggles to gain crowd enthusiasm in Midwest rallies

Donald Trump took to Michigan and Wisconsin on his day off from court, Wednesday, to rally his supporters and whine about his legal woes. His incoherent speech, along with inflammatory claims on abortion and pro-Palestinian student demonstration, took the spotlight.

Slurring his words at a Waukesha, Wisconsin rally, Trump referred to Biden’s “fake infrastrucker, ershure para,” before settling on “a package of infrastructure.” Minutes later, the 77-year-old launched into a rant about Master Lock, again slipping into incoherence.

The speech was just another instance of his public slips, which have led to speculation on his mental fitness. Tuesday night, he seemed to scramble his words to an indecipherable point while speaking to Fox News about pro-Palestinian campus demonstrations.

In a moment of cognitive function, Trump managed to spew self-aggrandizing historical inaccuracies about the state of the nation when he left office.

“When I left, [the mortgage rate] was 2.7%. We had no inflation. Everything was so good,” Trump said to a crowd in Freeland, Michigan.

Mortgage rates and inflation were at lower points, but most likely due to historic job losses and lack of consumer confidence. In January 2021, when, per Trump, “everything was so good,” unemployment was double its current figure and 95,000 Americans lost their lives to COVID-19.

Trump went on to peddle false election conspiracies, including that he won the election, after dodging questions in a Time interview earlier this week about whether he’d resort to political violence if he lost.

"They said that if I got the 63 million that I got the first time, which we won, that there was no way I could lose. I got millions and millions of more votes than that, and they nipped us,” Trump said. “We're not letting that bulls**t happen again."

The former president, who appointed three Supreme Court justices responsible for Roe v. Wade’s overturn, addressed the deeply unpopular ruling.

“Democrats, Republicans, everybody wanted to get abortion out of the federal government. Everybody wanted that,” he said, before thanking the conservative justices “for the wisdom and the courage” to gut abortion protections.

Trump, who said that “people are absolutely thrilled” with abortion rights being left to the states, falsely accused Democrats of allowing late-term abortions at eight and nine months and “execution after birth.”

To crowds in Wisconsin, Trump applauded the New York Police Department’s crackdown on protests at Columbia University and the City College of New York late Tuesday night, calling the raids “a beautiful thing to watch.”

“New York was under siege last night,” he said of student demonstrators. "To every college president, I say remove the encampments immediately. Vanquish the radicals and take back our campuses for all of the normal students."

The defendant in a New York criminal hush money trial took the soapbox as an opportunity to lambast proceedings in his criminal trial, as well as previous judgments in a defamation case won by E. Jean Carroll.

“Every one of these fake cases is bulls**t, every single one,” Trump told the crowd, who reportedly became hushed as he ranted about his legal woes. Per Trump, “great legal experts,” including Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, believed there was no case.

“I have a crooked judge, he’s a totally conflicted judge. And [the jury] is in about a 95 percent Democrat area,” Trump said of Judge Merchan, taking care not to mention witnesses in the case.

He went on to criticize the $91 million dollar judgment incurred on him for repeatedly defaming Carroll.

“They said I defamed her. Because I said her story isn’t true, I defamed her,” he said. “Hopefully the appeal process works because, if it doesn’t, you just don’t have a country.”

Trump is due back in court Thursday morning for a hearing on further violations of his gag order, after Merchan warned that he may have to turn to jail time.

Why yes, we can see that Trump is falling to the side. His Rallies are largely abandoned, he has nothing to say of import, and biden has the election sewed up, eh?

Trump finds ‘a little fun on the campaign trail’ in Michigan and Wisconsin - POLITICO

Some Trump supporters started lining up at 7 a.m., seven hours before the rally’s start, said Terry Dittrich, chair of the Waukesha County GOP, the largest Republican-leaning county in Wisconsin.

“They don’t believe that this has been anything but a witch hunt,” Dittrich said of charges against Trump.

Dazed and Confused: President Biden Lands in Charlotte, Promptly Gets Lost
    May 02, 2024

    AP Photo/Patrick Semansky

On Thursday, President Biden flew to Charlotte, North Carolina, to meet with the families of the law enforcement officers recently killed in a shootout. That's good; that's the kind of thing a president ought to do, and kudos to whatever anonymous staffer got this on the schedule because it's unlikely in the extreme that the befuddled president thought of this on his own. It's showing leadership, something the Biden administration hasn't been particularly good at, and as the political saying goes, the optics are good

But the optics of the president's arrival in Charlotte? Not so good.

    https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/sta...ands-in-charlotte-promptly-gets-lost-n2173660

The president, at least, managed to make it down the short stairs (I will forgo the obvious "short bus" comparison), and, to be fair, the Secret Service agent mentioned wasn't hovering over him, instead trotting quickly down the stairs some moments after the president's slower, rather halting descent.

    But then this happened:https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/sta...ands-in-charlotte-promptly-gets-lost-n2173660

Look at these optics! The president is clearly confused; he is clinging to Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles' hand like a lost child. He seems to have little idea where he is or what he is supposed to do next.

This is not an elderly man with a poor memory. This is a man whose physical and mental decline can no longer be denied.

Trump accused of being 'too weak' to go out and campaign by former GOP official

Reacting to recent comments from Donald Trump that he may not accept the results of the 2024 presidential election if he loses to President Joe Biden, former RNC chair Michael Steele went on an extensive tirade on Saturday morning accusing the former president of weakness.

Steele, who now co-hosts MSNBC's "The Weekend," jumped on comments the former president made in an interview with Time, where he admitted when it comes to the election results, "... if we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election.”

That led Steele to tell the MSNBC panel, "Here's the problem: you have Donald Trump saying I will accept the results if they are honest. The process is an honest process, the results will be honest. The idea that you think of all the elections that we have had in the history of this country that your election is the least honest and the most corrupt, it just shows the fallacy of what the man is laying out there."

ALSO READ: How Trump could run for president from jail

"Donald Trump is afraid of losing because it strikes at the core of the thing that is most important to him, and that is his ego," he added. "And he doesn't want to do the work to actually win. He wants to goad and cajole and bully people into believing something about our system because he is too weak of a man to actually go out and campaign like any other normal candidate who would go out and campaign."

"That is your truth, Donald Trump," he continued while addressing the camera. "And what you are trying to do is game the system, as he did in 2016 and 2020, to say that, 'If I don't win, the system is corrupt.' No, Donald Trump, if you don't win it's because more people voted against you than for you and our electoral system confirms that."

Biden Blocks Release of Hur Interview Showing He's Senile, Admits He's Doing It for Political Reasons
    May 16, 2024

    AP Photo/Evan Vucci

Joe Biden claimed executive privilege over the recording of his interview with former special counsel Robert Hur on Thursday. The move came after House Republicans subpoenaed the tape as part of its investigation into the issue.

A transcript of the interview was released some months prior, with Hur describing Biden as confused and having memory issues throughout. Initially, the White House lied, claiming that the special counsel brought up the death of the president's son, leaving him flustered. Hur debunked that during congressional testimony, showing that it was Biden who brought it up, getting the year of death wrong in the process.

See if you can spot the problem with the reason the president gave for claiming executive privilege.

    https://twitter.com/seungminkim/sta...mits-hes-doing-for-political-reasons-n2174269

Now, I'm no expert on executive privilege, though I dabble as best I can. Still, I'm pretty sure there's no provision for claiming it solely because a president believes the result will harm him politically. Yet, that's exactly what Biden is admitting to doing. Naturally, the above CNN reporter (and the Associated Press among others who repeated Biden's justification) aren't the least bit bothered by that and are showing zero journalistic curiosity.

Imagine if Donald Trump had claimed executive privilege, and came right out and said he did so because he wanted to deny Democrats a political victory. How would Seung Min Kim, who published she was celebrating "impeachmas" during the former president's term, react?

What is Biden really worried about, though? Given the transcript is already out there, the president must have sounded incredibly senile on the tape of the interview.

    https://twitter.com/beyondreasdoubt...mits-hes-doing-for-political-reasons-n2174269

I'll admit that was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. Biden does not want voters to hear his brain breaking as he's questioned about allegedly committing multiple federal crimes. That is, assuming the transcript we've been given wasn't altered. Perhaps there is something else he's hiding besides being mentally incapable of being president. Recall that the White House originally pressured Hur to alter his report to cover up the senility Biden showed during the interview.

Are Republicans wanting the tape to expose the rot at the core of Joe Biden and his administration? Do they also want to show voters that the president is mentally unqualified in the process? Of course, those are the reasons. So what? That doing so will harm Biden politically is a result of his own decisions, and both are legitimate issues that Americans deserve full disclosure on.

Claiming executive privilege gives the game away on all fronts. He doesn't want his senility to be highlighted by putting a voice to the transcript, and he doesn't want the American people to be reminded that he got away with a crime because he's a member of the right political party. With that said, the Streisand effect is a real thing, and all Biden has done is draw more attention to the tape.

Some forum members have insisted, for years, that the economy does better with despicables in the White house.
We've pointed out how cherry picking numbers doesn't make the claim true, in fact, using cherry picked numbers shows they knew their claim was a lie when they made it.
    Came across this today.
Trump vs. Biden: How the Dow’s Performance Compares (msn.com)
Trump vs. Biden: How the Dow’s Performance Compares
Story by Greg Ip, Rosie Ettenheim
    • 5h

The Dow Jones Industrial Average’s first foray above 40000, though brief, is the latest sign the economy has shrugged off the threat of recession in the midst of retreating inflation and hopes for lower interest rates. It is one bit of welcome news for President Biden, whose approval—and re-election prospects—are being held down by public dissatisfaction with the economy.

On X, Biden called the milestone “great news for Americans’ retirement accounts and another sign of confidence in America’s economy.”

The stock market isn’t the economy, but it is the most prominent, and most frequently updated, benchmark of financial and economic performance. How strong a case, then, does it make for Biden? Superficially, pretty strong. As of Thursday’s close, the Dow is up 28% since he was inaugurated in January 2021—a respectable run. It is also slightly more than where the Dow was at the same point of Donald Trump’s presidency.

This, however, understates how well the market performed under Trump. At this point in his term, stocks had been nosediving as the economy shut down to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. Once the federal government and Federal Reserve flooded the economy with money and businesses reopened, the Dow turned around and shot up, finishing Trump’s term up 57% from the inauguration date.

    From Election Day
The performance of both presidents is stronger if measured from Election Day. For example, after the election in 2016, stocks rallied on expectations that a Republican president and Congress would cut taxes and regulations. In 2020, the postelection rally reflected good news on Covid vaccines and expectations of more stimulus. The Dow is up 45% since Biden defeated Trump in 2020. At the equivalent point in Trump’s term, it was up 34%, and it finished his term 70% higher.

Stocks are only one part of household wealth, and their ownership is most concentrated among the wealthy. A better measure of financial health is net worth: all assets, including stocks, bonds, cash and property, minus debts. Total household net worth rose 19% through Biden’s first three years in office, according to Federal Reserve data—not much less than the 23% through Trump’s first three years.

Though inflation is falling now, it has been higher on average under Biden than Trump. Adjusted for inflation, net worth was up just 0.7% through Biden’s first three years, compared with 16% through Trump’s first three years.

No body will vote for dementia Joe if Dow is high. Joe lied to every one that inflation was 9% when he took office and the truth is it was 1.4% Joe will be gone and another Obama like Michel would the candidates

The Biden campaign gleefully turned one of Donald Trump’s favorite digs against him on Saturday, branding the 78-year-old candidate as woefully geriatric in response to his embarrassing stumble at a Minnesota rally on Friday.

Video from the event shared by Biden-Harris HQ on X showed Trump grabbing the lectern during his remarks on stage, after nearly toppling the podium over.

“A feeble Trump nearly falls down on stage after he leans on his podium too hard and then goes on an angry rant calling his event workers ‘crappy,’” the caption reads.

In the video, Trump dramatically leans over the side of the podium, shuffles out from behind it, and then launches into a tirade about the poor quality of the stage setup.

“You know this is the worst platform, who put this stage up?” he ad-libbed, cutting into his own remarks. “The fricking place is falling down.”

“I notice it keeps tilting to the left,” Trump joked, “Like too many other things!”

The rest of his speech, however, had a considerably more sinister turn. Trump continued to press his stolen-election lies about his 2020 presidential run and seemed to encourage voter intimidation in the upcoming November election.

“I know we won [Minnesota] in 2020,” Trump insisted. “We’ve got to be careful. We’ve got to watch those votes.”

Though Trump and Biden have both suffered embarrassing gaffes that they’ve each tried to spin as evidence of the other’s senility, Trump’s campaigning in a state he’s won twice is reportedly supported by his advisers—not just an exercise for his ego.

Trump’s inner circle believes he can flip the state, although Minnesota’s Democrats, and even some of its Republicans, think that’s an uphill battle.
