24 Attacks Target US Forces in Iraq, Syria
    October 30, 2023 11:53 PM
    Carla Babb

U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria have been attacked with drones or rockets at least 24 times in recent days, including at least three attacks on Monday, according to U.S. defense officials.

At least five of these attacks were launched after U.S. forces struck two facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated groups during the early morning hours of Friday. None of the attacks carried out since the U.S. retaliatory strikes on Friday have caused casualties or damage, according to defense officials.

The latest attack on Monday used multiple rockets to target al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq, a defense official told VOA on condition of anonymity due to security sensitivities.

Other multi-rocket attacks were launched against forces at Green Village and Mission Support Site Euphrates in Syria.

On Sunday, a one-way attack drone was used against U.S. forces at a base near al-Shaddadi in northeastern Syria, and on Thursday another one-way attack drone targeted U.S. and coalition forces at al-Asad Air Base in Iraq, according to U.S. officials.

Pentagon Press Secretary Brigadier General Pat Ryder and other officials have blamed Iranian-backed proxies for the near daily attacks on U.S. forces.

"We know that these are Iranian-backed militia groups that are supported by Iran and, of course, we hold Iran responsible for these groups," Ryder said last week.

    'Iran's objective'

Asked by VOA on Monday whether the recent attacks are a sign that U.S. deterrence is not working, a senior defense official replied, “Iran's objective for a long time has been to force a withdrawal of the U.S. military from the region. What I would observe is that we're still there.”

One American F-15 and two American F-16 fighter jets used precision munitions against a weapons storage facility and an ammunition facility near Abu Kamal early Friday local time, according to defense officials. The Pentagon assesses the strikes successfully hit their targets, and it is still looking into casualty numbers.

“These precision self-defense strikes are a response to a series of ongoing and mostly unsuccessful attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups that began on October 17,” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement on October 26.

“The United States will not tolerate such attacks and will defend itself, its personnel, and its interests,” he added.

Officials have raised concerns about the prospect of "more significant escalation" in the region from Iranian proxy groups.

“Spillover into Syria is not just a risk; it has already begun,” Geir Pedersen, U.N. Special Envoy for Syria, told the U.N. Security Council on Monday via videoconference.

The attacks since October 17 on U.S. and coalition forces have resulted in 17 minor injuries to Americans in Syria and four minor injuries to American personnel in Iraq, with U.S. officials continuing to monitor any potential traumatic brain injuries.

One U.S. contractor at al-Asad Air Base in Iraq suffered a cardiac episode while sheltering in place during a false alarm for an air attack and later died.

At least 19 attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria occurred between October 17 and October 26, according to the Pentagon.

Approximately 900 troops have either deployed or are in process of deploying from the United States to the Middle East to increase force protection. These units include a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, battery from Fort Bliss, Patriot batteries from Fort Sill, and Patriot and Avenger batteries from Fort Liberty.

These moves come after Austin had placed more than 2,000 military personnel on heightened alert with a prepare-to-deploy order earlier this month.

If one U.S. soldier is killed by Iranian proxies, I think we should perform a surgical but massive strike on Shahid Rajaee - the port facilities at Bandar Abbass, Iran.

That will dry up their ability to export oil.

While Biden continues his open border policy he's also turned up the war on American business.
Biden has gone after small business, through the NLRB.
You see, traditionally when a company franchises (grants a license to use it's name and process) they have no responsibility if the franchisee fucks something up, like, say, miscalculates overtime or violates some labor law. The franchise is on the hook, not the corporation.
Biden is changing all that by making the corporation and the franchisee "partners", even though the corporation has done little besides license it's name and process.
    Why, you ask?
    Deep pockets.
    Really.
A typical McDonalds franchise may have the resources to pay a Million in damages. McDonalds can pay BILLIONS.

But what will happen is, corporations will quit franchising. And that will greatly restrict growth.

    But wait. Theres more!
They are also greatly restricting independent contractor relationships. You know, like musicians at festivals, and free lance writers and Over the road truckers.

Good job, Brandon. Fuck with commerce while you flood America with ILLEGAL MIGRANTS and terrorists.

Biden administration quietly steps up its war on small businesses
Story by Alfredo Ortiz • 6h

The Biden administration is quietly stepping up its war on small businesses through a series of new labor rules that make entrepreneurship more difficult and, in some cases, illegal.

Last week, the National Labor Relations Board announced a new joint employer rule that reduces franchising and contracting opportunities. This is in addition to a rule the Department of Labor is about to finalize that would ban many forms of freelancing and independent contracting.

As its name implies, the NLRB's new standard makes franchisees and contractors joint employers with their corporate parents. It expands the definition of employer from the commonsense one of a business that has "direct and immediate" control over employees to one that exercises mere "indirect" or "reserved" control.

As a result, corporations will curtail franchising and contracting opportunities due to liability concerns. If, for example, a restaurant or hotel franchisee improperly calculates an overtime payment, or if a janitorial contractor on a job site misses a safety regulation, greedy plaintiff lawyers can sue the corporation, which is now jointly responsible.

Existing franchisees and contractors would become mere middle managers who report to corporations, rather than entrepreneurs and owners of their own business. That’s some reward for years of hard work building a business.

Almost one-third of franchise owners say they would not own their business without franchising.

This new dynamic will disproportionately hurt minorities, who have long used the franchise system to punch their ticket to the middle class. Moreover, minority-owned franchisees tend to operate in minority-owned neighborhoods and hire minority workers, meaning this standard also would reduce minority job opportunities.

We don't have to look far to see the consequences of this regulation. Former President Barack Obama's NLRB also implemented this joint employer standard in 2015 before former President Donald Trump overturned it. According to the International Franchise Association, this change cost franchise businesses $33 billion per year in operational costs and 376,000 jobs while nearly doubling the number of lawsuits. The rule threatens the overall franchise system, which is responsible for 13.3 million jobs and $1.6 trillion of GDP.

Why does the Biden administration and its NLRB flunkies support this disruptive change? Because it’s a way to pay back Democrats' prominent plaintiff lawyer and labor union donors, whom Biden is relying on to step up and give him the funds needed for his reelection campaign.

A joint employer standard makes it far easier for unions to organize entire corporations. Similarly, the Department of Labor's forthcoming final independent contracting rule, which bans certain types of freelancing, will turn some independent small business owners into employees who can unionize, boosting the power of big labor, which can, in turn, help Democrats further. It's a naked back-scratching exercise.

Limiting independent contracting limits entrepreneurship and small businesses. This regulation especially hurts people who can't work standard employment hours because they have other responsibilities, such as child care or elder care.

Again, we don't need to speculate about the effects. In 2020, California enacted strict state regulation on independent contractors, and it significantly affected industries that rely on freelancers. California trucking company Cal Cartage Express, for example, was forced to close, putting 200 independent drivers out of work. The Lake Tahoe Music Festival cited AB 5 in its decision to shut down after 40 years. And Vox Media terminated approximately 200 freelance writers.

Curtailing franchising, contracting, and freelancing job opportunities weakens America's small business backbone. This regulatory onslaught is just another example of the unaccountable fourth branch of government that must be reined in by the courts or voters at the ballot box next year.

Lets get clear on a couple of things.
First, contrary to what American hater has been preaching for the last 8 years or so, America is NOT a "shithole country" or a "banana republic"
Not because of Trump, not because of the deplorable party, not because of conservative values.
And we aren't turning into one because of Biden, or despicables, or liberal values.

America is ever so much more.
No one person, no one political party, no one political movement can ever change that.
America is better than all that, and will be better than all that long after we're all gone.

And anyone who says or thinks different is an asshole American hating bitch.

‘He’s Accomplished So Much’: Hollywood Actress Tells the Truth About Biden
Story by Andrew Rodriguez • 20h

Actress Patricia Clarkson is speaking out to criticize Republicans for “going backward” on transgender “rights.”

Clarkson stars in the film “Monica” about a transvestite taking care of his dying mother. She believes the film should be shown to Republicans in Washington D.C. to educate them about transgenderism.

The 63-year-old character actress praised elderly Joe Biden by saying “old people get things done.” (Trending: Donald Trump Is A ‘Cockroach’ That Just Won’t Go Away)

“I’m just saying right now, let’s just talk,” Clarkson exclaimed.

“Old people get things done. Of course, President Joe Biden’s aging, but old people, they show up. They get things done. He’s accomplished so much in his time in office. Let’s not forget that.”

In the past, Clarkson told white men to “shut up” about sexism.

“Wherever we show it, wherever we take it, people who are not completely in tune with the transgender experience and the life are transformed by it and they’re learning,” Clarkson said.

Clarkson awkwardly described the director of the film, Andrea Pallaoro, as a “beautiful, queer man, a beautiful human.”

You just cannot make this shit up, can you?
Cause no one would believe it if it didn't come straight out of Hollywood.

This is just a continuation of the shutdown policies during the plandemic.....
Shutdown everything "healthy', family gatherings, Gyms, Churches, etc, but let's keep the Liquor Stores, Beer Distributors, and Dispensary's open so the masses and more can keep getting drunk, or smoking weed, munching edibles, and drawling on vapes, to keep the masses and more stoned so they don't care or figure out what we're doing.....

The Palestine/hamas protest on our college campuses is a direct reflection of Bidens social wars in America. His party has continuously supported the 1%s of America & has funded these colleges through monetary/intervention to attack the republican party.

Since the Israel/ Palestine war, he has been trapped to pick a side as many of the democratic party supports Palestine. Even to the point that his office wouldn't even use the word "antisemitism". Even when questioned by fox News if this was antisemitism, Karine would only say that they don't condone violence. But she wouldn't use the word.

However, after a student a Cornell threatened to slash the throats of Jews, they finally have used the word.....

    OCTOBER 31, 2023
Press Briefing by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby
    HOME
    BRIEFING ROOM
    PRESS BRIEFINGS
James S. Brady Press Briefing Room

    3:30 P.M. EDT

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Let’s give folks a couple of seconds to settle in.

    All right, everyone. Good afternoon.

    Q Good afternoon.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Thank you. Since the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel, we have seen an alarming rise in reported antisemitic incidents at schools and on college campuses.

There is no place for hate in America, and we condemn any antisemitic threat or incident in the strongest — in the strongest terms. We’re also closely monitoring and concerned by the reports of antisemitic threats at Cornell University.

To the students at Cornell and on campuses across the country: We’re tracking these threats closely, we’re thinking of you, and we’re going to do everything we can on both — at Cornell and across the country to counter — to counter terrorism — antisemitism.

There's more to the briefing and you get the point. But why wait for an event to happen before calling it what it is!

Florida State was the first college to protect their students and take the stance on No on campus protest of the Isreal/ Palestine war. Now Desantis has followed suit with other colleges in Fl. Which should have been the proper stance for all colleges to do!

So why would these Ivey colleges feel so bolden to go against what America stands for? Well, there is only one reason and that is Biden & his party of hate against all others that are not democrats.

And if you don't think that's true, look at what they are doing to the democrats that have left the party!
