For god's sake, listen to the 911 call. If Martin did anything to arouse suspicion other than be black and wear a hoodie, Zimmerman sure didn't mention it. Zimmerman simply decided he had no business there and was acting suspiciously. I never saw a more clear-cut case of racial profiling.

 

Then you don't know diddly about how neighborhood watch programs work. First of all, there's no such thing as a "neighborhood watch guard". Residents are simply instructed to report suspicious individuals or activities to the police. They are explicitly told NOT to carry a firearm, and NOT to engage any suspicious persons. They're told to let the police handle it.

Who says THAT's what happened? What evidence do you have for that?

I DONT know what happened. Thats why I think there should have been a full investigation on what happened. I believe that people shouldnt be allowed to kill anybody because they were "looking" suspicious. I don't believe that the full truth has come out and what we are going to end up with is... A man who allowed his fears to take over, a man who saw a black person and assumed he was up to no good, a man who disregarded what he was told by the police and went outside and confronted another man, who was just as scared as he was.
What we know is that Zimmerman shot Martin, that we can agree on.

What the US Govt should have done, meaning our President, was NOT to go on camera saying that HIS son would have looked like Trayvon....well no shit sherlock...what he SHOULD have done was issue a gag order on ALL media coverage....this would have quelled all the bullshit that we are going through right now until the true facts really did come out...Im NOT going to the defense of either side but things were said that were out of context which lead people to believe things that were not accurate....thusly causing confusion and with confusion there often times is violence...
