Normally I wouldn't do a "graphic" story because I wouldn't want to appear to be imitative, but since this story won't be open to balloting and since I discovered it really does work best in this format, I indulged a little. Hey BlackRonin a quick question.

well I finished it. I'll have to do editing tomorrow. I decided I'm not going to let the drama in my life keep me from this. 11,800 characters or 2500 words.
A question for you BlackRonin if you publish on main site does that take a day or two still to be loaded? I'd hate to put it up on the 5th but not have it publish till after the eighth. There used to be quite a delay. Then again I haven't published anything in over a year (year and a month), so I don't know at all they may have streamlined the process.
I suppose I can put it up in a forum if it doesn't go in time, though I prefer the story site.

 

The main site usually takes a couple of hours or less, barring any system glitch. You might consider posting in both locations, though. Most people here do that. That way you'll catch the widest audience.

It's been a while since you've published. If you see anything crazy, like question marks where they don't belong, it will not appear when you go into the story from the main page. If you go in through your account, you may see them.

 

Less than 24 hours until the story posting begins; this CAW promises to be the best one ever - at least of those I have entered or seen.

Now I'm getting anxious to post my story. I'm very happy with it, although I still maintain that a lot of people are going to think it's dumb. But hey, at least it doesn't have Richard Simmons!

 

I'm working on Richard Simmons meets the Mummy. Its going to be the greatest story ever.

True on that account - at least one good thing is, that after seeing the story Black Ronin wrote for his non-entry, I will not be facing him...of course this is countered by Horse potentially entering - in addition to all the other masters of the forum, so it shall be a fun match.

Richard Simmons and the Mummy. What have I started?

 

My next story will be a Betty White meets Frankenstein tale called "Deadwood".

 

Normally I would say that cardiovascular exercise is good for the heart, but I don't think it counts if your heart is sitting in a jar somewhere. Either way, I think it's important to point out that you should consult your doctor before beginning any strenuous exercise routine if you're used to a more sedentary life style, such as lying in a tomb wrapped in bandages for thousands of years.

 

I will freely admit that I'm out of shape. Not overweight, but not what you'd call buff. For sixty, it ain't bad.

But.

I'm happier looking the way I do than I would be if I "danced" myself into condition to look like this:





That's so wrong, on so many levels.

Really, I think that it is just that Richard may want some fun, that's all!

Horse - as I stated, if I win the CAW 13, then CAW 14 may be about Richard Simmons for the main theme.

 

I can see the dark forces from the north reading what you wrote, and conspiring against you, figuring that if they cannot get their subjects to vote against you, that they will marshal a force of a hundred thousand to march against you and...
