I also don't like people tossing around terms without the faintest clue what they mean. So I decided to educate the masses and teach them a little about what Socialism and Communism are really about. That doesn't mean I'm fully behind those, just that one should have the knowledge before one talks smack. I feel some type of hybrid system that incorporates the best of all systems that can shift fluidly as the needs arise should be well within our grasp one day, once the stigma of parts of it can be removed from the ignorant general populace.

On Sunday, July 9, 2006 The Washington Times ran an editorial that said, "on average, 25,000 private sector jobs have been created each month since January 2001. During the Clinton administration, private-sector nonfarm employment increased by an average of 217,000 per month." 2006 was hailed by the Bush Administration as a year of economic recovery.

A half million people lost their jobs last month, Deidre. Many of them were in the housing industry, like you are. Do you really want 20 of them, with better qualifications than you have, to apply for your job, and tell your employer that they will work for less than you are earning? Telling people to go out and get a job is unfeeling, when they are already looking for jobs and not finding any.

I am unimpressed with the enlightenment of one who copies and pastes polemics drawn from the internet. I wonder how many posters read through pffawg9999's copy and paste jobs. I skimmed them, and saw a few cliches that seemed profound and original to me when I was an undergraduate. That was once upon a time, many years ago.

pffawg9999 will impress me when he demonstrates that he can do his own thinking and writing. I would like for him to present facts I was unaware of and insights that had not occurred to me, but which I recognize to be valid. It would also be nice if he could post his comments on single computer screens. Repeating a bad argument does not turn it into a good one.

Am sorry that you see pffawg9999's intelligent posts as being anything but informative and insightful and would counter that you only are attacking him as you lack to courage to take on someone like stumbler (who has also put her in her place), who himself in numerous post uses copy and paste as a medium to convey a message to which I would add has aided me learning many things unlike the person you are so called defending who contributes nothing but chaos.

Therein lies the truth, many in here do not openly agree with my views, actually I would say the majority does not. Keyword here is "openly", our country is a lot more to center than to right or left. While it is fun to belong to a group that echoes your exact "open" beliefs, it has to be awfully boring. My thinking is that more in here "covertly" agree with me, on most subjects,than not.

I have expressed my respect for stumbler here on the XNXX Fourm. I have also learned from him. He uses facts drawn from the internet in order to substantiate his own points. There is a difference between that and posting ideological hot air written by someone else.

There is being informed and then there is being ridiculous. If you think that the posting of endless political propaganda and dogma, is a good way to inform others, then I wish you good luck.

You assume a whole lot if you think that I am either not well informed or that I do not seek others opinions. Posting "cut and paste" works by others is not an indication of one being well informed, it actually shows the opposite.

 

There will always be a place for Deidre on my white horse. If her comments were posted by a middle aged man I would be more willing to confront that middle aged man. Even then, I would make an effort to deal with his opinions, while not flaming him as a person.

On other internet forums I have stood alone against raving mobs of bullies, so I know how Deidre feels. In my case, the bullies were right wing nut cases motivated by clandestine racism and informed by Social Darwinism, but I am inclined to defend anyone who stands alone.

 

Isn't it interesting that the few hardheads in here who slam another in the most dastardly personal ways, are liberals. Don't they preach tolerance and self control??
