What would be the point of engaging such an engaging lady in conversation, fine food and wine if, at the end of the evening, you would hand her over to someone else to pleasure herself with?

Is that not some form of masochism?

 

Masochism... I guess in this case it's in the eye of the beholder.

Let's say Julia is a friend of mine, but she's engaged, or has a boyfriend. I'd still look forward to a nice evening with her, even if I knew she'd spend the night with her fiancé/bf. I'd probably say to myself 'That's one lucky son of a bitch...', but I'd still accept that.

Of course I'd gladly accept if she'd ask me to sleep with her.

I'm glad you like this little philosophical dispute. What I'm trying to say is for me it's worthwhile to spend time with a woman I like, no matter if this leads to sex with her or not. Sex is important to me, but it's not everything.
