I qualified that post by explaining why I counted who where, and by pointing out that it didn't mean anything. Shit I even admitted flaws in the selection of persons. Those in the against column were selected because they had generally negative feelings about dd, even if they valued her as a poster.

First let's stick to the truth and actual facts.

Deidre79 is not banned. Check for yourself. Her/His/Its profile is still accessible. There is no banned under her/his/its name. I told you. I warned you. Whoever or whatever Nophest is Nophest uses very few words so you need to read every one of them.

Deidre79 has what ever is left of the 48 hours from the time Nophest said.

Which of course was totally unnecessary. I myself forced supporters like tenguy, Ace's&8's and Distant Lover to admit that Deidre79's charges of discrimination and favoritism were unfounded. Total fantasy.

And you know, lots of us, spend hours, maybe days, frolicking and playing, debating and fighting and don't forget the fucking around in every possible definition of the term on this site for free.

You have to know don't you? I mean it had to be not just explained to me, but beat into my fucking head the first time I thought I saw a form of censorship on this forum and threw a fit for weeks, that this ain't no democracy. It's not some government with courts and laws. Its not something I have a right to or even fucking paid for.

This is a private for profit site owned and operated by people who have no other really rational objective other than to generate profits. Yes, I'm sure you can picture it, I cried like a baby. What else could I do? No shit, my ideals and reality didn't match up. Go figure.

But then I had to realize that even though all that is true this forum exists. And not only exists. Sails as the most pure, real, consistent, and courageous bastion of free speech I have ever seen or participated in.

You know I ended up concluding the only logical reason is because someone, some other unreal persona we have no true idea of that calls himself Nophest wanted to try and build something like that. And for all this time the only one less visible and less intrusive than the moderators is that same Nophest.

And you know what? Even though Nophest doesn't say much, you know I think Nophest has really created something here. Something unique, free, uncensored, and fucking fair. And I don't blame Nophest at all for not putting up with people that will lie about something they've worked very hard to create and then gave us for free.

 

Maybe when you are determining which members have socks then divulge that information to select members. Or to use that information to attack not only the member you have bias against , but also their sock. There is no way for Nophest or anyone else to know what you tell select members. That is why I say there are plenty of members who are far more trustworthy to hold the position. Maybe poll boy AR can start one to see who we the people wanted as our mods added.

I didn't make a single thread about dd but the one she requested. In fact, the other threads I started were some of the only few not to be invaded by this argument at all. Baller was deliberately picked as an example because Baller and Shake go at it so often. Yet Shake wouldn't have Baller banned any more than you would get the axe because that's all personal shit - it doesn't involve the running of the forum.

Deidre decided to go after the people running the forum, and yeah, it probably was instigated by Shake's "promotion". That is where she crossed the line. Not that she was being her usual abrasive self, but that she was going after the people who are actually in charge. Worse, she was getting others upset by throwing around her accusations, and those who didn't know better were starting to feel threatened by the mods. That is what Nophest had to put out before it got to be a problem.

And what did Deidre do? Did she cite any of the comments made in the New Moderators thread about how others thought Shake's sig was a little inappropriate, or quote the sig itself? (Which, admittedly, might have been a little suicidal, but probably not). Did she offer an apology and admit that she might be out of line, just this once? No. Her first reply was to accuse Nophest of mocking her as well, just for trying to get to the bottom of this. She could have avoided this whole thing by displaying an ounce of common sense. She chose not to.

This was not because she was a conservative. Tenguy is still here. Ace is still here. I'm still here.

This is not because she insulted people. Az and TCL are still here. Tenguy, Stumbler, Kimiko, Ace, Shake, Baller, all still here. No bans in sight.

She did get banned because she was causing too many problems for the Admin. Not Shake. Not Piggit. Not Chunky. She was causing problems for Nophest. And this is his house. He had every right to ban her when she decided not to cooperate with him.

Nophest was the clearest I've ever seen. Nophest said he will not tolerate discrimination or censorship. So either the mods that committed the censorship and/or favoritism was gone, or Deidre79 was for falsely accusing this forum of censorship and favoritism. Deidre79 was given ample opportunity to retract and instead pressed the false accusation.

You can't and I won't blame Nophest for defending the integrity of this site and its moderators. Especially for the price we pay for being here.

And if you don't like it I suppose you could join Deidre79 as a sign of protest.
