Look, I know you wouldn't guess it, but I'm actually three dimensional. I vote on both sides of the aisle based on where the information leads me. Personal Liberties, and freedom come first in my book. I'm in favor of freedom of choice and freedom of information. I expect science to inform the process, not dominate it. Clearly, nobody here knows what the hell I stand for but rather has pigeonholed me into the role of "a crazy left wing nut" because I disagree with bad science on either side of the aisle.

Fuck both major parties. Let's educate ourselves and future generations and resolve to work hard to identify and correct the social, environmental, and economic issues that face us. And let's not let our ideological phallus lead the way, let's let our minds solve the problems.

I've been on this site for less than a week yet I keep seeing this drama going on. It's kinda worrying me. I don't want to be on a site where the admins and mods get kicks out of humiliating people.

I think that most Americans are sick of the two party system, but don't believe that we can do anything else. I for one suffer from extreme political apathy because I no longer believe ANY politician.

If you're talking to Nophest, then no, he probably won't see it. He worries about running the rest of the site while Piggit, Chunky, and now ShakeZulu and eljs go spammer and kiddy porn hunting to keep the site clean.

As for this happening often, this is the first ban I've heard of in the year or so I've been here. The fact its being held as a public court is admittedly new, but no, this isn't being done for the personal gratification of any of the mods. The fact that Nophest had to step in at all means things were getting radically out of hand.

As for hanging out here, just remember the golden rule; do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I don't think this is the norm. I'm pretty sure that nophest is making an attempt at countering misinformation that was already public, but I can't speak for him.

This isn't a matter of humiliation, DD has been walking this line since she got here, and she finally fell.

 

Again, lots of people have differences of opinion on this forum and don't get banned. Libel against the moderators and administrators of the board, years of trolling, and an inability to apologize is what got you banned.

 

If I was the administrator here your behavior would be the prime example of what constitutes non membership. Maybe you should go back to school and get an education on manners and how to treat other human beings who don't agree with you and are not afraid to tell you so. Thank You+

 

I thought that the ban thread was a joke, to be honest. I figured that's why it was public.

However, if it is true, which it appears it is, then my guess is that they thought it was fitting. Deidre makes a living trying to humiliate, insult, and degrade others. What better way for her to go out?

From what I have gleaned purely through deduction and a wee bit of speculation - only the misbehaving sock(s) get banned. If a particular persona behaves, they get to stay. If this is true, and I'm currently convinced that it is, that makes this place one of the best communities across the entire internet in my opinion.
