  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

Pathetic...........Is there anything that Beck has exposed, and has been proven to be a lie or even a misrepresentation of the facts? The individuals are the culprits, they acted on their own free will and are paying for their crimes. When the truth comes to light people re-act, and it is their responsibility to act appropriately.

I divorced myself from the republican party and conservative "values" about fifteen years ago. Up to that point I was a hard core Rush Limbaugh fanatic. I even had the "Ditto Head" coffee mug and a signed copy of his book "The Way Things Ought To Be."

But one morning I woke up and stared at the celing in my bedroom and thought long and hard about the ideals he was presenting versus the way things realy were. I thought about everything I believed and how Rush kinda flew in the face of alot of what I realy felt in my heart.

I can tell you however that in my Rush years my rifles were regularly cleaned and so were the rifles of dozens of people I knew. Bill Clinton was president and if the right wingers were to be believed then we all actualy died back in 1994. At no point did the rhetorc ever include any sort of admonition to violence directly. But the undertone of everything that was said was clear...be prepared to "take matters into your own hands." But never so plainly that anyone could ever be accused of inciting violence. But the intent was there. The anger...hell...the outright hatred that was fostered by the right was truly amazing. It was never just plain disagreement...it was hate.Pure and unabashed hate.

They never said "we disagree with thier ideas and think it would be better accomplished another way." It was always couched in the idea that we were "loosing our country and they were leading us down a path of destruction." There were the calls to "take our country back from the godless liberals" and "dont let them destroy us all." The intent was clear.Spawn hatred and anger. Both of which will be taken to the extreme by someone and thats when shots are fired and bodies get counted.

    People.......
It's pretty obvious now that the moron shot Gifford because he took an imagined slight, simmered it in his fucked up brain, seasoned it with some drugs, and 4 years later decides to shoot her and anyone nearby.

The whole "right wing extremists rhetoric is the cause" and all the other BS STILL being bandied about here ignores the real issue.

A whack job went off the edge and 20 people were shot; 5 died. End of debate. Let the healing begin.

    But, for them wants to yammer on about hate speech have to recognize that liberals employ the same tactics;
    Tricky Dick?
Remember the nonsense about that "washed up B movie actor" running the country? The Teflon president?
Remember Bush 1 being a war monger?
Remember Bush 2 the war monger?

Cmon people, you're doing exactly what you accuse the right wingers of; hate speech.

All a buncha phonies in my opinion.

The big difference between left wing hate speach and right wing hate speach is that liberals dont like guns:)

Seriously though you have a point. But again I point to my years as a Ditto Head and I wonder why there hasnt been more violence. The left is generaly less inclined to violent reaction than the right. They dont form militias or sit in darkened rooms listening to Glen Beck while polishing thier assault rifles.Earlier in this thread I mentioned the 1934 gun control act that made ownership of fully automatic weapons and a variety of other toys dependant upon obtaining federal licensing and registration of the weapons. The result was that of all the leagaly owned "class three" firearms in the U.S. virtualy none of them have been involved in a crime.

There are extensive background checks done by the feds and you local, county and state law enforcement. They even ask questions of your friends and neighbors. As a result there are no lunatics that are able to buy automatic weapons legaly. Of all of the fully automatic weapons currently in the U.S. over half of them are in the hands of collectors and private owners while less than half are in the hands of law enforcement or the military.Yes...thats right...the citizens of the United States actualy have more firepower than the military and law enforcement combined, not including hunting rifles, assault rifle lookalikes, handguns, shotguns and peashooters.

One of the critical issues in this and many other cases centers around the idea that mental illness is kept strictly confidential and law enforcement authorities have absolutly no way of screening for mental illness. So it is possible for dangerously unstable people to easily obtain firearms as long as they have never had any direct dealings with law enforcement involving thier mental illness. Now if you go to get a drivers license they test your eyes and ask about prescriptions or condidtions that may effect your ability to opperate a motor vehichle safely. Your doctor has the power to recommend that the state deny you a license based on things like epilepsy or certain vision problems. But mental illness is treated like a big secret and your doctor cannot inform the authorities that you shouldnt have a gun.

Until that changes we are going to see shit like this happen. And until we instal a system like the system they have in place already for class three firearms where every sale must be made between two people through a licensed dealer only and proper documentation must be produced we will continue to see shit like this. As it is any moron can sell a gun to a buddy with no paperwork required. Class three weapons must be sold through a dealer only and transfer taxes and paperwork are a must. The feds keep a close eye on that and it works...and they havent even once tried to take away anyones legal weapons.

Heres a video of some real rednecks having a great time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e78SMbqakdQ

    another one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWEqMlb8Jkg&feature=related

    And its leagal....

Do you magically make things up as you go? Or does it take practice?

Government run health care rushes to Giffords' aid is a bit misleading. Because someone who reads that could assume that you are talking about the new bill that just passed.

But the fact is the because Giffords' husband is in the military, she is entitled to have military medical attention. Yet it was not provided until her husband said that he would like for this medical assistance to be provided to him.

So guess "It Pays to Have Military Benefits" would be a better title for your post.

With alot of 'students' in the audience, it was a good ''pep rally''. All in all, it was a speech that was needed, and his writer chose some affective words. Gabriel is a very strong woman and will fight for a more successful recovery.

You all know I am not a big fan of our President, He is the man I voted for and in spite of my displeasure, I still think made the right choice.

His words yesterday should be carefully considered before any more wild accusations are put forth:

How is calling someone Tricky Dick, or even a war monger, the moral equivalent of calling for a "second amendment remedy", or telling your followers to "lock and load", or to "take up arms", or putting a bullseye on them?

Criticize the source if you like...but you haven't proven that anything said above was either misquoted or taken out of context. The only thing Glenn Beck could say that would be out of context or would alter his meaning is if he prefaced all of his remarks with: "It would be really stupid of me to say..."

Pointing out the fact that references to guns and gun violence are dangerous and irresponsible is hardly a "wild accusation". You and yours continue to try to portray this as if we're accusing Palin et al of a crime, when nobody is.

    Your rhetoric betrays you.

You are quick to blame the opposition for the actions of unstable people, maybe you should reflect a little more on your words.

To my knowledge, you have not. But that is not the issue that I have with your rhetorical posts accusing other of inciting people to violent acts.

Even the President sees the danger in that exercise, it ratchets the rhetoric even higher.
