Well, you have a point there are those who can not face reality and believe the lies they tell are the truth.

I am not saying that people would own up here or that there are people in this forum that are this....but have come across a few that are iffy...I am sure you can relate as you have been here longer than I....I befriended a person on the net, not going to give to much detail as I believe in privacy, and we have had a lot of talks/chats....got real personal and I came across some information that was incorrect and when I called this person out on it they admitted there lies in a very general way then cut me off. They sort of tucked there tail and ran. I am left with the unknown and I am not one to just let it go. I want to understand any and all in this world...that is just who I am......a person who the brain and its function with the world a big unknown and interest.
While posting this thread I realized that one who would or does this would not admit it as it would be the end of there communication, here at least, but I think if they are brave enough they would come here to the defense of people in general who do this and try to offer an explanation or to discredit me. So I posted anyway as I thought it was a good point and reminder to all that this does happen and to beware of your choices.

 

The Internet is a tricky deal if I really wanted to meet someone on line.

I have posted in forums for 14 years and have had some good "online" friends as opposed to real world friends cause you just never know what is what for sure when it is online....

I never lie abut who I am. If someone asks me a personal question that I prefer not to answer, I tell them so rather than make something up.

No, I do not. For both morale and religious reasons. That being said I do however view what other people say about themselves with a grain of salt. There was a time when a persons word was their bond. They meant what they said and they spoke what they meant. In this day and age, it seems perfectly acceptable to lie to get what you want. Loathsome to be sure, but such in the way of things.

For example, I have heard that men who make some reference to their penis as a nickname/handle are in fact compensating for something, either size, social skills, what have you.

It is small hints like this that can tell you someone is lying/bragging. Unfortunately you can only learn these skills by trial and error.

I am myself out here. The only thing I wouldn't tell is exactly where in Texas I am. .....unless the heat has been turned up and we both need to finally relieve one another, LOL. But really,..I'll tell it to ya straight.

Now to maybe put a spin on this,..I sometimes have to live vicariously thru a "good boy" me in real life. Simply put,..I cant be a funny, charming, nice pervert to my own damn wife anymore,..or around our few friends.
