You're entitled to your opinion but not your facts.
The economy was limp, Trump did what he said he would do and lit a fire under it.

    Ah.
The "vast majority of economists", eh?
kind of like the vast majority of "mental health experts" say Trump is nuttier than a can of peanuts, eh?

Shooter looked at GDP. Unemployment. Business outlook. Labor force attachment. Industry growth. The stock market. Investment trends. Real Estate. Wage Growth. Inflation.
    And his 401(k).

Obama did indeed guide us out of a melt down in the economy. It took him 8 years, he never got it back to where it had been, and he even told us, those days are gone, we'll never have that prosperity again.
    Really. Look it up.

Trump took that economy and lit a fire under it. GDP did exceed 3%. Unemployment was never lower in recent history. In fact, we had more job openings than people to fill them. That hadn't happened since WWII. Business optimism was never so high. More people were returning to the labor force. Remember the 1.5 MILLION people who Obama paid unemployment to for 2 years to not work and instead go to school, and then he made it impossible for them to walk away from their college debt and they couldn't find a job cause, you know, unemployed for two years? Industry, in particular manufacturing was roaring right along, and the stock market was again running on all burners? Investment was way up and Real Estate was back. We were energy independent even!
And wage growth! For the first time in decades, real wage growth was happening, and it was happening more for minorities and women than ever before. The racist, sexist Trump got women and minorities back in the labor force, and with better jobs than ever. Inflation was anemic, and Shooter's 401(K) was embarrassingly out performing every optimistic expectation he had.

Biden? Inflation. High gas prices. Eggs. poor stock market. lowered labor force participation. Shooters 401(k) is worse off today than it was in 2008. And so on.

The vast majority of economists? Are they from the same club as the mental health experts?

Trump inherited an economy on the mend. Obama inherited an economy in crises. But of course trumptards will be trumptards.

LIE: “When I took office three years ago, America’s economy was in a rather dismal state.”

FACT: Trump inherited a vibrant labor market with strong income growth.

“Obama also leaves Trump an unemployment rate that is well below the historical norm. Currently it stands at 4.7 percent…. Trump enters the White House at a time when incomes have begun to rebound after years of stagnation. In 2015 median household income jumped 5.2 percent — the largest one-year percentage increase since records began in 1967.”

If tRump's economy was so good then how did he manage to ADD $7.6 TRILLION to your national debt in just 4 years.

Barry O did an exceptional job to only add $8.6 trillion after having to deal with America's economy was in the sewer after the Global Financial Crisis tore apart the world's economy.......

Barry O had to rebuild it, tRump came in and tore it all down.

You can believe whatever you want.
The facts don't support your belief, but that's OK, we can't all be critical thinkers.
If we were, the politicians wouldn't be able to use their propaganda on us.
In fact, politicians would be an entirely different critter.

FBI says it has no records related to Trump's claim he 'sent' agents to stop voter fraud in Florida during 2018 election

The FBI has said it can find no records related to former President Donald Trump’s assertions in November that he “sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys” to stop “ballot theft” in Florida during the 2018 election.

In a letter dated March 6 and received this week by NBC News, the FBI wrote that it had searched its Central Records System but was “unable to identify records” in response to a reporter’s Freedom of Information Act request seeking any records related to Trump’s claims.

The FOIA request was submitted a day after Trump on Nov. 10 described how he delivered a 2018 election win to now-Gov. Ron DeSantis by having the FBI intervene to stop election fraud in Broward County.

Trump issued the statement at a time when DeSantis, a Republican and potential presidential candidate, was garnering praise from right-leaning media for his resounding re-election victory last year.

“[A]fter the Race, when votes were being stolen by the corrupt Election process in Broward County, and Ron was going down ten thousand votes a day, along with now-Senator Rick Scott, I sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys, and the ballot theft immediately ended, just prior to them running out of the votes necessary to win. I stopped his Election from being stolen,” Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Trump’s claims, which he did not support with any evidence, raised serious questions about whether he used the power of the presidency to order federal agents to intervene in an election. The bar for the FBI to get involved in election tabulation is exceedingly high, with strict guidelines prohibiting its presence inside voting locations.

In the immediate wake of Trump’s statement, the FBI and the Justice Department declined to comment, but a former official later indicated on Twitter that Trump’s account was fabricated.

“Never happened,” former Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur tweeted the morning after Trump made his statement.

Trump’s remarks also prompted Nikki Fried, a Democrat who was then Florida’s agriculture commissioner, to ask U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the assertions.

“There was no broad allegation that the election was being stolen from Ron DeSantis in favor of Andrew Gillum. I know because I was on the ballot in 2018,” Fried wrote in a Nov. 14 letter to Garland. Gillum was the Democratic candidate for governor in 2018 who ultimately lost the race to DeSantis.

The Justice Department and Trump’s press office, as well as a representative for the former president, did not immediately respond to requests for comment Tuesday.

Trump’s statement in November did accurately describe how DeSantis surged ahead of his primary opponent, Adam Putnam, after he got Trump’s endorsement for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.

DeSantis went on to declare victory in the general election on election night in 2018, but the race underwent an automatic recount because his margin of victory over Gillum was less than 0.5%.

State elections officials later said they found no evidence of election fraud in 2018, although an audit in Broward County concluded the election was “not efficiently and effectively conducted.”

After Trump’s comments in November, a spokesperson for the Broward County Elections Office told the Tallahassee Democrat that the office had “no documentation of any federal law enforcement presence during the 2018 elections."

As part of its FOIA request, NBC News asked the FBI to expedite its search for records. The FBI later agreed to do so, writing in a letter in February that the request warranted the expedited search because it involved a "matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exist possible questions about the government’s integrity which affect public confidence."

Trump Says He’s ‘The Most Innocent Man in the History of Our Country’ at Lie-Filled Waco Rally

Donald Trump held the first campaign rally for his 2024 presidential campaign on Saturday, held at the Waco Regional Airport in Texas, making a dramatic entrance with a flyover to the tune of Top Gun single “Danger Zone” as hundreds of his MAGA followers in attendance cheered. Meanwhile, “Christian Worship Artist” Vanessa Horabuena took the stage, splashing paint onto a black canvas to quickly turn Rorshach-like splashes of orange, yellows and neutrals into a serious, side-faced profile portrait of Trump with an American flag in the background. The event also featured the track “Justice for All” featuring Donald J. Trump and the J6 Prison Choir.

During the rally — attended by endorsers that included Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz, Ted Nugent, and several Texas politicians, including Lieutenant Governor of Texas Dan Patrick — Trump revisited his favorite MAGA rallying cry hit lists: falsely blaming immigrants, the media, the Democrats, a stolen election, and more for the demise of America, where he purports to be the cure.

    Trumpard fantasy world.

Obama took office in the midst of a serious economic recession after Bush's 2nd term. By the time Obama left office, the economy was well on its way to a full recovery.

Trump like always lied about the economy in order to take credit for something he had inherited.

Trump inherited a bull market thanks to the work of the Obama administration.

And its pretty easy to keep an economy and Wall Street going if you just throw a trillion dollars at it.

By the time President Obama left office the budget deficit was about $500 billion. Then Trump and the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans ran the defict up to a trillion dollars again in a time of prosperity and before anyone had ever even heard of COVID 19.

This is actually one of Trump's rhetorical tricks. Mental health experts and especially Dr Lance Dodes pointed out years ago the US media was doing a terrible injustice and real damage by taking little bits of Trump's speeches and statements and try to make sense of them without also publishing the actual transcripts. Because if you read the transcripts without all of Trump's misdirection and rhetorical tricks it is obvious Trump is simply babbling nonsense. And he especially noted Trump's constant contradictions within his statements and sometimes even within the space of a single fragment of a sentence. Which he pointed out in trying to make sense of what Trump is saying with his constant contradictions anyone can hear anything the want.

Among the many lies that Donald Trump told during his Saturday rally in Waco, Texas, was his ongoing claim that he kept his promise to build a wall on the southern border and force Mexico to pay for it. It didn't happen before he left office on Jan. 20, 2021.

CNN's Daniel Dale listed off a few of the lies that Trump told his Texas audience, but the main one was that he both built the wall and somehow still needed to finish the job.

"I built hundreds of miles of wall and completed that task totally as promised," Trump told the audience. "And then I began to add even more wall in areas where it was needed."

If he "completed that task totally as promised," why was it necessary to "add even more wall?"

Trump built a small piece of his so-called "wall," which he claimed would be a concrete wall along the entire 2,000-mile border of the U.S. and Mexico. It turned out to be more like a fence. A 2020 BBC fact-check explained that George W. Bush and previous congresses had funded a lot of the structure and maintenance of it.

He got about $5 billion from Congress for the fence, and he took an additional $10 billion from the Department of Defense budget, the fact-check continued. As of the time Trump left office, there were about 40 miles of his fencing that had been built, FactCheck.org explained.

An unpublished memo from U.S. Customs and Border Protection was leaked in March 2022, The Washington Post reported. Among the details that were revealed were that the so-called "impenetrable" Trump border wall had been crossed more than 3,200 times before Trump left office. Agents confessed that there were people slicing through the steel with a saw that could be purchased at a big box store.

A New York Times photo of one stretch of fence Trump built shows it starting at some point along a hill and going along to the other side. One could simply walk around the fence.

Trump is now a caged animal. In his reptilian brain all he can feel is himself and his only instinct is to say or do whatever he thinks will help him survive fr0m moment to moment. And that is not me saying that. It comes from the observations of some of the best mental health experts in the country. Trump exists in a delusional reality where he is always the smartest, the toughest, invincible, and infallible. But now something has come along to challenge his delusions. Trump feels reality closing in on him and all his sycophants cannot protect him from it.

CNN Fact-Checker Daniel Dale Knocks Down Trump’s Post-Indictment Speech at Mar-a-Lago: ‘Keeps Being Wrong’
    By Tommy ChristopherApr 5th, 2023, 11:32 am

    upload_2023-4-5_10-38-38.png

CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale debunked former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago speech lashing out after his arraignment and found Trump “keeps being wrong” about some oft-repeated claims.

Trump traveled to New York Tuesday for his arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, during which Bragg’s indictment was unsealed and the 34 felony counts against Trump were revealed. The defendant entered pleas of “not guilty” to crimes involving hush money payments to adult entertainment entrepreneur Stormy Daniels and others and left the courthouse without answering questions.

Trump returned to Mar-a-Lago and delivered a speech that night in which he renewed his attacks on the judge in the case, and trotted out some well-worn false claims about the cries he is accused of.

On Wednesday morning’s edition of brand-new dayside program CNN News Central, Dale took on Trump’s false claims about his handling of classified documents and his alleged election crimes in Georgia:

JOHN BERMAN: All right. CNN’s Daniel Dale is with us. And Daniel, you have that furrowed brow, which leads me to believe there might be something amiss with Donald Trump saying that presidents are supposed to negotiate with NARA.

DANIEL DALE: John, Trump keeps saying this and it keeps being just as wrong as it was the first time he said it. The Presidential Records Act of 1978 is open and shut, clear cut. It has a key sentence. You can go look up yourself. It says, “upon the conclusion of a president’s term of office, the archivist of the United States,” so the federal government, “shall assume responsibility for the custody, control and preservation of and access to the presidential records of that president.”

That’s basically it, that’s relevant here. Nothing in this law says there should be a deal-making process, a prolonged negotiation, a talk, talk, talk process, as Trump put it last week between NARA and an ex-president. I spoke to five experts about this. All of them said Trump is completely inaccurate.

NARA former director of litigation, Jason R Barron, told me Trump is simply wrong as a matter of law. He said, Look, as of noon on January 20th, 2021, when President Biden took office, all presidential records of the Trump administration came into the legal custody of the archivist of the United States. Full stop. That means no presidential records should ever have been transferred to Mar a Lago, and there was no further talking or negotiating to be had.

JOHN BERMAN: Those two words shall assume they carry a lot of weight, legally speaking, there. All right, Daniel. So the former president also defended this famous January 2021 phone call, I should say infamous, with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where he urged Raffensperger to go find him votes, find him enough votes to overturn the Georgia election results. This is what he said about that call last night.

DONALD TRUMP: Nobody found anything wrong with that perfect call until a book promotion tour. Many months later, all of a sudden they say, you know, I remember Trump making a call. Let’s look at that.

JOHN BERMAN: No one had a problem with it until months later? Daniel, That’s not how I remember it.

DANIEL DALE: That is not accurate. It’s a complete rewriting of history. This call was leaked almost immediately. The Washington Post broke the story the day after the call, and there was an immediate uproar. I mean, every media outlet covered it.

That very day, then-Vice President elect Kamala Harris called it a bald-faced, bold abuse of power by the president of the United States. The day after that, some Democratic members of Congress wrote to the FBI asking for a federal probe.

And that same day, Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney indicated that she was willing to investigate it herself. She she said she she saw the report. She found them disturbing. And she said, “I will enforce the law without fear or favor.” And she continued, “Once the investigation is complete, this matter, like all matters, will be handled by our office based on the facts and the law.”

And I’ll add that that same week, so three days after the phone call, CNN ran an article on its website saying that legal experts say that Trump’s call could put him in legal peril. The idea that no one found anything wrong with this call until, say, Brad Raffensperger’s book promotion tour in the fall of 2021, simply not borne out by the facts.

JOHN BERMAN: Daniel Dale, thank you so much for joining us and welcome to CNN News Central. Hope to see you again soon.

Trumptrard nonsense. Trump inherited an economy that was steadily improving. It was Obama not Trump, who oversaw the recovery from the "Great recession" But Trumptards purposely forget how bad the economy was when Obama took office. Trump has it easy compared to Obama.

The facts show that obama indeed inherited an economy in the dump.
In 8 years the economy came back, he got it on the mend.
Then trump lit a rocket in its ass. And for 3 years life was good. Right up to covid.
      Which biden inherited.
And like everything else, he's managed to fuck it up.

Whatever else you say about trump and despicables, they can, if despicables don't get in the way, light up the economy.
