  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Buddhism has the same aversion to vaginal birth as Christians do. Why are men so afraid of the vagina?

Yeah but... I mean we spend our whole lives questing after it, everything we do is in an attempt to attain more of it, (for us straight guys, anyway) yet those patriarchal religious types spend so much time in fear of it.

    Somebody needs a pimp slappin'.

'Religious types' belong to an organisation that is designed to control the population. If they can't control it, they fear it. Look at female circumscision and the stoning of adulterors - not common in Christianity or Buddhism granted, but an extreme form of control.

It's not common now. But it was. And don't think Buddhism is all teddy bears and butterflies. It, just like any other religion, got in to power in asia and was responsible for a lot of death and suffering. Buddhists did some horrible shit back in the day.

I should just point out, for the sake of accuracy, that regardless of what someone appears to have posted on this thread, the statement 'nothing is random' is false.

Perhaps a cursory study of radioactive decay will illuminate the issue.

Lord no, I have a supposedly enlightened Buddhist friend who in the interests of compassion will not have her partner's daughter in the house in fear that she 'contaminates' her own son. I know it's not rainbows and butterflies - ever read the book of the dead? Heard of the hungry ghosts?

No, I haven't read that book. But, I will tell you a funny story. Once, in my first year as a teacher in South Korea, I had a student. She was very cute, about 9 years old and so precious you wanted to pack her up in a suitcase and take her home with you.

Once day she asked me if I was a Christian and I told her no, that I wasn't. Then she asked (in her hand gesture sign language-y way) if I was a buddist. (Her English wasn't all that great.) And I told her no, that I was nothing. She then went on to tell me that her mother was a Christian and her father was a buddhist and that her mother said her father was going to hell. And she was visibly upset about this. I felt so bad for her and hated her mother for making her daughter think that her father would be punished for all eternity.

Fuck the police. (And by police, I mean religion.)

Ouch - terrible what some people do to their children. The partner of the above Buddhist had his ex (sorry that's a bit complicated but bear with me) telling his kids that he had abused them as young children. Ironic then that their new stepfather did indeed try to abuse my friend's daughter. Luckily she was old enough to tell him where to get off and told her mother - who denied it and made no objection when she left home. All the more reason that my buddhist friend should have sheltered and supported her.

Ok rant over. It's rare to find a religious person who practices what they preach.

I am one of those "religious types" who does practice what is preached..

However, we are expressly forbidden to preach.

IMO. religion is like money.. a good idea that went very wrong very fast.
