Trans, as I said, you are displaying several of the major symptoms of depression. All internet bravado aside, I would very strongly advise that you see a professional. If it is depression then you can get guidance and help, if not then you will not lose anything for trying. Most counsellors and therapists offer single sessions for an affordable price, and there is rarely any obligation to ever see them again. I hope that you can find a reason and pleasure in existing again, but I will bow out of this thread before it gets sucked into another argument.

I must disagree. This concept of "we live to procreate" is false in my perception.

We live because we do. we are not required to "pass on what we know" nor should we feel compelled by societal demands to have children.

Jordan had flaws, and so did Kobe and so does LeBron. Jordan was simply the first of what he was and nobody has been better than him since. The only one who could have been was Grant Hill but his career got derailed by injuries when he was about to take off. Jordan wasn't perfect. He didn't play the game right until later in his career and it took him awhile to develop a three point shot. Kobe has always been a more refined offensive player but he's nowhere near the competitor Jordan was and doesn't have his will. LeBron has Jordan's will and is the same level of competitor but doesn't have a jump shot yet and hasn't refined his game to the level of Jordan's or Kobe's, though he's been playing the right way since his rookie year.

Whenever Jordan was interviewed, he always said Dr. J was better than him. Len Bias was better than him in college. It's possible to be on his level or better than him.

I understand what you're saying, and I don't think that procreating is required. Any three of those aspects can constitute the "meaning of life", to me.

The last thing I mentioned is really what defines living to me. Contributing to the progress of society. It is a purpose worth living for, a reason to get up and out of bed every morning.

These are just my personal values, though. Gain as much knowledge as you can, pass it on to the next generation (don't necessarily need to have your own kids to accomplish this), and do your part to improve society.

eh, I am SUPPOSEDLY diagnosed with depression, though everyone who knows me agrees that is a load or horseshit, as I am cheerful to the off-the-meter extreme.

BUT if I were to possibly argree with the people (which I don't) and say I have depression (which I don't) then I would say that it is a large dose of seltf loathing and ability to view everything in a negative light, and feel "bad" if you ever feel good about yourself, and retaliate with mental abuse of your characteristics.
