  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I had one back in the early 90s. Decent car but it suffered from the same glaring flaw that so many other cars of its day suffered from. It was American. The quality of the car simply wasn't very good, and the American auto manufacturers simply didn't pay attention to the little details like quality. It was a screamer though.

As for my favorite....here, for your consideration is this.

A customized 1955 Cadillac. The only real changes made to it are the custom grille and the custom vents at the rear of the doors. It may have been lowered slightly and it has an absolutely staggering custom paint job. Its hard to tell from this picture but its really very nice.

Another favorite of mine comes from a much richer time in the evolution of automobiles where imagination and art were more important than side air bags and gas mileage.

In the early days of cars, auto manufacturers would allow customers to take delivery of a bare chassis from the factory that included only the frame, engine, transmission, suspension, wiring harness and a few other things. The body and interior were left completely off. The car would then be sent to a coach builder like Carmen Ghia or Bertone or Fisher Coach Works where they would build a custom body and interior for the customer. The cost was high but you received in return a car that absolutely no one else had.

This Chrysler built by Ghia is an example of that. Only ten were made.

Sadly, those days are over now. With all of the specialty engineering that is required to build a car including the safety elements and environmental issues, its no longer an option. And car manufacturers are unwilling to have their cars parted out and turned into someone else's idea of the perfect car. Not to mention the vast mine field of legal and liability issues that go along with such an endeavor. But back in the old days...if you had the cash you could have what you wanted and nobody else would have one just like it.
