If Either One of These Scenarios Are True There’s Big Trouble Brewing At The FBI

The evidence continues to bleed out and is pointing to a massive scandal about to erupt over the Barack Obama era of the FBI. The first dribbles came as Hillary Clinton got a pass on her email server scandal. She was cleared before the investigation was finished. Then there were the text messages between an agent and his mistress revealing deep bias against Donald Trump. The term “Secret Society” had now leaked into the news. Finally, there is the House Intelligence Committee memo about abuse of the FISA Court. What is next? Let the investigations begin.

During the financial crisis, the federal government bailed out banks it declared “too big to fail.” Fearing their bankruptcy might trigger economic Armageddon, the feds propped them up with taxpayer cash.

Something similar is happening now at the FBI, with the Washington wagons circling the agency to protect it from charges of corruption. This time, the appropriate tag line is “too big to believe.”

Yet each day brings credible reports suggesting there is a massive scandal involving the top ranks of America’s premier law-enforcement agency. The reports, which feature talk among agents of a “secret society” and suddenly missing text messages, point to the existence both of a cabal dedicated to defeating Donald Trump in 2016 and of a plan to let Hillary Clinton skate free in the classified e-mail probe.

If either one is true — and I believe both probably are — it would mean FBI leaders betrayed the nation by abusing their powers in a bid to pick the president.

Yeah, they're really flailing with this one. But Stumbler knows what I mean being a part of the secret society as well... ;) ;) *nod-nod*

AND THAT is exactly what that whole thing is about... Two folks at the FBI sarcastically making a joke about Trump's paranoia so what happens? The Reptards spin it into they were serious and got caught.

How's that working out? U.S. Marshals will NOT be taking over the FBI, CIA or even the YMCA. They do what they do, no more no less. Or don't folks know how the world works?

"Eat at the Y" actually used to be an advertisement slogan for a lesbian bar I used to go to in Cleveland that was situated on a fork of a road known as "the Y."
Texas Rangers are NOT F.B.I.. No other L.E. group in the nation is as well equipped to do what they do. In fact, all other L.E. groups "go to" the F.B.I. for the databases they maintain and ability to operate nationwide.

I love how people are acting like corruption is something new.

Newsflash, the government has been corrupt since it was a colonial one run by Great Brittain.

It was built on corruption. Corruption is within the fabric of it. And it always comes back to who has the connections, the money, and the power.

And has always been on both sides.

FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were concerned about being too tough on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the bureau’s investigation into her email practices because she might hold it against them as president, text messages released on Thursday indicated.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley released new messages between bureau officials Page and Strzok, who were having an affair and exchanged more than 50,000 texts with each other during the election.

“One more thing: she might be our next president,” Page texted Strzok on Feb. 25, 2016, in the midst of the presidential campaign, in reference to Clinton.

“The last thing you need [is] going in there loaded for bear,” she continued. “You think she’s going to remember or care that it was more [DOJ] than [FBI]?”

Strzok replied that he “agreed” and he had relayed their discussion with someone named “Bill.”

What are Adam Schiff, DOJ and the FBI trying to hide?

Rep. Adam Schiff has many talents, though few compare to his ability to function as a human barometer of Democratic panic. The greater the level of Schiff hot, pressured air, the more trouble the party knows it’s in.

Mr. Schiff’s millibars have been popping ever since the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, on which he is ranking Democrat, last week voted to make a classified GOP memo about FBI election year abuses available to every House member. Mr. Schiff has spit and spun and apoplectically accused his Republican colleagues of everything short of treason. The memo, he insists, is “profoundly misleading,” not to mention “distorted” and “political,” and an attack on the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He initially tried to block his colleagues from reading it. Having failed, he’s now arguing Americans can know the full story only if they see the underlying classified documents.

This is highly convenient, given the Justice Department retains those documents and is as eager to make them public as a fox is to abandon the henhouse. Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes had to threaten a contempt citation simply to get permission for his committee to gain access, and even then investigators had to leave Capitol Hill to view them, and were allowed only to take notes. Mr. Nunes has no authority to declassify them. The best he can do in his continuing transparency efforts is to summarize their contents. Only in Schiff land is sunshine suddenly a pollutant.

The Schiff pressure gauge is outmatched only by the Justice Department and the FBI, which are now mobilizing their big guns to squelch the truth. That included a Wednesday Justice Department letter to Mr. Nunes—written by Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd, designed as a memo to the media, copied to its allies in Washington, and immediately leaked to the public. And the department wonders why anyone doubts the integrity of all its hardworking professionals.

New texts show 'fix was in' for Clinton email probe

Newly revealed texts between Trump-bashing FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page show the “fix was in” during Hillary Clinton's email probe in 2016, Republican lawmakers say.

The latest batch of text messages between Strzok and Page, who were involved romantically, revealed their private conversations regarding Clinton -- and their concern about being too tough on her during the investigation into her private email system use. The text messages indicate they were wary of a backlash from Clinton if she were to win the presidential election.

“It doesn’t appear anyone wanted her charged,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said on Fox News' “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

    [IMG]Video
Rep. Jordan: FBI texts prove fix was in on Clinton probe
In the newly released texts from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, Page warned Strzok that Clinton “might be our next president,” in a Feb. 25, 2016 exchange.

“The last thing you need [is] going in there loaded for bear,” Page continued. “You think she’s going to remember or care that it was more [DOJ] than [FBI]?”

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Friday that he and congressional colleagues “all suspected the fix was in” on the Clinton probe, even before those messages were released. He also questioned what these revelations suggest about the ongoing special counsel probe into possible Trump associate collusion with Russia.

    [IMG]Video
Gowdy: Recovered FBI texts show the 'fix was in'
“Now we know the fix was in, and I think the logical thing is, if the fix was in on the Clinton investigation, and if these same people—the top people at the FBI—started and ran the Trump-Russia investigation, might there be some bad things going on there as well?” Jordan said on “Fox & Friends” Friday. “And as you look at these text messages, it sure looks like there is.”

Strzok and Page both worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team for a short period of time at the start of his Russia probe -- despite their apparent concerns, revealed in other texts released this week, that there was “no big there there.”

“I don’t like bias. I don’t like political bias and this was an incredibly politically charged case as was, and is, the Russia investigation,” Gowdy said. “So politics and political bias is even more important in a case like this. I don’t know why the left is straining to minimize the manifest bias that was exhibited by these agents. I just don’t get it.”

Another exchange between Strzok and Page dated July 1, 2016 referenced then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s decision to accept the FBI’s conclusion in the Clinton investigation. Lynch’s announcement came days after it was revealed that the attorney general and former President Bill Clinton had an impromptu meeting aboard her plane in Phoenix.

FBI officials Peter Strzok, left, and Lisa Page, right, exchanged more than 50,000 text messages during the 2016 presidential election.

“Timing looks like hell,” Strzok texted Page.

“Yeah, that is awful timing,” Page agreed. In a later message, she added: “It’s a real profile in couragw [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought.”

That text renewed Republican suspicions that top law enforcement officials at the time were expecting not to pursue charges against Clinton.

Strzok and Page exchanged some 50,000 text messages throughout the presidential election and the first year of the Trump administration -- many of them expressing anti-Trump views.

The Strzok-Page text messages renewed GOP concerns about how the Hillary Clinton case was handled. (AP)

This week, the Justice Department revealed that the FBI “failed to preserve” five months of text messages between Strzok and Page due to a technological glitch from Dec. 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017—the day Mueller was appointed to lead the special counsel investigation.

The gap in records covered a crucial period, raising suspicion among GOP lawmakers about how those messages disappeared.

But DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz later confirmed to Congress that his office has recovered texts from that time period by taking possession of “at least four” phones belonging to Strzok and Page.

    Oh fuck me Hush.

But since the chances of that are slime to none let's just recap shall we?

Obama wire tapped Trump tower. Nope never happened and even all the people Trump appointed admit that.

Its the unmasking the unmasking I tell ya. People in the Obama administration were illegally unmasking members of the Trump campaign to illegally spy on them and some of them are going to jail. Nope didn't happen and after the people in question testified to congress we never heard another thing about it.

James Comey illegally leaked his memos and we are going to file official complaints and have him investigated. Once again never happened.

More than 3 million people voted illegally in the last election which is the only reason Trump lost the popular vote. And we are going to appoint a special committee to get to the bottom of it and prove it. Well guess not. Let's just quietly disband the commission and pretend we tried.

Its Mueller. Its Mueller. He can't investigate Trump because he is biased and has too many conflicts of interest. But isn't Mueller a life long Republican? And just how a dispute over fees at a golf club constitute a conflict of interest? We will get back to you on that.

Its Uranium One. By God that's the biggest scandal and we are going to investigate because some guy who once owned stock in a uranium company donated $140 million to the Clinton Foundation. But didn't that guy make that donation and then sold is stock in the uranium company years before the Uranium One deal and even 18 months before Clinton became Secretary of State? How dare you try to bog us down with details when we are on a mission here.

And now its the great earth shattering worser than Watergate the whole FBI is trying to conduct a coup against Trump memo. Really?? Well where is it? And why won't Devin Nunes share it with the DOJ, FBI, or Senate Republicans? Does any of that make sense if they really have something worse than Watergate? And why do the players keep changing their stories?

I swear Hush I would think by now the Trump supporters around here would get sick and tired of the Trump and the Republicans getting them all excited about some big scandal just to have the rug pulled out from under them every time. But I guess they just never learn.

FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page may have used personal accounts to send official records to each other about the Hillary Clinton email probe in 2016 even as the bureau investigated her for a "similar" practice, according to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley.

“It appears that Strzok and Page transmitted federal records pertaining to the Clinton investigation on private, non-government services,” the Iowa Republican wrote in a Thursday letter to FBI Director Chris Wray.

He questioned whether that affected the bureau's treatment of the Clinton case.

“It is important to determine whether their own similar conduct was a factor in not focusing on and developing evidence of similar violations by Secretary Clinton and her aides,” Grassley said.

During the campaign, the FBI investigated Clinton’s use of a private email server instead of a secure, government email account while secretary of state. Then-FBI Director James Comey decided against recommending prosecution, but faulted Clinton and her associates for being “extremely careless” with classified information.

The revelation came as Grassley on Thursday released new messages between Page and Strzok, who were having an affair and exchanged more than 50,000 texts with each other during the election. A number of the texts have gotten attention for indicating their distaste for then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Some of those texts released Thursday indicate the agents were using personal accounts for government work.

FBI OFFICIALS WORRIED ABOUT BEING TOO TOUGH ON HILLARY CLINTON DURING EMAIL INVESTIGATION, TEXTS SHOW

In an April 10, 2016 text, Strzok messaged Page to say, “Gmailed you two drafts of what I’m thinking of sending Bill, would appreciate your thoughts."

In other messages, on June 3, Strzok told Page: "Dude. It’s all unclassified. ... Type on home computer and email to yourself."

The context of the discussions is unclear from the raw texts, but Grassley suggested they were related to the Clinton case.

    [IMG] Video
Rep. Jordan: FBI texts prove fix was in on Clinton probe
Grassley wrote in his letter to Wray that Strzok and Page, in some texts, also referred to “related conversations they were having via iMessage, presumably on their personal Apple devices.”

“Has the FBI asked Mr. Strzok or Ms. Page to voluntarily provide any information from their personal accounts?” Grassley asked Wray. “If so, have they been cooperative? If the FBI has not asked, please explain why not.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley is digging deeper into Peter Strzok and Lisa Page's text messages. (AP)

The Republican senator also asked, “Has the FBI performed any voluntary searches of Strzok or Page’s non-government phones or email accounts to determine whether federal records exist?”

Clinton's practices to avoid government systems, however, would likely have gone well beyond these officials' use of personal devices. Clinton set up a 'homebrew' email server and exclusively used personal systems for government business while secretary of state, with classified information often being transmitted through them.

Strzok was a top figure in the bureau’s Clinton investigation, taking part in the FBI interviews of the candidate and some of her top aides. He also worked on the special counsel’s probe into Russia and the Trump campaign but was reassigned after the anti-Trump texts were discovered on his phone.

Page also briefly worked on the special counsel investigation.

In a new text exchange released Thursday, Strzok and Page seemed concerned about being too tough on Clinton because she might hold it against them as president.

    Strzok replied that he “agreed.”

Republicans, arguing some top officials at the FBI are politically biased against Trump, have seized on the texts.

“Now we know the fix was in, and I think the logical thing is, if the fix was in on the Clinton investigation, and if these same people—the top people at the FBI—started and ran the Trump-Russia investigation, might there be some bad things going on there as well?” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Friday on “Fox & Friends.” “And as you look at these text messages, it sure looks like there is.”
