You are correct as far as chromosomes and the effects they have on gender, but is in no way stops birth defects. For example there are males that are born with girl insides but have a penis, there are also females that are born with no female insides. Just because you are born male or female does not mean certain body parts are "made" incorrectly. DNA helps create the actual cell structure and can "mix up" (for lack of going into too much detail) how it creates the cells around other cells. Some women are born completely female other than having a penis. Also people are (this is fairly rare) born with both outside parts. Basically the way you make it sound so simple is not correct at all; DNA and how it helps cells create a living being is way more complex than your idea of black and white, there is a lot of gray areas (which is absolutely needed for evolution to work).

So basically: to say that all shemales are men trying to be women, (implants, etc) is just, well... silly? (or maybe an uneducated guess on your part?)
