Sexually bi and romantically straight characterizes a big percentage of men, in general. I have always been this way, but I have never really understood it.

Well, in my case, I’ve always been pretty much straight. I was married and we raised two kids. Ultimately she ran off with someone, and I decided I’d delve into the gay side more. And, as a hetero male, I always took the male role of course, and as a bi man, I wanted to experience pleasing a man in the female role. To clarify, straight men who have sex with other men are certainly bisexual. Whether or not they choose to label themselves as such is irrelevant. We are what we are biologically, and we are what we do as human beings. Men who have sex exclusively with men are gay. Men who have sex with both men and women are bisexual. The gray areas include men who prefer men, but stay with women for the sake of appearances. I also know quite a few women who sleep with women in spite of the fact that they're married. Are they lesbians? No. They are simply bisexual.

 

Whether or not they choose to label themselves as such is irrelevant. I don't agree that it's irrelevant as that person is misleading others of what you are. Which I find to be very important if you're dating them or married to them such as my husband knows that I'm bisexual. I didn't hide it from him that it was my sister Toni who I was fooling around with. The ones that have problem with labels it's because they wish to be deceitful to others. You don't walk into a supermarket and everything has no labels on it how do you know what you are purchasing if there's no labels.
