I'm probably beating a dead horse with this comment, but I'm going to post anyway. Getting rid of the second amendment, will not. I repeat will not, prevent crimes commited with a firearm. If someone really wants to commit a crime with such a device. They will find the means to commit such a crime. But say all firearms are collected and destroyed. Crimes with bats or knives, or vehicles, will increase. Criminals will always exist, they way they commit crimes will just change. Just my opinion.

Let's say that the US bans and confiscates all guns. If the bad guys can bring in tons of drugs, what makes you think that they couldn't add a few tons of firearms to the next shipment? There has NEVER been an anti-gun law that lowered crime rates. It is one of the biggest lies that any gun grabber will tell you. I have a number of guns, and I enjoy shooting them in a responsible manner, mostly at paper targets. I also reload my own ammo.

 

It's not the drug runners and Mexican cartels or the scary Canadians I'm worried about....

You know what's I'm sort but as ling as criminals have guns I will. My family was not brought around guns we lived In a NICE part of town. But this nice town is surrounded by the big city. I was at advanced auto and what do I see in the parking lot? A fucking drug deal what if he had pulled out an ak47 where would I be with my .45 no where I'd be cowering inside saying help me because the cops would be to late. I had my .45 in my jacket and I didnt go outside untill they finished calling the cops and such. Last time I was there the Tim hortans two doors down was robbed. Then I saw the guy running away and we came within feet of eachother. I dont have a small tool I just like too be safe our border too the south is letting in these drug cartels and what the fuck does Obama do about it? Just threatens too sue Arizona for doing something completely within their rights (10th and 11th amendment)

 

When Florida legalized carry conceled he crime rates went down significantly

 

Can you document that? My impression is that crime declined, but not significantly.

Cops are just there to clean up the mess after your dead. The last time I called the cops they took so long arriving I could have flayed, roasted, and eaten the other person involved (for all you cannibal fetishes out there)

Sorry my postings are few and far inbetween. The terrorists still haven't learned yet. We every now and again have to remind them our sticks are bigger. Anyway..... I am an Infantryman currently serving in the army. I also am licensed to carry a concealed weapon. I have unfortunatly have had to draw my weapon before. I was seeing a women, and met here at a resturant in Detroit on night after work. And to keep a long story short. A man keep harrrasing her in the resturant. Eventually we left. I made sure she got to her car. She was in her car, and I headed back towards my truck. He had followed us out to the parking lot and proceded to harrass her again. She called the police and I went over to see what the problem was. The man was pounding on her window with his fist. I told him to just leave. The cops had been called. He pulled out a knife from his pocket and headed towards me. I eventually drew my weapon. And he dropped his knife. I carry zip cuffs in my truck and detained him. The police did not show up for 20 minutes. Had I not been carrying the situation could have been worse. The guy was bigger then me and I'm 6ft 2 and 225 lbs.
What would you anti-gun indidviduals have done in that situation. Someone could have been seriously injured or even killed. Seems to me guns ain't to bad after all.

Maybe. But what is a predominately white crime or a predominately black crime. I don't really know what he was gonna do. Was he just gonna steal her wallet or something worse. Now I don't believe I'm a hero in anyway shape or form. But if that had been someone I didn't know. I still think I would have stepped in. Distant Lover I don't know you and I've never met you. But if something terrible was happening to you. I'd do everything I could to prevent it. Even tho we don't see eye to eye on our Secound Admendment rights.
