Bullshit on all counts. My grandmother taught me how to be safe and responsible with guns and how to shoot when I was eight years old and I have been shooting and hunting ever since and still do. Not just punching holes in paper. And with the exception of your bushmaster and machine guns I have shot more guns than the Marines have in their arsenal And finally anyone stupid enough to tell a lie like "I never miss" sure hasn't shot very much and is probably lying about being a Marine as well.

I don't see how the gun or ammunition manufacturers could be help responsible for the actions of others. If the accident is due to a defect then yes, they are liable. If there was no defect in manufacturing, then it should be the gun owner that is liable.

Ok how about the insane idea that you can have the "safety" of a semi-automatic pistol on the trigger and no place else on the gun? Or how about guns that discharge when they are dropped? Especially. when that problem was supposed to be solved more than 100 years ago. Should gun manufactures be held accountable for those defects? Because thanks to the NRA they are immune from lawsuits for their defective products. A protection no other industry in the US enjoys.

Your ignorance is beyond profound. Its downright stupid. Glock especially has no other external safety except on the trigger and yet they encourage and even concealed carry classes encourage people to keep their Glock's loaded with a live round in the chamber. Which is why so many toddlers are able to fire them. And also why gun accidents among people in law enforcement have skyrocketed since they switched over from revolvers to semi-automatic pistols.

And you really ought to try reading what I post before you make such a fool of yourself. GunFAIL usually has several examples a week of especially semi-automatic pistols discharging when they were dropped. And going clear back to the early 1900's gun manufactures worked diligently to solve that problem with all handguns, rifles and shotguns. Hell I don't think you can even make a Colt .45 1911 go off accidentally even if you dropped it on the floor and kicked it across the room.

And yes thanks to the NRA and their flunkies US gun makers do have immunity from lawsuits.

Only 14 shootings this holiday weekend here...surprisingly slow. May need more guns.

Look familiar? The TSA Blog used this photo for its two-week compilation covering the period of 3/20-4/2/17, during which time TSA agents across the country discovered that 112 Responsible Gun Owners had somehow "forgotten" these weapons in their carry-on bags.

Why own a assault weapon or military grade weapon let's think about that for sec. As a citizen with out a ffl one can not own a assault rifel because they are fully automatic only semiautomatic can be owned by the average citizen. And the hand gun can be kept hidden on a person for there protection and the protection of there family. Im not Rambo if I was with my family at the store and some crazy pulled a gun to rob the place I would try to get out if it wasn't possible I would find a place to hide my family and pull my pistol and be prepared to defend myself

Well, let me tell you what Stumbler' going to say. It's the NRA's fault, Ted Nugent is evil, guns go off on their own, especially Glocks and he can out shoot anyone on this site.

According to Reuters: Michigan State House approves carrying concealed guns without a permit in a move that twelve other states have already made. The bill now must clear the Senate, before being signed by the governor. The legislation "levels the playing field for honest people", commented Michigan State Representative Michele Hoitenga.

Just from the past few GunFAILS but there are lots lots more.

The next day, on the opposite coast, a friendly Responsible Gun OwnerTM and concealed carry permit holder accidentally dropped his little friend in the Dunkin’ Donuts in Coconut Creek. The floor of the donut shop, which is not licensed to carry firearms irresponsibly fired the weapon, striking a 55-year-old woman, more likely there for donut holes than bullet holes. But what’s a patriotic citizen to do? The concealed carry permit holder was merely exercising his right to keep drop and bear accidentally discharge arms. And at least he did what his concealed carry permit required him to do in such a situation. That is, carry his gun out of the establishment, and conceal himself elsewhere, before the police arrived.

    1. (LINK REMOVED), 2/11/17: Police in Coconut Creek are investigating what was believed to be an accidental shooting at a donut shop Saturday morning. Officials say the incident took place inside the Dunkin’ Donuts off State Road 7 south of Johnson Road around 8:30 AM. Initial evidence showed a man inside may have dropped a firearm out of his clothing when hit the ground and went off. A 55-year-old woman was struck and taken to an area hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The man left the scene in a white four door Mazda. The man, 38-year-old Randy Barroso, later surrendered to police along with his lawyer, officials said. Barroso was cooperative and gave a statement to detectives saying the shooting was unintentional, police said. He has a concealed carry permit and does not have a criminal arrest record, police said. Police arrested Barroso for culpable negligence and he was booked into the Broward County jail on $500 bond. Dunkin' Donuts issued a statement, saying in part that "the safety and well-being of crew members and customers are our top priority. We are working with our franchisee who is cooperating fully with the police investigating this incident."
LINK REMOVED), 2/19/17: The grandmother of a 4-year-old who was shot Sunday night in Memphis has been charged. Diane Nellums was charged with child abuse and neglect after police say her three-year-old grandson shot his four-year-old brother inside a home on Mirror Avenue in Frayser. Memphis Police said they initially showed up to the house just before 8 PM Sunday night after a report someone had fired shots at the house. "At the time they were investigating you heard another pop. Like I said, all the other police were there and they ran in the house and found a child had been shot," said neighbor Chris Hill. Police said the child shot his brother in the arm. The injured victim is expected to be okay. Nellums told officers she came out of the house and fired several shots in the ground to scare off whoever was shooting at their house. Initial information said she put the gun in a lock box but did not lock it. In an affidavit WREG obtained Monday, police said she left the gun in plain view in the living room. The three-year-old picked it up and dropped it, accidentally shooting his four-year-old brother.

2/19/17: The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office tells us that two jail deputies were injured after a gun was accidentally fired. Deputies say that they believe the incident happened early Sunday morning, a little after midnight, at a residence on Doud Circle in Hilton. They say that the gun had reportedly just been field stripped and cleaned, which deputies tell us was done while the gun was not loaded, and the gun was loaded after. After the cleaning, deputies say they believe the gun was dropped by one of the jail deputies. The trigger was grabbed as it was falling and it went off. They tell us that the jail deputy who reportedly dropped the gun and attempted to catch it was shot in the hand and leg. The other jail deputy was hit by a fragment in the lower leg. Fortunately their injuries are not considered life threatening. Deputies say that no charges are expected.

2/22/17: Thomas James Herzberg, 59, Hale, sustained non-life threatening injuries when he was accidentally shot in the leg on Feb. 22, at 11:03 AM. The Iosco County Sheriff’s Department (ICSD) responded to the Lakeview Drive home of Herzberg and his wife, Joann, who advised that her husband had accidentally shot himself in the kitchen. According to the ICSD, Iosco EMS arrived on scene and determined that the bullet of the .38-caliber Derringer pistol, owned by Herzberg, appeared to have entered the back of the victim’s calf from an upward trajectory and did not exit the leg. Based on the ICSD report, this was consistent with Herzberg’s statement that he had dropped the weapon, causing it to discharge upwards. Herzberg reported that he was preparing to leave the house with his wife and stopped in the kitchen to load his pistol, after which he accidentally dropped the gun, which discharged upon striking the ground. Herzberg was transported to Tawas St. Joseph Hospital, where he was treated for the injury.

I have a high powered pellet gun in .20 caliber. It has a two stage trigger and I started trimming it down
to increase sensitivity. Well I got it to be feather light and was real happy with my modification. One day I
leaned it against the window moulding and was sitting at the table, and it went off with no one around it...
scuffed a skidmark in the moulding and put a .20 size hole in the ceiling. I never brought it inside again loaded.

A driller I worked for tried to customize the trigger pull on a 22.250, which is no caliber to be fucking with himself, and it would fire by touching the trigger guard. And then one day on the way home he saw some geese in a field, pulled over to take a shot at them, and that fucking gun went off inside car when he closed the bolt and shot a hole through the driver side door. And then he admitted maybe he fucked up by trying to customize the trigger pull himself. Yeah ya think you fucking idiot? But I don't know what he did about that because that was my last day with that idiot.

I've never met a driller that I liked. Served him right. And it's illegal to shoot geese with a rifle. Imagine all the other shortcuts he used
      while drilling wells...

I felt comfortable tweaking my pellet gun because it's a single shot, but I screwed it up. It was sent back for seals replacement and they
put the trigger back to specs. I still don't bring it back inside loaded, though.

I didn't know you had ever worked in the patch or if I did I guess I forgot. What did you do? And I actually knew lots of drillers I really liked and was one myself.

But I know exactly what you mean about messing with trigger pulls. I have never seen that work out well even on guns where the triggers are specifically made to be adjusted for lighter pulls. They still seemed to discharge unexpectedly. And I also never saw the sense in doing it in the first place. What difference can it make when the whole thing about good shooting is being able to squeeze the trigger with a smooth steady pull.
