    Left side:Civilian AR15 lower reciever(every AR15)
Right side:M16 fully automatic lower reciever.(notice the milled put pocket, the auto sear, and the difference in the hammers.)
    nfa-ar-m16-01.jpg
That's the difference and it ends the arguement that a AR15 can be turned into a M16 by changing parts.

Students walk out of class in protest of gun violence.

    Dear "Ban Gun" teenagers.
11 teens die a day from texting and driving.
Let's ban your cell phone too.
    Also, your car.....

Hey shadow walker since you claim to me such a great expert on guns now show me a picture of the safety on a Glock. Let's see you do that if you are really such an expert.

Well let's see here because I think we are in agreement. It is illegal for teens or anyone for that matter to text while driving. So let's make it illegal for teens to shoot guns. We also require teens to take driver's education courses pass a driving test and have a drives license. So let's require that for teens with guns as well. We also require cars to be registered, licensed, and insured so lets to that with guns. We also don't allow Formula 1 race cars on the roads because they are too fast and dangerous for anyone but professional drivers. So let's also apply that philosophy to assault weapons.

See, who says we can't agree on anything.

An 18 year old has a three year waiting period on the purchase of a can of beer, but no waiting period on the purchase of a rifle. Why is that?

Hey shadow walker since you claim to be the expert on this and you claim its hypocrisy let me ask you a few questions and we will se who the hypocrite is.

Can that 18 year-old in the military keep that assault weapon in the barracks not in a combat zone?

Can that 18 year-old in the military walk around the base with it anytime they want to unsupervised?

Are there any rules and regulations restricting when and where that 18 year-old in the military can have access to that assault weapon and ammunition?

Does that 18 year-old in the military have to pass training with that assault weapon? And what happens to that 18 year-old if they can't pass the training?

What happens to that 18 year-old in the military if they are careless with that assault weapon of violate any rules and regulations of their access to that assault weapon?

Now if you really know anything about 18 year-olds in the military and assault weapons you will answer those questions. But if you are just a phony hypocrite you won't.

I have always said that firearms education should be taught in our schools just like drivers ed.

However, the liberal/Democrats will not have it...

Many high schools no longer have drivers education classes. In fact most don't. And its a lie to say that liberal/Democrats don't want gun safety taught in schools. Its actually most parents, most teachers, most administrators, and most school boards because of the danger of accidents. Just like the two accidental discharges on the same day. One of which was supposed to be a gun safety lesson.

And what about all the other things your analogy of teens texting and driving and guns? Why do you ignore them? And do you want to jump in on 18 year-olds in the military having access to assault weapons as opposed to selling assault weapons to just any 18 year-old that walks in off the street. Or 18 year-olds buying assault weapons at gun shows or off the internet with no background check?

We should adopt a policy similar to Switzerland's....when you turn 18 (& have proven yourself responsible by not getting arrested and in general being a good citizen), the government will issue you a rifle, bullets, & training if needed.....no wonder their crime rate is damn near non-existent....

In 2016, the defence ministry estimated that 2 million privately owned guns are in circulation, which given a population of 8.3 million corresponds to a gun ownership rate of around 24 guns per 100 residents.[6] This is roughly a quarter of the rate in the United States, and lower than that in the neighbouring countries of Germany, and Austria, but about the double of Italy and France.[5]

To carry a firearm in public or outdoors (and for a militia member to carry a firearm other than his issued weapons while off-duty), a person must have a gun carrying permit (German: Waffentragbewilligung, French: permis de port d'armes, Italian: permesso di porto di armi; art. 27 WG/LArm), which in most cases is issued only to private citizens working in occupations such as security.[2] It is, however, quite common to see a person in military service to be en route with his rifle, albeit unloaded.[10] The issue of such exceptional permits are extremely selective.[clarification needed]

Ok....we have licensing here....also, btw, in case you have forgotten, US soldiers are not allowed to carry firearms on base (the exceptions being guards at the gate and MPs)! They are soldiers, every single one of them should be armed by definition. Maybe the Fort Hood massacre would not have been so costly. Thank you, President Clinton for instituting "safe zones" that are anything but.....

you need to learn about the truth about who made bases gun free because you are off by far
try 1992 when atwood signed it into being under george h w bush http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a272176.pdf
some people love to go to 190-14 to put the blame on clinton but that was not an entire effect at all because it only effected the ARMY but that one was in reaction to fix parts of 5210.56 which bush ran through
a little knowledge is a good thing

Okay, maybe a history lesson is in order here. The US was not designed for a standing Army. The ones that founded this country wanted the citizenry to be as a large, armed army. Circa 1821 there was actually a law passed that every (fighting) male was to have in their posession (effectively) 21 rounds of ammunition at all times. This was still in the time of the musket & ball shot.
After our civil war, things started to change. Bullets started being more accurate, new technologies made shooting less deadly for the one pulling the trigger. And lastly, new firearms designs made high rates of accurate fire possible.
The founders understood 2 things. If this country kept a standing army, soldiers had to be PAID. This was going to mean taxes (something they wanted to desperately avoid). And that people fighting for their own homes, and their families fought harder. So, instead of a standing army, it was decided to make the citizenry the army. Even as crazy as Hitler was, and even with some support inside the country, he still would not authorize a full-scale invasion to the US. The amount of weapons owned by the citizens scared him to much!
The supreme court has ruled on the side of citizens being able to defend themselves time and again. Historically, though, this right is also what is to keep our government in good behavior. If "we the people" all stand together, there is to be no more tyranny. If tyranny starts from our government, we have a right to complain. If the government tries to enslave an armed populace, things get really bad really quick!
To sum it up, the 2nd Amendment is there to protect the rest of our rights as citizens, with force if needed - from those countries who would invade / enslave us or our own government.
Lastly, when the Constitution was written, every household had a rifle to hunt with. Deny them weapons, and they could not eat through the winter. Yes, times are diffirent now. But the heritage is there.
