I tend to use cute myself, probably because I'm a parent. I won't use cute as an adjective on this site anymore.

 

I told a girl once that she was cute, and she replied " puppy dogs are cute!" so needless to say i didnt get a date haha. now i tell my wife, hey babe that looks really hot on you, she will turn around a change clothes haha. women are weird .

I think this was well said. I can understand both points of view and the differences In perception given off and taken depending on that girl's ego. It can actually apply to guys as well. Even though I understand what both sides are saying In this thread, I think for the most part, anyone who finds "cute" offensive IF you KNEW It was meant as a compliment, has an Indoctrinated Image-complex, which Is probably not even their fault they've just heard a marketed word-standard and seen false perceptions around them so long which supposedly speak for the majority of waht "beauty" should be, aorund them, that they started to believe It. A cute woman or girl, or whichever gender even, will always outlast whatever Is considered a hot woman or guy of the moment.. def mentally! and at some point slowly but surely physically. Hot though of In modern culture Is such a flash In the pan, a peaked-perfectionistic-Image (falsely maintained basically by outside-opinion and perception), that It only starts to show that much faster when you are anything less, you're living a flash In the pan, Impossible lie. It's more truth to say the majority of the world, If not everyone, Is truly only "cute" with all the make up off and the stereotypes and standards thrown out the window (no media pushing once look or race of weight brackett or word above the other).. and that's a good thing In fact It's hot to age gracefully, not just In looks but since this Is what the topic and word Is based on... It's hot to become "cuter" If you can say that. Not the other way around Imo. All these words are placeholders for security and or/ Insecurity mentally and physically. I usualy call a woman cute when I'm attracted to her and not sure weather or not it's apporprite to call her sexy. Beautiful is reserved for women I'm in a relationship with and I don't like the word "hot".

 

I dont know why any woman would be mad about "cute". I'm cute so that does'nt bother me at all,Ive also been called beautiful, and hot. but cute to me is more than our looks, it complimants our whole package.
I think being cute includes our personality, we are funny, sweet, pretty,sassy and much more.
one of my most favorite men in the world always says that i'm the cutest thing in the world. to me thats a fabulous compliment and its said with such affection. and im not offend by the words cute or thing.

 

To me cute is sexy when they aren't aware that they are.
