Ysestrdsy was incredibly busy. It was bitterly cold (-40 C with the wind) and I was driving around all day running errands. I had a wax appointment and then had to do a couple of returns at the mall. I bought a new mouse and then went to my dads to take down his tree. Then brought him back to my house and we celebrated his bday. So today I’m staying in all day and staying warm and doing as little as possible.

 

It was a good day.

Walked cherrypup twice around block (morning and afternoon). Before lunch I drove to local battery store to make a purchase then grabbed lunch at Arby’s.

Remainder of the day it was me around the house.

I’m watching KC Chiefs game right now and it’s halftime. Score is 13-6 Chiefs. I’m pleased so far but the team had a missed opportunity within last 4 min. One more half to go before celebration.

It was marvelous in its sameness. Got up about 45 minutes early, but not tired all day. Lazed about, had pizza and watched movies:

Finished up my 2nd watching of The Two Jakes - I gave it short shrift when it first came out - after the epically awesome 'Chinatown' (about 2 or 3 on my Top 5 movie list), I originally thought it was too silly, and it still is a bit over the top in parts, but I enjoyed it a LOT more today.

2nd viewing of 'Atomic Blonde'. This is just flat-out an excellent movie. I'm more convinced than ever that the long tracking shot (no edits) of the 'Staircase Fight' is the best tracking shot ever. Towards the end of it, when Charlize Theron is huffing, puffing, and gasping for air, and weak in the legs, that wasn't all acting - an exhaustive, action packed scene - where one major mistake would cause a do-over. Fucking incredible!

A fine Sunday.

Gone are the days when we went down to Breckenridge to ski all day.
So it was a wonderful day.

 

Nice, warm and relaxing. Spent the day having a few beers with the locals here in Campeche planning some fly fishing for tarpon this week. Life is good . Glad to see temps back home will not get above 0F lol.

 

just enjoying night 4 of my 17 days off work. done going out for the day/night. bout to take a catnap, eat supper and watch a movie or something.

Being semi retired has it's benefits.

 

It's been a good, quiet Monday - a couple of interactions with clients and I wrote the rest of the day - submitted a blog for publishing. Very similar to most days, really - which is fine by me.

 

It was a long busy and frustrating day.

Phone calls were literally one after another. Went to my mgr to call out colleagues who were not picking up weight. Felt like my voice was blown off.

On top of that my voice was sore all day mainly because I was yelling during last nights game.

It was good! Work went fast now to relax

 

Yesterday was good. I planned on accomplishing a lot more in the evening, but friends ended up visiting. It was a good thing.

Tonight, its just me, yoga, and my work list afterwards!

 

It was normal day as usual.

Dealt with phone calls pretty much one after another. Chatted with colleague and had lengthy convos.

I’m laying on couch listening to radio as my local college basketball team is playing a rivalry game. I will write as well.

 

It's been kind of a cool and funny day - we got a call-in for service that nobody could find in our database, but I eventually found them, and we had done a one-off project for them 3 years ago.

No biggie, but there's a person in our organization that I had seen on my periphery, and had limited communication with, that I called. I won't give particulars, but I had presumed it was a man. For this issue, I felt that with a phone call through Teams we could sort the issue out faster. No man at all, but a very attractive woman. LOL.

After that, I finished my back east blog for publication tomorrow.

Kind of a fun day.

 

Scheduled an appointment to get the work done on my injured hand to be able to get the cast off, they need to reset 2 small bones in the wrist and put a pin in a bone to my pinky to repair the broken bone, some nerve damage might never be fixed but at least I will be able to use it. The ring I ready and a friend will take me to get it Friday but the ask will have to wait till after the surgery heals next month.

 

It was quite the regular day. Some might think that boring, but to me it's a blessing - I love my regular, normal days. Nothing really good but nothing even slightly bad - I'll take that every time. I had my back east blog published and found a topic for my L.A. blog and did a little research.

I finally remembered to activate the free debit card that California governor 'Spawn O' The Devil' sent me - it has $350 on it for whatever reason. I'll spend it - no citizen's protest! Fuck it - my taxes are high - I'll take the $350. GOD, I hope this clown never becomes President!

That said, it's been a fine day.

 

It was normal day again.

Phones calls were slow till later in the day when it got busy like usual. Dealt with a headache through out the day. Chatted with colleague and we had laughs. Got a bit upset before shift ended due to constant calls. Had to buy lunch at work as my food that was brought in didn’t suffice me.

It was normal day.

Phone calls were not to busy today and was able to complete some training. Chatted with my colleague and made her laugh at a mistake she made. Found out news about another coworker who hasn’t been picking up her weight and honestly wasn’t surprised one bit. Printed off my past staffing company W2 this morning.

I’m laying on couch writing and watching Call of Duty league. Might play a game later on.

 

It's been a fine day - did my regular thing and wrote. It's only a minor irritation, but sinus issues have plagued me my entire life, and today (although nothing hurts at all) I'm having one of those days where when I talk out loud I can hear it booming in my head - a right ear thing. No biggie.

 

Cross my heart and hope to die. Stick a needle in my eye.
