It's been great for the most part - dealing with a little physical pain that I am not about to go into. I wrote, and I'm so far ahead in my blog posts that I fucked off a lot - I figure around 52% of my day. I had nice interactions with clients and helped them out, so overall, it's been good.

Happy enough with that.

 

It was a normal day for me.

Standard daily tasks like usual and was back on the phones. No lunch again.

Walked cherrypup around block after work then cleaned house. Grabbed dinner at Chipotle. Remainder of the day it was me around the house watching videos, listening to music and writing.

I’m laying on couch and undecided about my night. To say it’s typical night for me on Friday.

Found out band I listen to is coming to town in June. Need to decide about going or not.

 

Woke up to low 40's outside knowing I had to do real work for the day, we loaded out almost 1000 round bales, so knowing how cold it was I prestarted my truck so it would be nice and warm by the time I got in, drove out to the back pasture and started the loaders as I waited for my employee and my loaders heater warmed it up, I did start his too but with no glass in the windows it did not help. I am waiting on Celia with a fire going and food ready because Fridays are always busy at work and she will be hungry and cold, it is 43 and dropping.

 

Yesterday kicked my ass. Holy cow. I came home and crashed. We ordered in and watched The Last of Us.

 

Yesterday was GREAT! Good news at work and took care of a few projects at home and on the boat. Its a quiet morning today, so I’m feeling the same thing happening!

I love taking care of business!!

 

Yesterday Sucked! Business is Terrible...worst I've seen in 10 years!! Nobody is remodeling their home right now or buying flooring. This economy Sucks and my company is starting to Threaten to Let some Sales people Go to lower overhead costs. You just Never know when you're the one getting the Axe!!!

 

It was a routine day.

Started off early when I got up before 6 am to wash clothes. Later went to put gas in car then grocery shopping at Walmart. Before 11 am drove to sporting store to look for Chiefs merchandise. Got lunch at Wendy’s before coming home.

Walked cherrypup around block twice (morning and afternoon).

Remainder of the day it was me around the house. For dinner bought pizza from Little Caesars.

I’m laying on couch listening to music. Looking to play game. It’s a normal night me around the house.

 

It's been a wonderful Saturday. The pain I had yesterday (which is a fairly rare but recurring thing) has 90% gone away, had some menial chores to take care of, but lazed most of my day away doing one of my favorite things: watching movies.

Watch Kong: Skull Island for the second time - great movie.
I figured I would be watching Godzilla: King of Monsters for the second time, but everything here is absolutely new to me. How did I miss watching this before? I'm halfway through, but loving it.

This is what I want from a Saturday.

 

Cold as hell again this morning but a friend invited me fishing, he took me to a small lake that had just been stocked with rainbow trout so it was way too easy but we had fun. On the way home we stopped off so I could look at wood burning stoves for the bedroom, no central heat so it is the only option when the power goes out if I want Celia to keep staying nights here, I found one she will love. Wood pellet burning, programable thermostat, self feeding, and will be in a corner to keep us warm but not awake(at least not because of the fire light), they deliver and install it tomorrow as well as bringing 100 bags of pellets. But it is Saturday night and she is still at work so I am here sitting on my butt waiting for her to get home, I did get asked to apply for a county job and the farm runs its self so I am pondering it.

 

Got a few things done! Didn't hurt myself. It was an OK day!

 

Today was great! I played video games and ate good food and pretty much just hung out with my kid. I went braless all day, which usually means it’s a good day lol

 

It was a blah day.

It's been a fine Sunday - very similar to yesterday - no chores, no errands, just laxing around watching movies. I can't believe I keep finding these (seemingly) high profile movies that I sort of figured I'd seen.

I was thrilled to watch 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' for the first time. Excellent! I don't usually pay attention to the opening credits, so at the end I was surprised that it was directed by Ron Howard and written by (among several others) the great Lawrence Kasdan (Silverado, Body Heat, The Big Chill - all of which he also directed - among others).

We got a taste of early Han, and an origin story of the main factors that made his part of the world in the early Star Wars films. Well done - not a 'winking at the audience' exposition at all.



Quite an enjoyable day.

 

Extremely productive, I walked from the bedroom to the bathroom, and then to the kitchen. I fed the chickens and gave them water, Celia was kind of freaked out that I already owned a brooder plate, waterers, feeders, and other chicken needs. It warmed up so the coops are ready when the birds are and since a dozen organic eggs is selling for $10/ dozen in the stores even Ce4lia is asking if we need more birds. The new stove should be here tomorrow so just in time for it to warm up at night, now I just need to buy an AC for at least the bedroom.

 

Weird. Normal. Weirdly normal.

 

Pretty uneventful. Day off. Just shopping for a new dining room set, played with the kids. Goofed off on some PC games.

 

EXTREMELY productive

 

Yesterday was grand! Hung out with the kid! We made a pasta dinner and watched The Last of Us and played video games. I didn’t get to see my dad though because my kid was coughing a bit and his friend has covid, so we have to see how that goes.

 

Overall it was a shitty day.

Started off me leaving my lunch at home and buying expensive food in break area. Afterwards they day got even worse when it came to unemployment money. Finally got a chance to call about money owed. Don’t get much time during the day with a 30 min lunch and two 10 min breaks with two 10 hr days.

Got ahold of someone only to find out that i really owe 1,200 dollars. Tax refund got snatched by state. This doesn’t include paying H&R Block 200 to do my taxes. So in loss it’s been so far 1,400 dollars. On top of that got hung up when representative wouldn’t transfer me to a manager.

To say my temper went from 1 to 10. This was totally unacceptable.

Finally got a hold of some to explain issue and frustation since money was deposited over a year ago. Plus was told it was mine. I’m supposed to be engaged by manager but waiting for response.

Tomorrow I’m calling local Senator office again as they were closed. I will be asking for names and calling out anyone who works for state. I have been screwed by my state ever since being unemployed.

As of work it’s the same BS as usual. One call after another with no let up. Plus deal with manager who should be fired.

Chatted with colleague next me which helped. We had laughs at my expense.

Walked cherrrypup around block. Tomorrow is her birthday. She will be 2 years old. Who would have think having a dog. It will be 2 years in May for me.

Im laying on couch and it will be a chill night. Done with writing but will pick up or listen to music.

 

It's been fine for a Monday. Did my usual writing thing and got my L.A. blog up on our website. Discussed two different prospects with the boss on teams chat - it's always been great that we both size-up people the same way, so we had very funny exchanges.

Continued with my back east Wednesday blog and was very pleased with myself using the Charlton Heston flick 'The Naked Jungle' as a perfect analogy for cyber-criminals - in the movie, Chuck battles millions of Army Ants.

Not a bad Monday at all.
