Today was fine. I am currently baking cookies with my kid. He brings cookies to work for the girl he likes lol.

 

Long but now relaxing

 

It was a busy day.

Phone calls were constant like usual.

Got confirmation about in person job interview tomorrow at 3 pm. I will be leaving early.

Walked cherrypup around block.

Im laying on couch and will play game soon.

Tomorrow I nave a meetup event at 4:30 pm at bar and grill. Will head there when job interview is complete.

 

I was feeling really run down today and then I realized I’ve hardly eaten in 2 days, so I had a salmon Caesar salad. And now I’m eating pie. Because all pie is good pie.

 

Today was annoying. My company sucks balls. And not in the good way one might suck balls. I tried to instigate a revolt but my coworkers are scaredy cats.

 

It was a good day.

As of work it was business like normal.

Got off of work at 1:30 pm then headed to AMC theater to buy me a nerdy item. Afterwards I headed to job interview and arrived 30 min early. Overall it went well and only had to chat with team lead.

Later on I went to meetup event and had a good time. Met new people and chatted with regulars. Talked with a women I know (added me on FB) and have a possible dog event setup in the future. Sent her a message as a follow up to express interest. I also met another woman that pointed out how tall I am.

I also spoke with another woman that forward my resume to a company. This company just posted job position on Linkedin today and asked to view my resume.

I’m laying on couch relaxing.

I will say my life has been has been on upswing with these meetup events. I’m hoping it continues.

 

It was a normal day.

Phone calls were constant. Found out about a mistake I made recently and got it corrected.

I’m sitting on couch and will be leaving soon for dance meetup tonight. I will be going to karaoke event if given opportunity.

Last night I applied for job about 8 min away from house. After applying I saw the hours for position. It’s 10 to 7 pm and will cut into meetup events. I’m really enjoying these events and would like to have life outside work. I’m undecided about this company if given job interview.

 

Today was soooooo long. I found out a ton of people are calling in sick tomorrow. Well great. It’ll be just me.

We ordered in Chinese but it was yuck. My kid loved it tho.

 

Wasn’t expecting my culinary talents to sell out this evening at bingo.

I will confess I don’t eat beans: kidney, navy, red, white, pinto, or any other type. But… had requests from a few bingo players to make red beans and rice with andouille sausage. Searched for and found a simple recipe. Bought the ingredients ($8 total, including the sausage) and started cooking early this morning. Since I don’t eat beans, I never tasted the beans and sausage, but everyone said it was great. Might have to put it on the menu in the future.

Funny part, the folks who requested it weren’t there to have some.

This morning I cleaned my house. As of work it was business like usual.

In last few hours I picked up dinner from Puzza Hut. I also signed up for meetup event on Wednesday.

Today was absolutely exhausting. For some reason I got caught up in this drama at work, even tho I told both parties I didn’t want to get in the middle of it. So two hours later, I have done no work and the other person is crying and just wtf. I hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday and I didn’t sleep well. Then I had a meeting with my boss and he was very kind but I am just pissed off at the world lately and work mostly.

Then my baby felt sorry for me and took me and the kid out for dinner and it was soooo good! I had Guiness steak and mushroom pie with the best gravy I’ve ever had! With Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes and veg.

Now I’m about to call my work bestie and give her all the gossip she missed lol. We keep in touch by sending memes to each other all day

 

It was a normal day.

This morning I washed clothes then went grocery shopping. Afterwards I mowed front and back lawn. Had an issue with mower that slowed getting it down quicker.

I’m laying on couch keeping cool and might play a game.

 

It's been great - no errands and no chores. I just watched movies, as is my wont, all on Prime Video.

First up was 'American Yakuza' starring Viggo Mortensen in his first truly 'starring role.' Great movie, with plenty of action, with well-founded and believable relationships. There are logic issues, but nothing to deter from the story throughput.


Next was 'Cockneys Vs Zombies' - and I tend to hate straight-forward Zombie movies, but given the title, what else would you need to know about the thrust of this film? Great action and humor, with light, but believable emotional impact, this Feast of Mayhem was a delight.
Marvelous!


So that flick got me in the mood, so I watched 'Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse' - another fabulous Zombie Action Comedy. I'm still not sure which Zombie Comedy I liked better, but this one had way more heart, and still had awesome action.


Let it be noted that neither of the above movies were funnier than 'Shaun of the Dead', but the action in both was WAY better.

To me, that's a great Saturday!

 

It was busy. I got sauce fixings from the Italian market because I’m making a big batch of sauce tomorrow. With meatballs and Italian sausage. I got a damn hammer lol. I washed my hair and finally washed my new sheets and put them on the bed. They’re dreamy! So soft and thick.

I’m about to watch a movie with my baby and relax.

 

It got off to a weak start - woke up at around midnight with a foot cramp that I had to walk off, then couldn't get back to sleep, but a very long nap later ironed that out. No chores, no errands, just movies on Prime after that.

1st viewing of 'Collide' was good - a love story framed by intense drug trafficking action. It was energetic, with great action, but I 'saw' the big love story rather than 'felt' it. Maybe the fault of the script, maybe the actors, but they crashed a bunch of cars in realistic ways, so I'm good.



Then, a 1st viewing of a 1966 war film, 'Lost Command' starring Anthony Quinn. Great battle action, but considering that Quinn was portrayed as a Colonel fighting for French Colonialism in Vietnam, and again in Algeria, it's impossible to sympathize with the French. The French government's attutude towards their colonies was brutal, and does NOT make them heroes - even though the 'bad guys' in Algeria are still 'bad guys' today. Just enjoy the action.


Now I'm halfway through a 2nd, maybe 3rd viewing of 'Brannigan' a 1975 detective/action flick with the rough and tumble Duke working with the By-The-Book Scotland yard. Great fun, and great John Wayne. Love the 70s movies like this - AND the music - like this one, scored by Dominic Frontiere, with that uniquely 70s funky/jazzy, brass heavy background.
I don't really remember, but I'm betting Wayne gets his man.



Pretty damn good Sunday - and tomorrow, I'm still off work!

Started off bad, sister inlaw thought I was having a seizure this morning. When she touched me to roll me on my side, I fell off the couch and hit my head on the coffee table.

She got mad at me for not going to the hospital to get checked out. Now I have a migraine and just wanting to leave.

Having coffee and getting ready to leave and go back to work. My poor brother is trying to explain why I have night tremors and bringing up alot of memories.

 

Yesterday was productive. I cleaned, and made a huge pot of pasta with meatballs. I hung some new pictures.

Last night I saw Twisters with the the kid and we ate hot buttered popcorn and hot buttery pretzels.

 

It was a lazy day.
