Today was productive. Put new office furniture together (IKEA), mounted the 48" tv in the office, reorganized some wiring, and getting some storage options together. Didn't get to hang the new whiteboard, but all in all - not bad.

 

Good. I am scrapping a old 60" riding lawn mower. Have to take it apart as they wont take it whole. Got a lot done. Satisfying day.

 

I mostly hung out with the kid. Now we are baking cookies.

 

It's been a fine Sunday. Had steak and eggs for breakfast and wayched movies, all on Prime Video.

Started off with 'The Doorman.' While it may suffer from misplaced comparisons to 'Die Hard' - as soooooo many movies do, it was a fun thrill ride with Ruby Rose saving everybody and really 'acting out' in sometimes gruesome ways on the bad guys. If you look for logic or motivational issues, you'll find them. I had a good time with it.


In keeping with the standard action fare, was 'Sabotage', which was a cut above the usual Mark Dascacos action flicks, with a great assist by the 'pre-Matrix' Carrie Anne Down. It's great if you like the genre, but this ain't today's 'Citizen Caine.' I enjoyed it.


I'm now halfway through 'Wanted Dead or Alive' starring Rutger Hauer, who I have always felt was an underrated action star. He's got a great persona and presence, and while this movie, with him chasing down Gene Simmons (Kiss) as a terrorist is everything it promises to be, it's hauer that humanizes it all. I kbow I've seen this, but I forget most of it. My money's on Hauer for the win.


I'm totally good with a 'cheap thrills' action flick Sunday.

I’m laying on couch keeping cool and watching videos on YouTube.

Tomorrow will be an earlier morning as I will need to be up to pick up KC Chiefs flags. Later on I will be at meetup event. I also signed up for one next Thursday to see band from past events.

 

It was a long day.

This morning I was up at 5am to buy KC Chiefs flags at local McDonalds.

As of work it was business like usual. Phone calls were constant again. Had a conversation with a customer that was 40 min but it was a great one.

I’m heading to meet up event and hoping to meet new people. I will be done after 7 pm. I also signed up for a new event next Wednesday. Have a few members I’m also giving flags to in group today and tomorrow.

 

Past week of so Boring. Sucks !!! Think time to move on!!

 

Better , the last few were bad and before that terrible,..,.I had my GB out Friday, my age and anesthesia not a good mix,.and complications and getting old sucks

 

I went to the opthamologist today and it wasn’t fun, but so far no invasive treatments. Yet. And then he charged me $125! I’m not used to paying for medical stuff. I’m pretty sure I can get it back through my insurance but still. Rude.

I took the day off work because both eyes were dilated and just relaxed. I had a bad anxiety attack at the dr so I just wanted to chill and distract myself.

I made chicken burgers for dinner and watched Con Air. Wow that’s a bad movie lol. But it was fun.

And now off to bed! (Soon)

I’m laying on couch and will be leaving soon to go to KC Chiefs meetup watch party at 6:30 pm at local restaurant. Might head to karaoke event if offered. Hope to members I’ve never met before. Got two KC Chiefs flags to hand out to female members.

 

Long and hard, again. Right now I'm wishing my cock could keep up with my days.

I’m laying on couch and will be heading to pickleball venue tonight that will have band from past events. It will have meetup members. Start time is 8 pm.

 

Well, how's this:
At 7:30 I went to the office and decided to mess with my coffee team
At 8:15 my CEO and I messed with our staff and broke the happy news
At 9:30, my team performed like flawless ninjas.
At 11:00, karma hit and our old CEO struck back on an advisor call. FYI - she fucked that up
At 1:30, I left the office and was mildly happy about today.
At 4:00, my boss told me to enjoy my weekend - knowing that I'm working on her equipment this weekend.

So.. bittersweet? There's bourbon!

 

Today was pretty good. My work bestie is back from vacation! We had lunch together. And there was a management barbque so I grabbed a smokie and left before I was asked to “network.” I hate that shit.

We ordered in yummy food. I had Guinness steak and mushroom stew and watched Rings of Power.

An ok day.

 

Good day. Got my younger son into see a new shrink and she hit on several things right away we suspected. Seemed to be really competent, her initial question set was very thorough. Son was comfortable with her. Then he and I watched a couple of seasons of Game of Thrones. WAY too much lovely flesh in that show, always makes me ache for the taste of a woman. Also got some work done in the hoarder garage. Moving shelving out of attic and rebuilding on wall where there was, until last week, enough Civil War reenactment gear to equip an entire platoon campsite to combat. And made a pot of split pea soup, the good way from scratch.

 

It was a normal day.

This morning I went to laundry mat to wash clothes then went grocery shopping. Afterwards I took dog to Petsmart for cleaning. I also picked up breakfast at Hardee’s.

Remainder of the day it was me around the house.

I’m in bedroom and scheduled to leave soon for meetup event that is 30 min away. It’s my way to get out of house and meet someone which hasn’t occurred. I hope one day it happen and have someone say I’m worthy.

 

It's been okay. I did all my errands, including my supermarket run, so I only had enough time to re-watch one movie:

I saw 'I Spy' maybe almost two decades ago, and it was fine, but for today's viewing, I remembered almost nothing. I had a great time, but just remember: comedy takes precendence over logic. Nice how they flipped the script on the characters, and both Murphy and Wilson played at the top of their games. Very enjoyable.


It passes for an okay Saturday.
