We know that a female child of 10 onwards can get pregnant. It is a biological fact. So with the reckoning of Matthew 24, that should be the green light for all parents to line there children up to have sex with peodophiles. However what Matthew fails to see is just because the girl of 10 can get pregnant, she is not developed enough to cope with a mans penis penetrating her.

Just taking it further he seems to belive that in centuries gone by it was acceptable for men to prey on girls of a young age. But there is no evidence that this happened. A girl of 10 or 12 in the dark ages made pregnant would almost in all cases have died in childbirth. It is only medical science that has corrected this. THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT ETHICALLY ACCEPTABLE.

 

I would say that the central ethical point is that it's not okay to force or coerce someone into having sex. So then the question becomes, at what age can you say that a person is not being forced or coerced -- that is, at what age can a person make a sound, rational decision, not subject to undue influence by someone older and more powerful.

You are sapposed to be fucking and giving birth at 13+. In every other species on the planet, sex happens when the creature becomes sexually capable of having a child. Puberty is a very energeticlly costly process to your body, nature does not design your body to go through puberty so that you can with-hold birthing for another 8 years. Its a waste of energy, from a survival standpoint, to have puberty and not use it.

you have sexual impulses to act on learn from them. You are not given them to subdue them because someone older thinks you are not mature enough in thought process. Your brain is developed to process sexual experiences during puberty.

The age of consent is the age of consent for a reason. Now I can only speak from a UK viewpoint because I live their but with our age of consent being 16 I think thats quite low enough thank you very much. Why? Because girls when they are developing in the lower regions can't really do much sexually or it will damage them massively, I mean massively it can cause them to go sterile. Now sterile incase you don't know means they cant have babies. If the age of consent is 12. How can you make sure a girl doesn't have sex until she is developed? Surely that depends on each individual. Some people mature quicker than others. The line has to be drawn somewhere. There are many people on this forum who have described experiences, that would be classed as statutory rape, as having been positive.
I personally think 16 years old, as is the case in most European countries, is about right.

Does it matter whether it is a mental or physical coercion? They are both still rape.

Where did you come up with that one? Girls that have babies at a young age do not go sterile. They do have a greter chance of dying because their hips haven't widened out yet. Gee, I've got a 16 yo niece that's preggers with number three already. It's too bad she isn't sterile. She's dumber than a brick and I'm sure that the unknown dads are too. Her kids will be lucky if they don't end up on welfare forever.

In most of the posts I have read everyone is referring to young females 12-13. My thought is what if it is a young boy 16-18? Not sure what the age of consent is here, but what if it's a young boy chasing an older woman? And by older I mean 25-40? I do agree that 12-13 in either gender is much to young...pregnancy, stds, not to mention the effects on said childs self esteem. Mentally not ready at all.

There are some teens who are mature enough but most are not and for that the rule should stay.

I think it should be age 18 just because the frontal lobe of teens brain it the last to develop and it the part that make choices based on long-term effect. Its only at 90% at age 18 for the average teen

A teen should have their brain scanned to see if they are mature enough to understand the draw back. if they can't then the have to wait until they can or age 18.
