I suppose lowering the legal age could work but 13 does seem a bit young. Perhaps lowering it to around 16 would be more permissable. God knows thats when the average kid loses his/her virginity anyways

Seems like the parents have already made their decission on the legal age of consent. Now a days lots of kids who are of legal age are not even capable of makeing a resonable, let alone a rational decission to wheather they want to fuck or not. I can't believe this thread has lasted so long. It's really kind of ridiculous. If an underage girl or guy wants to have sex, their going to do it. Plenty do everyday. I lost my virginity before my 12th birthday. It was my choice (sort of). But the legal age limit is there to protect kids from adults that will try to manipulate and use them. It's the law, and obviously supported by the majority. Live with it or move somewhere that has a majority that feel as you do, if there is such a place.

 

Just because a girl has the body of a woman does not mean she has the mind of an adult. From the priestly pedophile scandal we have learned that teenagers can be physically compliant, but still be emotionally hurt by sex with a man. :idea:

I have always looked a lot older than I am, when I was 12 I looked 18. Just because you look a certain way doesn't mean that you are or that you have mentally caught up with the changes in the body. Its took me till about now to catch up.

I think it should stay the same age limit and when a person is ready they will have sex. Legal or illegal should be up to the persons involved. T X

well I would lower the age too. not just for me, I've never had sex and currently don't think I ever will. however, children are having sex younger and younger and many are getting branded as sex offenders and having their life ruined by stupid outdated laws. I understand some children need to be protected but not all.

 

Just because ones body is willing does not mean the mind is. Teenagers at thirteen are still mentally like children.

I heard of a fifteen year old boy who is now a sex offender for the rest of his life because of what he did with another fifteen year old.
Unless the girl was mentally deficient in some way I don't see how she wouldn't be equally culpable.

One of the reasons, as you state that children of 11, 12 were having sex and getting pregnant was because they only lived into their twenties, even during the industrial revolution in England the average life span was about 36, now when people are living into their 80 and even 90's there's no reason for children of the age you're proposing to have sex. So if you want to fuck a minor then you must have a screw loose somewhere. It one thing to do it in fiction, which I've done, but when it comes to reality, no way. One of the reasons people that are attracted to children is because the cannot survive in a relationship with an adult.
